WE'RE BACK! My blog has been restored to full function πππ
Me, reading my fic drafts: Damn this is pretty good, when's the author gonna finish it?
rewatching the inuyasha series as an adult is so funny because. kagome higurashi does not get nearly enough credit for how strong-willed she was at the tender age of 18. she gave up her life in the modern era, easy access to good medical care, food, running water, electricity, and pretty much every other comfort that she'd known and been accustomed to all her life, and did it cheerfully. meanwhile if the roles were reversed and you stuck inuyasha in a modern office job, trying to send (1) polite email would have killed him on the spot.

I am obsessed with the fact that the Veilguard all gathers round to watch Solas's saddest memories and then dissects them like it's an episode of Desperate Housewives. 10/10 no notes, exactly what he deserves.
Sherlock Holmes having a universal ace experience -- expressing disinterest and immediately getting called an inhuman robot.
The cast of the Original Trilogy had cliched, boring character concepts that were executed wonderfully enough for it not to matter.Β
Β The cast of the Prequel Trilogy had interesting concepts that were executed poorly enough to make them seem utterly stupid.Β
The cast of the Sequel Trilogy had amazing, thought-provoking concepts that were executed in the town square and put up on pikes as a warning to others.
Today I am 42 -- officially the answer to life, the universe, and everything -- and I get to share this birthday with the release of CRITICAL ROLE: STORIES UNTOLD. Getting asked to contribute to this anthology has been a real career highlight and many many thanks to @criticalrole and Random House Worlds for the opportunity. If you're an audiobook person, the CR cast is narrating this anthology, so you know it'll be an incredible experience.
Happy release day to my fellow contributors. And to the Critical Role fandom, I hope you enjoy! π https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/760753/critical-role-vox-machina--stories-untold-by-critical-role-aabria-iyengar-rory-power-sarah-glenn-marsh-and-more-foreword-by-liam-obrien/
Got tagged by @beccacoffindaffer for this and it sounded like fun! Here's the last lines from each of the three stories I'm working on:
Magma slopped out from the gaping hole and dribbled down the stairs, creating a deadly pool right below their feet.
βAs I suspected. You are a delectable creature.β
She wasnβt watching the sun rise for peace this morning. She was waiting to see if she burned.

I'm writing chapters for the fourth Inuyasha movie, and I know I've got a lot of content to get through. I know each time I hit that 'enter' button, it's another chunk of space on a page lost, and that I'm already 7 pages in after only 15 minutes of the movie.
But godsdammit, I'm stuck with my oc and Inuyasha talking about dry sandwiches, and I don't know how to make the conversation stop.
