MY LADY

yandere! knight x princess reader

pronouns used: she/her

warnings: yandere, jealousy, afab reader, sexism/misogyny :(, not safe for work, semi-nudity, nonconsensual kissing/touching,

For as long as you could remember, you’d dreamed of one day leaving your kingdom behind to pursue a simpler life. You adored your people, of course, but the fantasy of running off and becoming a knight had always tugged at your heart.

It was destined to only stay a dream. As the princess, you had a duty to fulfil, and you owed it to your people and your family to stick to it.

You’d spent so many nights staring longingly from your bedroom window, watching as the head knight, your personal bodyguard, Aleron, train with his sword. The way his wrist flicked the weapon so gracefully, you envied him.

In fact, you’d selected Aleron to be your primary guard in hopes that he’d teach you a thing or two if you asked, that he’d be more willing to help you since he was closer to your age than any of the others.

Unfortunately, he was the same as all the other guards you’d ever been assigned, whining on and on about how “You’re far too delicate to learn such a violent art!” and so on.

You didn’t understand. Your brother, the prince, had been attending sword fighting lessons since he could walk, and was never told he was too “fragile” or “precious” to fight.

As you grew older, you began to accept your position in life, even if you were miserable. As you grew up, Aleron was right by your side, growing alongside you.

“Good morning, my lady.” He called out from outside your bedroom, tapping his knuckles to the door. “Are you awake?”

“I’m up!” You called back, sighing as you struggled to pull on your gown. You cursed under your breath, groaning and throwing your arms down.

“Is something the matter, my lady?”

“I can’t get my dress on!” You complained, fighting the urge to pick up the fabric and burn it. You huffed. “Could you find one of the maids to help me, please?”

“I would love to, my lady, but the entire staff is helping the prince prepare for his coronation.”

You felt your fingers twitch, aching, burning to punch something. You’d always been a secondary priority, always in your brother’s shadow.

“The entire staff?” You asked, pressing your forehead against the door. “Are you positive?”

“Yes, I’m terribly sorry. Would you like me to—“

“Aleron, just let yourself in.” You sighed, pulling up the dress that laid at your feet and backing away. He opened the door, only to immediately drop his sword.

He stumbled backwards, his face rapidly heating up, a red hot blush covering his entire body. “M-My Lady—“

“Here. All you must do is tie these ribbons in the back.” You instructed, pulling the dress up your legs.

He didn’t respond, merely ogling at the sight of his beloved princess. He’d never had the honor of seeing anybody dressed in such a manner, especially you. Being royalty, you were always dressed in long dresses and frilly nightgowns.

He’d never so much as seen your ankles.

“Aleron, are you alright?”

“Y-yes, of course, I apologize.” He cleared his throat and adjusted his gloves, standing behind you. He lifted your dress up, nimble fingers working swiftly to fasten the ribbons. “All done, my lady.”

“You do know you can call me Y/N, don’t you?” You asked, turning around to face him.

“Yes, but that would be incredibly disrespectful. I’m in no position to regard you with such casualty, my lady.”

You fought back your umpteenth sigh and nodded. “Right, well, thank you for your help. I hope my body wasn’t entirely nauseating.”

You giggled a bit to yourself, hoping to lighten the mood.

“Lord, of course not, my lady! Pardon me for saying so, but your body is absolutely perfect, I assure you!” He insisted passionately.

“Thank you.” You smiled softly and he swore his heart melted in his chest. “Now, you’d ought to head to my brother’s coronation, haven’t you?”

“My lady, aren’t you going to attend?”

You glanced away. “I’ll be there shortly. I have to finish getting ready.”

He reluctantly nodded and disappeared down the hall. You let your shoulders slump and you quickly kicked off your heels, replacing them with a pair of your brother’s shoes that you’d stolen from his bedroom the night prior.

You turned to the vanity, grabbing an old cloak from the tabletop and slinging it on over your shoulders.

You carefully made your way out back, entering the garden. Everybody was all to busy preparing to crown your brother as king, so it was entirely empty.

You smiled giddily, prepared to start your life. You held the cloak closer to your body, protecting it from the autumn breeze, and began to run.

You reached the garden gates and began climbing, only to gasp at the sound of somebody calling for you.

“My lady!?”

The voice startled you, causing you to lose your hold on the gate and fall. It was only a short distance, you would have scuffed your dress at the most, but regardless, Aleron rushed to your aid, catching you in his arms.

“Aleron!” You exclaimed in horror, pushing his shoulders as he set you down on your feet. “I thought you were heading to the ballroom for—“

“I heard your footsteps going down the hall and I knew something must have been going on. Tell me, what is your plan? Where are you going?”

You felt your emotions heighten. All you wanted was to be free from your brother’s reign.

“I am going to flee the kingdom.” You confessed, looking down at your gloved hands. “You must promise me that you won’t tell anybody!”

He blinked before kneeling down on one knee, grabbing your hand. “My lady, please, come with me, let us return to the castle. Let us attend your brother’s coronation and—“

“No!” You argued, pulling your hand away and turning around, turning your back to him. “I won’t stand by and watch my brother rule over me! I won’t allow it! I have been stuck in his shadow from the moment I was born, Aleron, I won’t do it any longer! I want to run away and become a swordsman!”

