really hilarious and unsexy when hetero romantasy authors refer to love interests as males and females. you sound like david attenborough narrating a special documentary on two turtles humping in the mud
not to sound like a medieval peasant but, cheese and bread. garlic and butter. a menagerie of spices. potatoes. that’s what life is all about right there.
You cannot tell me that Mythal wasn't being set up from ORIGINS to be the final enemy if they'd gotten to make all 5 games, the real puppetmaster all along, and I am so upset that we didn’t get that because she was well on her way to becoming a fantastic villain
The problem with liking Mythal as a character is...
On one hand you have the fandom hating her because she's a woman and Solas loved her, which some people for some reason thinks this somehow detracts from his capability of loving Lavellan???
On the other hand you have BioWare straight up forgetting that she was in fact a terrible person too. One minute they say the vallaslin were all slave markings, therefore meaning Mythal had slaves? Next minute you have Solas saying "she was the best of them" and then all of Veilguard acting like she was some benevolent poor woman caught in the middle of everything and not an active participant?
But alas if you really think about Mythal, she becomes incredibly interesting if you like complex female characters, which I am fully convinced is an accident on BioWare's part lmao...
Anyway I support women's wrongs, so
there's many references in this old piece (and by many i mean like four)

i appreciate that i saw both of these on my dash within about five posts of each other. we’re gonna need both moods going forward, tbh.
Mike Laidlaw: "Look, I'm not a fancy CEO guy, but if someone said to me "the key to this successful single-player IP's success is to make it purely a multiplayer game. No, not a spin off: fundamentally change the DNA of what people loved about the core game" to me, I'd probably, like, quit that job or something. Just thinking out loud, of course. Who'd be silly enough to demand something like that? ...twice." [source thread]
Tag your oc/dnd character(s) that gives off this energy
"You're losing blood" no I know exactly where it is. The floor. Don't ever underestimate me.
i love that Neve canonically throws hands. like she’s a literal mage there’s no reason for her to be doing all that but she will get right up close and physically fight enemies in this game. woman of the year
The cast of the Original Trilogy had cliched, boring character concepts that were executed wonderfully enough for it not to matter.
The cast of the Prequel Trilogy had interesting concepts that were executed poorly enough to make them seem utterly stupid.
The cast of the Sequel Trilogy had amazing, thought-provoking concepts that were executed in the town square and put up on pikes as a warning to others.
