[LinkedUniverse AU]: Farore's Spirits - 8 / 9 Heroes and their Spirits.

Note: the sketch colours do not have any significant meaning and is mostly part of how I differentiate multiple characters on the same page.

Here are the original 2021 sketches that are part of the Farore's Spirits. This is a redrawing of the original Farore's Spirits which I did tease about back...on January 2022 but then stuff happened. And it has been sitting in my WIP folder since then. :')

This is for a headcanon / fun idea of the nine Heroes gaining an animal spirit companion which represents their strongest attributes. And they are all are originally "blessings" from Farore, though this may changed along with what Wild's role is with the new context from TotK. Hence why Wild's not included in this set.

Will I ever come back and finish these off? Mayhaps. It will be while though... :D

Bruce's species is closely related to the gargantuan leviathan meaning he's pretty big like so big he shouldn't be living in the crater. He mostly lives in the larger more open areas but really he should be living in the void. He's more long than wide like a snake with thick pitch black scales covering him like armor. He's one of the few leviathans with "hands" four clawed fingers on each of them. He keeps the head shape of the gargantuan leviathan's with six glowing white eyes. basically a huge freaking underwater snake with a mouth of razor sharp teeth.

Damian's a hybrid between Bruce and Talia (A ghost Leviathan) he's just big enough to wrap himself around Danny's base once but he's not done growing yet. Like Bruce he's long and snakelike but he lacks the visual scale armor all over his body. Only his forehead, chest and arms have the pitch black scales. His fingers are clawed extremely sharp but he's only got four on each hand. the rest of his body is semi transparent and pale like the ghost Leviathans. He's got what looks like blue, yellow and green stripes on him but those are really just organs and blood vessels you can vaguely see through his skin. He's got some short tattered fins that run along his the sides of his body which are dotted by a line of bioluminescent spots. His arms are kind of lanky like a cat that's not quite fully grown. He's got a similar head shape to Bruce but his jaw is slimmer, his teeth more crammed together as is a (inefficient) filter feeder.

Tim looks similar to a squid shark. He's one of the smallest of the batfam. He doesn't have any arms just two large dorsal fins on each side of his body and two long, thin electric blue tendrils below them that can clumsily grab things though he shocks everything he grabs. He lives in the deeper areas of the blood kelp forest so the top side of his body often has blood oil clinging to him to blend in. Like the squid shark he's got that freaky jaw and jets to propel him through the water.

Duke is based of the hover fish in color scheme his yellow body is covered in spots some of which are shaped like bats including a white spot on his main chest. He's got two blanket like fins at the sides of his body and his gills give off a metallic shine to attract prey. The chapter where we get a glimpse of Duke Danny describes him as snake-like but really he's thicker and more like a betafish in shape.

Dick shows some resemblance to an amp eel with his exoskeleton being like armor plating and his whole electric but that's where most of the similarities end. He's got javelin like fins and spindly arms that he uses for climbing they're can become electrified when he's stressed like the rest of his body. He's built to be extremely quick with a wide range of maneuverability but he's still too big for the shallows. He keeps his Nightwing color scheme of black and blue although the colors are more muted.

Jason obviously resembles the Reaper leviathan. He's got burn scars across his body and one of his fins has been torn in half. His head shape is almost indistinguishable from a regular reaper although he's got a few extra eyes two of which are dulled stained slightly green (dormant Kharaa) he's got a horn at the top of his head he uses to launch things at top speed (fish version of gun) He's bigger than any of the reapers and a deeper red in color it's only if you look at him long enough that you can realize his patterns are different.

As for Danny he's a little kid looking to be around the age of two or three. He's got fangs that inhibit his speech a bit giving him a bit of a lisp. His eyes are still blue but if he's in a darker area they glow a bioluminescent green along. His hair has patches of white and his ears are pointed.