“My lady, please, you have no idea what you’re saying!”

“Yes, I do! I am sick and tired of being treated like a fragile doll!” You shouted, facing him once again. He was standing upright now, and you poked him in the chest roughly. “I am much more than a princess! My bones are not glass! I am not weak! I am—“

He suddenly sweeped you off your feet, carrying you bridal style. You glared at him, the look in your eyes breaking his heart into a million little pieces.

“Put me down! You won’t change my mind!”

“I won’t watch as you get yourself killed, my lady. Swordmanship is dangerous, and traveling outside the kingdom even more so. Many kingdoms would do sick, twisted things upon getting their hands on you, my princess!”

“Why won’t you listen to me!?” You grabbed his shoulders roughly, but his armor protected him from your sharp nails.

“I hate to see you so angry with me, my lady, but I’m only trying to protect you-“

“Protect me!? You’re out of your mind!”

“My lady, please, relax. What you need is to lay down and have some tea.”

You struggled and thrashed, but your knight was far stronger than you’d ever be. He brought you back to your bedroom, door agape from your escape.

He closed it behind him and placed you in your bed.

“It isn’t fair.” You whispered, bringing your knees to your chest and burying your head against them. “I hate it here!”

He frowned, his heart shattering at the sight of your tears. “You don’t mean that.”

“I do!” You argued, sniffling and wiping your eyes. “I want to be strong, like you! It’s all I’ve ever wanted for my entire life! Why should my brother have the best of both worlds while I’m restrained to one!? It’s not fair!”

He sat down beside you, brushing your hair soothingly, as though comforting a child having a tantrum. “I understand how you feel, my lady, and I sympathize, but you don’t need to be as strong as I am, because you have me. You will never need my strength as long as I’m around. I will defend you until my last breath.”

“You don’t get it… I don’t want you I want to be you!”

Aleron sighed and cupped your tear-stained face in his hands. “My lady, don’t cry, don’t long to be somebody you aren’t. You’re perfect.”

“It’s not about that—!”

“I need you by my side, my lady.” He insisted, tilting your chin up. His entire body was shaking with exhilaration. He’d never dared be so bold as to touch you so carelessly, and yet, here he was. “Without you, I am without a true purpose. You are the only one I want to serve for the rest of my life.”

He slowly inched closer to you, until you were pushed back and he was sat on top of you, straddling your waist and brushing his thumb over your bottom lip. “My lady… please, stay. Allow me to protect you until the day I perish. Let me bask in your presence until I am long gone.”

He carefully removed his helmet, placing it delicately on your nightstand. He turned his gaze back to you, moving his face closer to yours.

“Aleron, what are you talking about? And please, get off of me, I don’t want to be bothered right now—“

“You don’t see it? I’m saying I love you, my lady. I crave your existence, your touch, your words, your body, and your soul.” His breath hitched in his throat. He’d never intended to share his feelings for you, but you’d gotten him so passionate, so many emotions fueled by you that they began pouring out without his consent.

“You should go.” You mumbled, attempting to sit up and push him away.

He grunted, instinctively grabbing your wrists and pinning them to the mattress. “My lady, please, let’s talk about what I’ve just told you.”

“Get off of me, Aleron.”

“You are my goddess, my entire world, I grovel at the floor you walk on!” He cried, pressing his body closer to yours. Your noses were practically touching, and his lips hovered just above yours.

Every inch of his body was red with embarrassment, but he couldn’t bring himself to stop. It felt so right… so perfect being so close to you.

“All I want is for you to let me love you, my lady, my beautiful lady.” He whispered, eyes fluttering shut as he pressed his lips to yours.

You gasped against his lips, slapping his back and flinging your knees up in hopes of knocking him off, but to little avail.

He only pulled you closer, tilting his head further, soaking up the taste of your lips. His head was clouded with your taste and scent, heart hammering against his chest.

Aleron only dared part from your lips when he felt he may explode with excitement. You glared at him, teary eyed and red faced. “How dare you?” You cried, putting a hand on his face to push him away weakly. “How dare you? I don’t understand—“

He smiled. “That was my first kiss, my lady. It was always destined to be shared with you. My life is yours, I am putty in your hands. Please, say you love me, even if it’s a lie.”

“Guards!” You screamed at the top of your lungs. He frowned.

“They’re all preparing for the coronation, they can’t hear you… please, is my love so wrong? We grew up together, my lady, we’re friends. We’re soulmates. Don’t leave me over this, not now.”

“You’re sick in the head!”

“Sick with my adoration for you, my lady. My lady.” He sighed, burying his head in the crook of your neck, hands wandering to your hips. “You have no idea how long I’ve waited to hold you like this…”

You could only cry into his shoulder, too weak to fight him off.

On this year women's day, all we could think about are Palestinian women in Gaza.

On This Year Women's Day, All We Could Think About Are Palestinian Women In Gaza.

