so I got into grad school today with my shitty 2.8 gpa and the moral of the story is reblog those good luck posts for the love of god
can’t believe there’s going to be a new generation of pjo fans who automatically picture walker scobell when they think of percy jackson and not a hodgepodge of viria and burdge’s fanart. does that make me old
Look, I didn’t want to be a half blood. Being a half blood is dangerous. It’s scary. Most of the time it gets you killed. If you think you might be one of us, my advice is turn away while you still can. Believe whatever lie your mom or dad told you about your birth. Try to live a normal life. Because once you know what you are, they’ll sense it too. And they’ll come for you. Don’t say i didn’t warn you
First look at Percy Jackson and the Olympians
unpopular opinion: percy jackson movies
I actually really liked and enjoyed the percy jackson films! I just don't really look at them as Percy Jackson & The Olympians book adaptations, more of just like PJO AU live action fanfiction lol. ALSO IM REALLY EXCITED FOR THE NEW PJO SERIES COMING OUT SOON ON DISNEY PLUS!
one fun thing about being a teacher in march 2023 is that chess is a literal epidemic among teens. we are starting to have meetings about how we can STOP teenagers from playing too much chess which is like if we were trying to figure out how to stop them from reading for fun. When i was in high school five years ago chess was nerd shit only but now it is transcending every social and language barrier and is absolutely rampant. kids aren’t on their phone texting in class anymore it’s ONLY chess.com. kids are playing chess on their phones while playing chess in real life. this is still better than tiktok because at least the kids are developing an attention span from this
I WANTED THEM TO GET TOGETHER SO BAD 😭
Ralph talking about Daniel and Kumiko at Planet Comicon last weekend (April 24, 2022)
Q: What was, like, the best part and some of the challenges of bringing back such an iconic character from Karate Kid, and also showing the growth and the changes that’s he’s going through throughout the years?
A: …I always thought, in the real world, Daniel would have probably went [sic] back to Okinawa and revisited his romance with Kumiko, y’know? I just felt that that was an unfilled storyline, so…But that wasn’t how it worked in the Cobra Kai world and the essence of telling that story. So the challenges were being open-minded to a new…new avenues. But in that, it gives birth to more depth and more interesting things, y’know, because there’s… as Spider-Man will tell you, there could be multiverses, so who knows where Daniel LaRusso would be in a different universe?

All those amazing fanfics! Each an alternate universe! 😍
LITERALLY
unpopular opinion: kumiko and daniel should have ended up together
Just binged Dead End Paranormal Park and holy shit this show is a must watch, especially if you're into fantastical worldbuilding, horror undertones, and good representation as well as stellar animation
cartoon found families: a collection
Y'all need to stop sleeping on this show. I know it only came out yesterday, but seriously, watch it as soon as possible. Dead End: Paranormal Park is one of the best cartoons I've seen in a while. And with the Owl House coming to a close, a new found family horror comedy is very welcome. I haven't finished it yet, but what I have seen is wonderful.
Likeable and interesting main characters.
Clear and prominent LGBTQ representation.
Accurate depiction of anxiety/panic attacks.
Cute talking pug that does magic sometimes.
Very nice racial diversity.
Interesting plot and storyline that hooks you.
Just the right amount of scary.
You get the idea. I adore this show. I can't wait to see more. Hopefully Netflix gets it's junk together and doesn't cancel this like it has many other promising shows before it. Please everyone, I urge you to give it a watch. It's got cute moments, creepy moments, moments that make you tear up a little. It's just great and you should see it.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Norma autism moments compilation (tm)
Dead End: Paranormal Park is out, so here’s a reminder that autistic isn’t a bad word. Don’t say that Norma is nuerodivergent. Just say autistic. Norma is canonically autistic.
Wow I love Dead End: Paranormal Park
Please watch Dead End: Paranormal Park. Not only does it have an explicitly trans, gay main character that has an explicitly gay and trans story arc, but the other main character is canonically autistic and is by far the best written autistic character I’ve ever seen.
Also Alex Brightman plays a dog possessed by a demon and yes he sings.