(For now, only Tim has his humanoid form designed but I'll reblog when that changes)

Bonding Over Hero Caretaking

(This is a little funny idea I had.) Mr. Lancer and Alfred are apart of an anonymous group that vents to each other about the hero's they keep an eye on so they don't end themselves by accident via something like not eating. Alfred finds what Lancer says concerning seeing as he hasn't heard B or the others comment on a hero described as Lancer has said. He talks to Barb about it but her AND Tim can't find out who Lancer is or where he is. Talks happen, Alfred starts talking to Lancer in private msgs at first as a way to get info but then he genuinely likes the talks. He decides that even after they find the unknown hero he's going to stay in contact with Lancer. Lancer just likes having a friend he can rant to about Danny without putting the teen in danger. Once they do find Amity they shut down the AECA and the GIW, they also offer Phantom a place in the YJ till he's old enough to join the JL. Throughout this Lancer and Alfred have kept in touch and Lancer even took trips to visit Alfred at times. One day, while out and about, Steph stumbles upon Alfred while he was making a Grocery run at a Cafe with Lancer. She stops by to say hi, only to be told by Alfred that while its lovely to see her, he's on a date. He kept the others out of her dates and he'd appreciate privacy for his, she leaves and immediately gossips with Cass since she wont tell anyone else till Alfred's date is over. Lancer x Alfred

I love Danny as a cryptid energy. Like at first he's just vibing over gotham like a big jellyfish full of stars essentially filter feeding on the corrupted ectoplasm. The bat fam are completely at a loss of what to do. He's not hurting anyone and he's kinda pretty. They just have a giant translucent space whale chilling in the sky. Red hood the first to make contact standing on a roof waving to him.

"Um hey can we like talk?" He shouts at the blob.

Danny comes down and sheds his massive form, turning into a king with too many of just everything, and then just a teenager?

He tilts his head looking at hood, eyes containing multitudes look odd on a kid wearing a galaxy print hoody and jeans (are those jeggings?). He shakes his head and when he opens his eyes again they are normal human blue.

"Yeah," he says, "you look like you might need some help."

"Um," says Hood, "Do you want a cookie? I'm not sure what a good sacrifice is but Zatanna says things valuable to the caster are usually more powerful. And like these are the best. My grandpa makes them."

"Sure," says the kid taking a bite of one, "Man these are good. So I suppose you want to know what's going on with your ecto situation?"

"Ecto?"

"Yeah like the green stuff?"

"The pits? Pit rage?"

"Pits? Is that what the puddles were? The guys around there were not happy when I ate those."

"You ate the Lazarus pits?"

"Yeah kinda tasted like the blue cotton candy? Ecto with lots of negative emotions and magic tend to taste kinda like blue raspberry."

"That's... A lot to process. Are you going to eat the pits...ecto in me?"

"I can but it's what's holding you together. So that would kill you and send your soul to eternal rest."

"Sounds bad."

"It's not but that's not your only option. Obviously I can leave you as you are. I'm guessing you get outbursts where the negative emotions take over?"

"Pit rage yeah"

"So there's that. Or I can replace the bad ecto with good that would make you a Half like me. Half human - Half Ghost. Pros include some superpowers, at minimum flight, invisibility and intangibility, eternal life, and access to the infinite realms. Cons include an awkward adjustment phase, difficulty controlling your emotions, and you would be locked out of your eternity of choice. Once you're a ghost you're a ghost forever."

"That's a lot to consider."

"Yeppers"

"Can I take a bit to consider?"

"Absolutely. My name is Danny Phantom. If you yell that out I should be able to hear you from anywhere in the multiverse. I'm going to be here for a couple of years your time anyway cleaning up your ecto sphere. Looks like the entire universe's bad ecto all coagulates over this city so I'll just be floating around. Feel free to tell whatever authority you want that they can ask to talk to me. I won't stop and none of you can make me but I can explain what I'm doing and it's good for the universe as a whole."

"Okay, um thanks. Do you want another cookie for the road?"

"Sure! Have a good one dude!"

"Erm... You too?"