Nearly 9,000 women have been killed in Israeli attacks in five months. Another 2,100 are missing and presumed dead, while 23,000 have been wounded and over half a million are displaced.

“Palestinian women, especially in the Gaza Strip, are exposed to the worst humanitarian catastrophe,” Ashraf al-Qudra, the health ministry’s spokesperson, said on Thursday.

Dozens of women and girls have also been detained and face harsh conditions in Israeli custody, including sexual abuse.

Women in Gaza also struggle to find menstruation products and access the necessary pregnancy and post-natal care. The consequences on reproductive health, including a rise in stress-induced miscarriages, stillbirths and premature births, have increased significantly.

Women in labour are undergoing caesarean procedures without anaesthetics, and a shortage of post-operative care such as medication, antibiotics and pain relief further exacerbates the situation.

According to the health ministry, 5,000 women give birth monthly in Gaza under “harsh, unsafe and unhealthy” conditions caused by Israeli bombing and displacement.

There are 60,000 pregnant women in Gaza suffering from “malnutrition, dehydration and lack of medical care.

There have also been repeated cases of Israeli soldiers mocking Palestinian women by posting videos and pictures of themselves rummaging through personal belongings in Gaza homes, making derogatory comments and posing with women’s underwear.

The love of my life

Right Here, Right Now

Right Here, Right Now

U is for Uncle

A big change is coming to you and Sam. Hopefully he’s ready…

Pairing: Samuel Drake x Female Reader

Warnings: This is just some much needed fluff.

The cold tile of the bathroom floor is the only sensation keeping you grounded, letting you know you’re still alive and breathing. Shock paralyzes you, rendering you glued to the floor with your back pressed against the cabinet of the sink. In your hand is your future, and you don’t know what to do.

“Babe!” Sam calls from the other side of the bathroom door, obviously concerned that you’ve been in there for ten minutes now. “Are you okay? You’ve been in there forever… If you’re sick, we can cancel. Nate and Elena will understand.”

His voice holds concern, and you know that you should answer him before he decides to break down the door. But you can’t. You literally can’t think. Every part of you is frozen as your eyes bore into the stupid fucking stick in your hand. The stupid fucking stick with two pink lines glaring right at you.

“Baby, you’re really starting to freak me out,” he laughs, but you can hear the tension behind it. He’s worried about you. “Hey, please answer me. You’re alive, right?”

Your mouth falls open, but all that manages to come out is a raspy squeak. Sam’s knocking furiously at the door, and you close your eyes, squeezing the pregnancy test tightly in your palm. You feel your nails digging at your skin, another reminder that this is real. You are really here. You are pregnant.

“Honey,” Sam laments as he jiggles the handle on the door. “Please, come out.”

You take one last look at the test before wrapping it in tissue and throwing it into the trash can. Fuck that. With all your strength, you manage to get up on your feet, wash your hands, and look at yourself in the mirror. Your face has paled some, and your eyes look dead and cold. Sam’s going to know something is seriously wrong if you don’t attempt to freshen up.

“I’m okay!” You finally say as you swallow the lump in your throat. You have cried enough for now. “Sorry, just… I wasn’t feeling all that well. I’m better now,” you lie, turning off the sink. You pinch your cheeks to bring some color back to them and rub at your eyes so they have a little life in them. After taking a few deep breaths, you feel it’s safe to open the door.

Sam takes a few steps back when the door opens, and you come out, eyes barely glancing at him. He offers a smile, curiosity still eating him alive, but he doesn’t want to push you. Instead, Sam reaches a hand out, gently cupping your face and tilting your chin up. He forces eye contact, and your stomach fills with butterflies.

“Everything good?” He whispers to which you nod, nuzzling your nose against his palm. He makes a small noise of approval and pulls you into him, hugging you tightly. Resting his chin on your head, he rubs your back in comforting circles. “Do you want to stay home?” He asks you without stopping his motions.

“No,” you shake your head, putting on a smile. “I’ve been waiting to see Elena and…Cassie.” Your stomach flips at the mention of Sam’s niece. She’s a wonderful kid, and you love her to pieces. You know Sam does as well. But that doesn’t mean either of you is ready for one of your own.

He can tell that something’s not quite right with you. But he knows better than to prod anymore. You’ll tell him when you’re comfortable. As long as it’s not life-threatening, as long as you aren’t in any danger, he’ll be patient. He’ll always be patient when it comes to you.

“Okay,” he decides to accept your lies, giving your hands a comforting squeeze before letting them go. “Why don’t you finish up here and I’ll get the car started? Do you want me to grab Cassie’s present?”

“I got it,” you say softly as you follow him out of your bedroom. “I just need some water and I’ll be good to go.” You grab the neatly wrapped gift from the countertop, tucking it safely under your arm as you head to the sink to grab some water.

The cool liquid feels refreshing as you sip it down, rehydrating yourself from all the crying and, well, vomiting. Fuck, how could this have happened? You and Sam are always careful, right? Maybe not always. There was that time after he got back from a trip with Sully. Neither of you could wait. So you jumped his bones in the car.

