Hii, i dunno if you actually care about this but i have a silly Baiken hc

So, yknow how she had ginger-ish hair in the first guilty gear game? Well, i have the hc that after that game she started to dye her hair pink for some reason that i can't actually think of

So i draw her hair pink but with ginger roots

Also, i love your art, it's so very gorgeous!!!

Honestly I think it would be interesting if she just did it purely because she wanted to/thought it looked cool. That might not fit exactly since in canon she seems like a very practical character and would probably actually view it as a waste of time, but maybe it's like a nice thing or ritual she does for herself every once in a while. It's probably a lot easier to dye your hair pink/red with some extra help (Anji) too.

I would like to let everyone know that Delilah wearing Baiken's jacket is very important to me and I will also be doing more of it in the future

are there specific things u keep in mind when doing lineart? im trying to improve in that field n ur lines r just SO CRISP ✨✨✨

YAAAAAAAY LINEART QUESTION!

Don't know how well I'll be at explaining this since it's kind of become second nature to me, but usually I try to vary my line weights and do a lot of more gestural line strokes? If I want something more thinner/delicate I try to go for a more lighter touch, and vice versa if I want a more thicker line, yada yada all that stuff. But even if you use a brush that isn't really affected by pressure and stays the same, I'd overall recommend being loose and confident with your strokes, even if they're just laying down straight lines. Don't think too much, just go with the flow, try not to be too rigid, that whole thing. (also stabilization is your friend! Don't be afraid to mess with it however you want)

I also take a lot of inspiration from artists like Ulysse Malassagne or Matias Bergara who have a very rough and loose lineart style as well (although their lineart is a bit more thinner than what I usually do, and they also have the benefit of using a traditional brush pen)

But if you look closely enough you can see where they keeps a lighter touch for small details vs where they add just a liiiittle more pressure for that line variation, and how overall loose it is.

It's more obvious in La Cachette's animation lineart too

TLDR: Keep it loose and gestural, don't be afraid to vary or break it up here and there, sometimes I go over some lines to make it thicker just because it looks more interesting to me, and experiment! Think about an artist you like, do a study on how they do their lineart, try a new brush pen and just scribble on the canvas, fool around with settings and brushes you've never tried before, just try to have fun with it. I've found that sometimes, mindless nonsense doodling can produce some of the best art you've ever made.

Drawing Anji can be so frustrating sometimes because I'll put in SO much effort into the arm muscles or whatever and then I gotta draw his dramatic sleeves and suddenly all that hard work goes out the window.

I've answered something similar before on this ask, but to be honest it's kinda hard to say? I don't really have any least favorites outside of ones that make me uncomfortable for Obvious Reasons, but for the most part I'd rather not say just cuz I don't wanna be rude/hurt anyone's feelings.

Hello, vantablackdraws! Do you have any other favorite pairs from Guilty Gear or other works? if it's not difficult for you, can you tell us about them and how you liked them? How do you see the dynamics between these characters?

That's certainly a tall order of an ask my friend... well let's see, for Guilty Gear pairings, I also like:

Chaos and Daryl: I think Daryl can sorta play at his level and therefore possibly beat him at his own game so to speak. I mean he had Chaos convinced that he was a coffee addict only to be revealed he didn't like coffee. I think Chaos would find him interesting. Plus that line "It's so boring here, I shoulda kept Daryl at least." hmmmmmmmmm

Chipp and Answer: Changing Answer's life for the better and from a situation he was similarly in before aside, Chipp is also kind of a dumbass (a very competent one, mind you, but still). And Answer having the energy of "I would literally kill for you but Jesus Christ you drive me insane-" is funny to me. You got a lot of potential for tender/more serious moments as well as some comedy in there.

Axl and I-No: I don't really know a lot about them outside of Strive and some other lore but every time I think about them I get kinda sad, because it feels like Sol and Jack-o except if it doesn't work out. Like the whole "do you love me for who I am, or because I remind you of someone you used to love?" dilemma (plus I-No's whole doomed situation adding an extra pinch of angst-)

Nagoryuki and Testament: Tbh I'm unsure on whether I like this one romantically or more platonically, maybe I'll just keep it vague because I like that. But I think they have a lot of potential based on their arcade interactions and their similar history. Testament understands what it's like to be controlled against your will, or as they (roughly) put it, "I know what it's like to carry yourself like some sort of demon". I think they could also bring out Nago's more lighthearted and playful side (the dad jokes), maybe they could drink tea and go on long walks, just take time to appreciate life again together as two semi-immortal(?) beings. I think that would be nice.

Aaaand the other ships I also like are KyDizzy, RoboVenom, Mayburi, JohnnyTess, SolJacko, and AbaCelsus. They're just nice <3

I would love to see Bedman (without the question mark) in your style! Bonus if he's with Delilah.
