Sometimes the best thing you can do for your mental health is to imagine that you're a little mouse in a children's book series who lives in a hollow tree, and spend time planning out how your home would look, and where you'd put the larder where you keep all your jars of homemade blackberry jam, and what kind of cake you'd make to bring to the party that Mr Vole is throwing on Sunday.

I decided to create my blog so that I could connect to the communities I write for, share and appreciate art, and maybe throw out my thoughts from time to time. Unfortunately, while I write a lot, I tend to only focus on one story at a time. I really try not to start works I won't finish. I'm looking forward to posting more in the future, but I find it overwhelming to try and juggle posting multiple stories at once.

Me emerging from the depths: what day is it?

You cannot tell me that Mythal wasn't being set up from ORIGINS to be the final enemy if they'd gotten to make all 5 games, the real puppetmaster all along, and I am so upset that we didn’t get that because she was well on her way to becoming a fantastic villain

The problem with liking Mythal as a character is...

On one hand you have the fandom hating her because she's a woman and Solas loved her, which some people for some reason thinks this somehow detracts from his capability of loving Lavellan???

On the other hand you have BioWare straight up forgetting that she was in fact a terrible person too. One minute they say the vallaslin were all slave markings, therefore meaning Mythal had slaves? Next minute you have Solas saying "she was the best of them" and then all of Veilguard acting like she was some benevolent poor woman caught in the middle of everything and not an active participant?

But alas if you really think about Mythal, she becomes incredibly interesting if you like complex female characters, which I am fully convinced is an accident on BioWare's part lmao...