The more you think about it, the timing adds up. God damn your hormones. God damn Sam for being so addicting. Whenever you’re far away from him for too long, it’s like you go through withdrawals, and you’ll do anything to get your next fix. Even fucking him as soon as he gets off the damn plan.

As you set the glass down, you chance looking over at him. You love him so much. And you’ve talked about your future together. You know he wants to be with you forever. He’s told you numerous times. But you’ve never talked about kids.

You see the way he is with Cassie, and it warms your heart. He adores that little girl, and he’s so good with her. But it’s different when they’re not your own. He doesn’t have to provide for Cassie, take care of her, or raise her. They can have their fun uncle/niece time where he talks about his time in prison and takes her on small adventures with Sully. And at the end of the day, he can send her home to her parents and come back to your empty, childless apartment.

But Sam isn’t the only one in this relationship. Your feelings matter, too. This is a huge decision for both of you. And as you look at him, you wonder if this will be the end of you and him.

“Hey,” he calls out, bringing you back to Earth once more. “Are you sure everything is alright?”

“Yes,” you say quickly, masking your nerves with a smile. “Let’s go. We’re already late!”

Rather than ask again, Sam nods and exits the apartment, you following after him. As he locks the door, you bite your lip and think about all the adjustments you’d have to make. Would you move into a house? Would you stay in this apartment? Will you even be together? Will you even have this kid?

Right Here, Right Now

“Oh, no way!” Cassie yells as she unwraps the gift you and Sam picked up for her on your latest travels. It’s a hardcover all-weather journal with sewn-in pages and a set of all-weather pens. The cover is decorated in ocean blue and a toucan engraved in the corner with a personalized inscription on the first page. You and Sam were in the Amazon on an excavation when you were told about a local shop that creates custom-made journals and notebooks. Sam knew Cassie took after Nathan and loved to document everything she could while on an escapade. He thought it would be perfect for her.

“You like it?” Sam asks with excitement. “This one picked the color,” he says, looking at you.

“It’s perfect!” Cassie exclaims and jumps up to hug Sam and then you.

With your hormones out of whack, you nearly cry at her embrace. Her arms enclose around you with such love and warmth, you can only imagine if you had a daughter. A daughter who was like you, strong and resilient, but with a secret soft side.

Sam watches you two with a smile, and then you think, what if you had a son? A son who took after his father. A son who was so annoying and so stubborn, but so full of love and compassion.

What if you had a child who was the perfect combination of Sam and you? Would you want that? Would Sam?

“I, uh,” you clear your throat and remove Cassie’s arms from around you, regretfully. She doesn’t mind, running back to pick up her journal to show her parents. Sam gives you a questionable look, but you brush him off. “Let’s go see if they need help,” you say flatly.

Before Sam can stop you, you’re out of sight, heading towards the back door to check on Elena and Nate. His heart sinks a little, worried that you have something on your mind that you’re not sharing with him. You’re never like this. You and he talk about everything. You don’t have secrets.

It bothers him deeply, but now is not the time or place to have a discussion about your silence. So he follows you outside, smiling as Elena walks over to you, taking his spot next to Nathan. He grabs a beer and cracks it open, leaning against the railing of the porch.

He quickly downs half of the bottle causing Nathan to cock his head in amusement. “What the hell is on your mind?” Nathan asks, hiding his laughter.

Sam wipes his mouth with the back of his hand, his eyes never leaving you. You look sad, scared even, and he hates it. He hates not knowing what’s going on in that pretty head of yours.

“Just thinkin’,” Sam says before taking another swig. “It’s good to see Cassie,” he states with a nod at the girl who is already writing something down in her journal. “She’s getting big.”

“Yeah,” Nathan grins with pride. “She’s so smart, Sam. She amazes me every single day. Like, I can’t believe I’m a dad. I can’t believe that’s my kid, you know? I mean, she and Elena always gang up on me, but I wouldn't have it any other way."

Sam grins listening to Nathan gush about his family. To be honest, Sam always thought about having kids, but it was a distant reflection, one tucked in the very back corners of his mind. It wasn’t until Nathan and Elena settled down that it became more prevalent. And then he met you. And he knew from the moment he first kissed you that he loved you and he wanted to spend forever with you.

But kids… That was such a sensitive topic, especially in the line of work both of you are in. Perhaps it’s something you should have discussed before getting serious.

“I’m proud of you Nathan,” Sam says, clinking his bottle against his brother’s. “You’ve grown to be quite the impressive man,” he adds. “Though, I’m still the hotter brother.”

Nathan laughs, shaking his head. “Yeah, keep telling yourself that.” He looks at you and then back at Sam. “I know you’re still growing up,” he says, earning a smack to the back of the head from his brother. “Hey, ouch,” Nathan grunts. “I’m just saying! You lost a lot of time and I know you’re still catching up, but you’re not doing so bad for yourself. I guess I’m proud of you, too.”

Sam smirks, accepting the compliment. Why would he reject such nice sentiments? He’s not stupid.

“So, what’s next for you two?” Nathan quizzes, curious to hear about your next expedition. “Big plans with Sully? I hear he’s looking for a big score overseas. I’m sure you guys will tag along, right? You’re still chasing those risky enterprises, aren’t you?”

