the first page of a digital comic featuring characters from the band ghost. the top panel shows copia crying loudly and yelling near the body of his mother on a stretcher from the movie "rite here rite now". In the bottom panel, a letter suddenly hits him in the back of the head knocking him over.

the second page showing copia grabbing the letter with a "slap" before looking at the now open letter with teary eyes and a disgruntled expression. The text reads "My dear son; sorry that hit you so hard. anyways, big changes are coming- the ministry needs a new leader..."

the third page where Copia is now looking extra disgruntled and upset with nameless ghoul sodo peeking in behind him as the text reads "But not you. We've given the position to someone more responsible". The second panel shows the plush version of frater imperator with a dial phone to his head, a pen balanced in his other arm. on the back wall is a plaque that says "#1 boss".

the fourth page; copia now has big sparkly happy eyes with both sodo and rain ghoul behind him as the text reads "As for you, you'll get to keep your wish of performing"; in the bottom panel he crushes the paper, his smile twisting into shocked rage as it finishes with "but the stage will no longer be yours alone". behind him phantom ghoul has joined the other two.

page 5; copia is now facing his brother perpetua, copia looking tensely angry with an intense glare at perpetua who is dressed as a cardinal of the ministry and a simplified version of his mask. Perpetua has his arms tucked behind his back with a nervous smile as the text reads "Starting now, you and your twin brother will be the first ever Emeritus duo. Love, (mama crossed out) sister."

the second panel shows copia now pointing and shouting aggressively "You'll never make me like him!" with a note clarifying on the bottom "as in enjoy his company". Perpetua is glancing away nervously sweating.

page 6 titled "cue the next 6 months"; the top panel shows the two now sitting on the floor in front of a couch playing on a game system with controllers, both moving actively as they play. in the corner the frater plush behind them has a tax document lurking.

in the bottom panel, the brothers are laughing as copia holds a water balloon; behind them sodo ghoul is stanced in surprise and dripping with water insinuating they threw some at him.

page 7; continuing the waterballoon panel, sodo has now ignited in a rush of fire glaring over his shoulder at the two who run with panic. In the bottom panel perpetua is posing with shocked glee at his first ghoul he's summoned, air ghoul tempest, to which copia is looking on with surprise with him.

page 9; the top panel has perpetua now recording copia with a video camera as copia is about to flush a cherry bomb down a toilet. In the bottom panel, they're both guiltily looking down and pointing at each other soaking wet as papa primo is glaring down them both.

the final 10th panel titled "finally" showing perpetua in his stage costume now with copia both singing on stage together with tempest and sodo ghoul performing behind them.

a disclaimer that reads ‘please don’t use or repost somewhere else’.

"what if" silly scenario if the Emeritus twins situation went a little different :)

There’s a protest going on against AI art over on artstation, so I feel like now is the time for me to make a statement on this issue!

I wholeheartedly support the ongoing protest against AI art. Why? Because my artwork is included in the datasets used to train these image generators without my consent. I get zero compensation for the use of my art, even though these image generators cost money to use, and are a commercial product.

Musicians are not being treated the same way. Stability has a music generator that only uses royalty free music in their dataset. Their words: “Because diffusion models are prone to memorization and overfitting, releasing a model trained on copyrighted data could potentially result in legal issues.” Why is the work of visual artists being treated differently?

Many have compared image generators to human artists seeking out inspiration. Those two are not the same. My art is literally being fed into these generators through the datasets, and spat back out of a program that has no inherent sense of what is respectful to artists. As long as my art is literally integrated into the system used to create the images, it is commercial use of my art without my consent.

Until there is an ethically sourced database that compensates artists for the use of their images, I am against AI art. I also think platforms should do everything they can to prevent scraping of their content for these databases.

Artists, speak out against this predatory practice! Our art should not be exploited without our consent, and we deserve to be compensated when our art is exploited for commercial use.