“Hmm,” Sam hums, trying to process his brother’s words, but he can’t keep his eyes off you. The smile is back on your face, and every once in a while, you glance over at him, a twinkle in your eye. God, you’re so beautiful. And he’s so relieved to see you somewhat back to normal. Whatever you and Elena talked about must’ve really helped.

“Hey!” Nathan nudges his brother. “Are you even listening to me?”

“What?” Sam asks though he’s hardly invested in the conversation. He’s too busy watching you and Cassie bond. Something about the scene sends his heart into overdrive. Suddenly visions of you and him traveling the world blur into visions of a family, something like what Nathan and Elena have.

He shakes his head, sending those thoughts away. Ignoring Nathan, he walks to where you sit at the picnic table. Cassie went to play with the dog, and Elena went inside to grab drinks. So he finally gets you alone.

“Hey, baby,” he murmurs, slinging an arm around your shoulder. “You look like you’re feeling better?”

You nod and lean into him. “I am. Much better. Thank you. And I’m sorry if I scared you,” you frown, snuggling against him. “I didn’t mean to.”

“Don’t worry about it, princess,” he says. “I’m just glad you’re okay.” He kisses the top of your head and lets his eyes drift to Cassie once more. His heart lurches in his chest as a thought crosses his mind. This probably isn’t the best time to bring something like this up, but he has to say it, get it out, and know your thoughts.

“Sam?” You whisper, noticing the change in his posture.

“I want one,” Sam blurts out.

You blink a few times, wondering if you missed a piece of the conversation somehow. “What?”

“Cassie,” he says, exhaling deeply. “I want one.”

Okay, you think. Best not to jump to conclusions. Sam could mean anything by saying that. Caught off guard, you shift in your seat and think over your next words carefully. “Like, you want to kidnap your niece or --”

“A kid,” he finishes for you. “I want a kid.”

Eyes widening, you can feel your heart race. He’s joking, right? He has to be. Life just doesn’t work out this way! Does it?

“Are you serious?” You ask in a whisper, hands shaking as you grab the fabric of your dress.

He nods, turning to look at you, worried by the glassiness of your eyes. “Y-yeah,” he stutters. Oh, no. Did he fuck this up? “I-I want one. With you.”

Tears begin to fall from your eyes, and Sam panics, thinking he said the wrong thing. His face falls as he grabs your cheeks in his hands. You shake your head, smiling through your cries to let Sam know he didn’t do anything wrong. The fear fades from his eyes, but he looks confused, dying to know what’s going on in your head.

“Well, babe,” you sniffle. “I have some news for you.”

12 and 90 from youre eddie prompt list? :)

12 And 90 From Youre Eddie Prompt List? :)

i hope this is good! thanks for the request!

"Alright," Eddie said, sitting himself down heavily next to you. "Friday night; the movies are showing Chopping Mall, it's supposed to be wicked."

"Um, no," you replied quickly, staring down at your unfinished homework.

Eddie scoffed, and he looked at Dustin with a 'what's-up-with-her' expression, like you were an in-joke between them. "Alright," he said, leaning back and crossing his arms. "Why not?"

You tried to articulate your feelings fully before speaking. You and Eddie had been dancing around the idea of dating for a few months, ever since having shared a kiss on a drunken night after DnD, endlessly flirting and acting like a couple without the commitment, but the idea of getting tied down to someone just before leaving for college kept you from fully committing. You rejected him every time he tried to ask you on a proper date, and you could tell that he was getting tired of the chase, as much as you hated the thought that he would move on. "I just don't wanna date you," you told him. "I'm happy with things the way they are."

"Bullshit you are," Eddie chuckled. "What the hell do I have to do to get you to go out with me? Just one date, princess."

"Nothing, because it's not gonna happen," you said simply.

"One kiss?" Eddie offered. "One kiss, here and now."

"No!" you chuckled. You wanted to act as if Eddie was annoying you, but you knew that he could see through your fake annoyance.

"If I ask you to kiss me in front of all these people, will you do it?" Eddie asked, and you rolled your eyes.

"You don't have the balls," you told him, narrowing your eyes jokingly. You fully knew that Eddie did in fact have the balls to do a very public declaration of love— he had done a speech to the lunchroom for less than this— but you didn't think he would actually do it.

He instantly proved you wrong. He stood up, shoving himself away from his chair, and he jumped up onto the table nimbly. "I'll do it!" he announced, and the tables closest to you turned first. "Don't think I won't!"

"Jesus, Eddie!" you hissed, and you moved to smack his leg. "Get down from there!"

"One kiss!" Eddie said loudly, extending his hand out to you. "If you, fair princess, give me one kiss, here and now, I'll never bother you about it again!"

"Shut the hell up, Munson!" someone on the other end of the lunchroom called, and someone else added, "If you weren't a freak, she'd say yes!"

"What d'ya say, princess?" Eddie asked, casting his big eyes down at you.

You sighed. "Why do you want this so bad?" you asked him, and Eddie jumped down from the table and sat back next to you, turning his chair around so he could rest his chin on the back of it.

"I just really like you," Eddie said, and his hand reached forward and gently took yours. "And I've never felt this way before about anyone. I... I think I love you, and that terrifies me, because you're about to move off to college and I'm gonna be in Hawkins for the rest of my life... It scares me to love you."

You looked at him for a few quiet moments, seeing the quiet contemplation in his chocolate-colored eyes, and you pulled him forward by his hand. You laid a quick kiss on his lips, just long enough for him to stiffen in shock, and, when you pulled away, his eyes had widened. "Chopping Mall on Friday, right?" you asked.

"Yeah," Eddie mumbled. "Holy shit. Yeah."

Beautiful

Soft as Clouds

Neteyam x F!Reader

Summary: You weren't well known in the clan, and when you become friends with Tuk, no one believes her.

Warning: Straight up Flufff

Soft As Clouds

When you were growing up, you found yourself wanting to linger in the background more than insert yourself into the everyday activities of those your age. Like now, you were currently lounging in a tree, eyes facing up at the clouds as they moved by at their own pace.

You were a gatherer for the clan, not that anyone knew. You would rise before the sun to go out and gather the sweetest, most bountiful food your clan had ever tasted, leaving it in the baskets by the main fire circle. The fruits were always plump and juicy, herbs and spices nicely placed in pouches for easy access.

You wanted to begin early to end early, opting to stay out of sight of others. Now, some knew of you, the elders for example always took a small notice on how you were much more reserved than others your age. Your parents of course knew you, but you were a failure of a child in their eyes. At your age you should've been chosen for a mate, or made a mark on the clan in some positive way, but you didn't, so they turned their attention to your more 'promising' younger siblings.

You never cared, preferring your more modest lifestyle of peaceful serenity.

"Whoa! What are you doing up there?"

But Great Mother had other plans for you.

You gazed over the side of the branch you were currently laying on, brushing your hair that had fallen into your eyes away, spotting a young girl in the forest floor below you.

This was not just any girl, oh no, this was Tuktirey, Toruk Maktos youngest child.

You let a small smile slip on your face as you slowly began a decent, swift and agile, like that of a cat.

You knelt infront of her, your eyes meeting hers that were still so full of child like wonder, "what are you doing here small one?" Tuk giggled, looking side to side as if looking for something, or someone.

"I was following my brothers, but I guess I got lost," Extending a hand to Tuk, "Well, let us get you home then," her small fingers wrapped around yours and you both began your walk, going back down the path you had made from the times you ventured out here.

Tuk couldn't help but wonder why she had never seen you before, yet she thought you were very beautiful. The aura that surrounded you was so soft and peaceful, it made her feel instantly safe.

"Why do you come out here, it's very far from home? Are you a hunter or a gatherer? Your hair is very pretty, can you do mine like that? Wait! What's your name?" Tuk rambled out, skipping beside you. A chuckle escaped your lips, you liked Tuk, she was very silly.

You stopped and knelt down beside her, her yellow eyes stared into your soft green eyes and she couldn't help but think you held the forest in your eyes, "My name is (Y/n), I much prefer to gather, and I think your hair is fine just the way it is, simply because it's yours,"

You couldn't help but boop her nose, her nose scrunched as she let out a laugh. You smiled, "now, what is your name?" Tuk felt like you already knew, but she puffed out her chest proud, "My name is Tuktirey, but you can call me Tuk!"

"Such a pretty name," you gasped, standing up and resuming your walk to the village. Tuk swung your intertwined hands back and forth, both of you finding comfort in eachother.

When you had finally happened upon the village, you could hear everyone in a state of panic. Tuk groaned, her ears pinned back, "I think they realized I was gone," you knelt beside her, both of you hidden just out of sight with the plants, "then maybe you should appear,"

Tuk hugged you, you wrapped your arms around her to return the embrace. "Will I see you again?" She asked, pulling away enough to see your face.

"Of course, I quite like you," you smiled, slowly giving her a nudge to the panicked clan members.

When Tuk had emerged out of the brush, the panicked cries turned into one's of relief and joy. Many ran over to embrace her, but by this point you had already vanished without a trace.

"Tuk! Where were you, we were worried sick!" Jake exclaimed, sweeping his youngest into his arms and giving her a extra tight hug. "I tried to follow Neteyam and Lo'ak but I got lost, but it's okay!" Tuk laughed, "I found (Y/n) and she helped me get home!"

Jake and Neytiri exchanged a look, as did some of the other clan members. Your name was no familiar, almost positive there was no one in the village who has that name.

"Tuk, what are you talking about?" Neytiri wondered, taking her child from her mate and settling her on the ground in front of her, "There is no one named (Y/n) in the village," Neytiri began to examine Tuk for a head injury, but Tuk pulled her head away in annoyance, "I know what happened, (Y/n) helped me, she's right,"

But when Tuk turned around to where you had been, you were gone, "she was right here," Tuk cried, but her parents chalked it up to fatigue from being lost all day.

"Come, you must eat and rest," Neytiri pulled Tuk along by the hand, which Tuk did almost sulkly, glancing back one more time to see you emerge and give her a wink before disappearing behind everyone's backs. Tuk grinned, now happily walking with her Mom.

~.~

Weeks had passed and Tuk now snuck off any chance she had to find you, sometimes waking up early to join you on your gathering. You were like another big sister to her, you were so soft and gentle with her, it almost reminded her of her own mother. You would show her the best places to gather fruit and herbs, show her how to move silently through the forest so not to disturb it.

In return, Tuk gave you simple companionship. You always thought it was fun being alone, but Tuk gave you a shining light of what having someone around could be like.

When Tuk would return from wherever you two had disappeared to, she would tell her family all about it, now causing Jake and Neytiri to worry that she was making up stories to make herself feel important like her siblings.

"Ma Jake, I'm beginning to worry about Tuk," Neytiri spoke one day when she watched her youngest venture off into the brush before she could stop her, "it is not safe out there but yet she continues to go, we must stop her," Jake could only hum in agreement.

"What's the name of the person she speaks of? (Y/n)? Are we sure she's not a person in the clan?" Jake questioned, Neytiri feeling her shoulders sag in exhaustion cause she had asked any gatherer, hunter or healer she could think of and no one knew about you.

"Maybe we should send Neteyam with her one day? Make sure she's really safe? See what he can find out?" Neytiri fired off question after question, Jake taking her hands into his as he calmed her down, "That's sounds like a great idea, if there's anyone who can find out it's him, come, let's find him,"

They both set off to find their eldest, who they were sure was going to throw a fit hearing about their plan.

~.~

Tuk panted, running up to a clearing where she saw you relaxing by a small pond, toes and feet floating in the clear water. "I'm here! What are we going to do today?" Tuk skipped over, taking a seat next to you as your turned your gaze to her, a smile coating your face.

"What would you like to do?" You asked, Tuks face scrunched up in thought before asking you, "Could we go for a swim next to the waterfall?" You thought about it, before nodding. It was very close to the village, but you were looking forward to spending time with Tuk.

"Awesome!" She cheered, pulling you up off the ground and began the walk, with you giggling behind her.

The water had been very liberating of any stress or thoughts that plagued you. You sighed in bliss, leaning back to float in the water as your eyes gazed up at the clouds, the soft white making you forget everything.

Tuk had jumped in, splashing you and causing a laugh to erupt from your stomach as you flipped over, watching the young girl giggle and continue to splash you with water.

You began a water assault back, both of you not even paying attention to how loud you were being which caught the attention of Neteyam nearby who had been searching for Tuk under the instructions of their parents.

"Tuk!" He called, walking into the rocky terrain that held the waterfall where he saw Tuk soaked and wading waist deep in the water, her breath heavy as though she ran for miles, yet a smile plastered her lips.

You were no where to be seen, ducking under the water to find a rock that had caught your eye.

"Tuk, it's time to come home, let's go," he helped her out of the water, not noticing you surface up to your shoulders in the shade of a tree that grew on the nearby bank.

Your hair had rested on your face a little and your shoulders, the shade making your eyes almost glow as you analyzed Neteyam. He was your age, currently training to be the next clan leader and yet here he was, fetching his sister.

Tuk through a glance over her shoulder to see you in the shade, throwing up a quick wave goodbye and taking off in front of her brother.

Neteyam had caught her look and couldn't help but turn back, catching a quick sight of you.

A beautiful, young woman who was lounging in the water covered by shade. Your eyes are what caught his attention the most, but just as quick as he'd seen you, the next second he blinked in shock before opening them to find you gone, the water only rippling from where he saw you, well, where he thought he saw you.

Neteyam was now becoming a quick believer of Tuk's stories.

~.~

Now that Neteyam had caught a glimpse of you, he started to see you everywhere. Although, it was out of the corner of his eyes, because when he would turn to see you, your figure was gone, the place he had seen you now empty or void of anyone or anything.

He had told his parents that he didn't see anyone with Tuk, but that was only because he feared how crazy he would sound. Seeing someone who wasn't entirely there and then them being gone the next second. They'd send him straight to the Sky People for evaluation.

Neteyam had followed Tuk out of the hut one late afternoon, Tuk turning to him confused since he has never followed her before, "What are you doing?" Neteyam just smiled, playing an act to follow his parents instructions, "Well, I've missed hanging out with my favorite littlest sister," he roughed up Tuks hair, causing her to hiss and push his hand away, "so I figured we could spend the rest of the day together,"

Tuk glanced sideways towards the path, a bit unsure about how you'd reac to Neteyam coming along, "I don't know, you probably wouldn't be up for it," Neteyam raised an eyebrow, his thoughts consumed on what a child would be doing that he himself couldn't or wouldn't wanna do, especially so late in the afternoon.

"Well, if you're sure," Tuk grinned, taking off down the path faster than Neteyam had expected, "Tuk! Wait for me!"

~.~

You had been lounging in a tree again, this time basking in the setting sun's glow. You felt so warm, the lights rays bringing a sense of belonging to your being.

"(Y/n)!" Tuk exclaimed, running into sight as you glanced down at her, your lips showing your usual soft smile that you saved for her.

"Neteyam is following me, come on let's hurry!" Tuk tried to rush you, but you only laughed, "Why are we hiding from your brother?" Tuk felt her cheeks puff up in annoyance, "Come on (Y/n)! I don't want him to find you!" It wasn't often Tuk would throw a childish fit with you, so you knew this must be important to her.

You quickly climbed down, taking her hand and pulling her out of sight just in time for Neteyam to come around the corner. He stopped and took a quick look around, running a hand through his braids aggravated. "Come on Tuk! Mom and Dad don't want you out here by yourself,"

Neteyam continued on through, running right past where you two hid in a flower bush before emerging a minute after he disappeared.

Tuk laughed but quickly stopped when she saw your disappointed face, "I'm sorry," she mumbled, kicking the dirt with her ears pinned down.

"Let's walk and talk," you took her by the shoulder softly, "Is there a reason you keep running away from your family? I understand you want to be friends, but surely I'm not worth worrying your family over?"

You led her down a path as Eclipse began to set in, the forest coming to life with lights and sounds. "Well, I thought you might want to be kept alone, like how you were before we became friends," Tuk answered, but you knew better, "but?" You pushed, Tuk groaning before replying.

"Well, Neteyam has his hunting parties and future clan leader responsibilities, Kiri has healing and grandma, Lo'ak and Spuder go on treks through the forest, I just wanted something that was mine for a while," while a bit childish, you could see what she meant. It was nice to have something all your own, even if it wasn't necessarily yours to keep or own.

Tuk kept her eyes trained on the ground in front of her, hands rubbing together embarrassed. Tuk thought that you would be upset with her, but she was shocked when she felt your hand rub soothing circles on her back as you continued to walk together.

"Do not feel bad, sometimes we wish for things that cannot always be, but if it makes you feel better, you will always be my first and best friend," Tuk felt giddy knowing that you felt the same as she did. You truly were a big sister to her.

"I think it's time we returned for the night," you told her, Tuk nodded, feeling a little tired. "Come," you picked her up, her arms wrapped around your neck and head rested on her shoulder.

You smelled of flowers and mist, a calming scent that soon had Tuk drift off to sleep. Which means she couldn't return to her parents on her own, meaning you had to face the leaders of the clan.

Entering the village, you took notice that many had already gone to dinner, leaving a clear path straight to the leaders tent, where you could hear inside Jake Sully, the Olo'eyktan and Neytri, his mate and Tuks mother frantically asking Neteyam where Tuk was.

You held Tuk up with one arm, softly clearing your throat to make your presence known as you lift the drape, all three coming to a freeze as they saw you, a stranger, with Tuk fast asleep in your arms.

You dipped your head in greeting, eyes over looking the two males and straight to the female who quickly walked to you with fear and concern for her baby. "She is alright, just sleeping," you whispered, not wanting to wake up Tuk as Neytiri gently slipped her from you.

Neytiri nodded a head in thanks, though her eyes held confusion. Your eyes slipped over Jake Sullys form, a small gesture of hello from another head nod before you allowed your eyes to stay trained on Neteyams shocked yellow.

'She is real,' is all Neteyam could think as you both played a stare game, you breaking it off with a soft smile before disappearing. He found the sudden ability to move, dashing to the drape only to pull it back and find you gone, like a phantom.

"I think, that's (Y/n)" Jake mumbled, his mind wracking to find any sense of familiarity of you, but found none. Neytiri felt a small rumble from Tuk, glancing down at the small girl to find her awake and giggling softly, "Told you she was real,"

~.~

Neteyam couldn't get you out of his head, now actively looking for you, but you weren't anywhere to be found. Tuk had told him all about you, and this time he listened, but she wouldn't tell him where you go.

"(Y/n) doesn't like to be sought after, you can only find her when she wants you to find her," Tuk laughed like it was the most simplest thing in the world, but it just made Neteyam frustrated.

He knew so little about you but felt a strange need to be near you, hear your soft voice again and find out more. Call it a crush, infatuation or even obsession, he just wanted to see you again, even if for a last time.

It was only when he took a stroll through the brush on a warm afternoon, that he found you. Only you were laying patch off soft moss, eye shut as you looked at piece with the world.

The world itself seemed to be happening around you, each breath you took was like a breeze from Eywa herself. Insects and small animals passed you by, as if you were just one with them.

Neteyam had approached you slowly, footsteps light as he observed your face. It was beautiful in his eyes, your soft lashes caressing your cheeks, lips parted ever so slightly with each breath you took in. Your hair seemed to flow around you in the vast green foliage.

He was too lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice you open your eyes and look back at him. Your green eyes traced his features as well, taking in the rough yet handsome face he was gifted with. He truly was his mother's child.

When he saw your green eyes staring back at him, he fell back from his squat in shock. You softly hummed, a smile so small but just for him.

"What are you looking at?" He coughed, his face feeling warm from your stare.

You sat up slowly, his eyes glancing at how your body was bending, hair falling over your cheeks to frame your face.

Eywa help his sinful thoughts.

"Oh you know," you drawled, "The clouds,"
