hi sorry to bother but what have dan and phil been doing for the past like year do they still work together and stuff? I haven't really been involved with the phandom for a long while but I still follow them on social media and it seems like they're not together as often or smth and I was just curious

long story short, dnp took a bit of a break from joint content after their tour last year. dan was having a bit of a crisis about what he wanted his online persona to be and they both found that the gaming channel wasn’t really working for them anymore. throughout last year, phil made regular content, and they both posted fairly regularly on twitter and instagram (for a lovely year wrap up of dnp in 2019, check out @fondestphan ‘s new gif series here, its lovely).

in june 2019, both dan and phil came out as gay, and everything sort of started to make more sense. dan was mia cause he was working on this massive project, and joint content has become more rare partly because of the aforementioned gaming channel issue, and partly because (at least I think) they don’t want to be branded as Dan and Phil any more. they’re just dan and phil.

both dnp have talked about how theyre working a lot on individual projects outside of youtube. they still live together, they are still a couple (so surprise! if you didnt know that lol), they have a fish (his name is norman). they still work together on things (dan was in one of phil’s videos, they’re still doing fan stuff together, etc.) i think rn theyre still trying to figure out what it means to be out, and what that means for how they interact publically together. phil is making some hilarious solo content as well as some secret projects, and dan has also talked about some pitches and writing that he has been working on. they’re in eachother’s personal lives, and occasionally they let us see into that.

i do hope (and also believe) that joint content in some form will return, but idk what that will be yet. they have stated multiple times that they love working together, and they clearly work well together and people clearly like it. right now im just happy for them, and excited to see what comes next :)

tldr: they’re happy and in love and working on cool stuff even if we don’t see that cool stuff right now and even if that cool stuff isn’t together

A year with out uploading he comes back by giving so many people the god damn courage to exist. I’m so proud of Dan and I can’t count how many times I cried watching that video, thank you so much for everything you’ve done for us

earlier this year i did this thing where id go onto omegle under the interest ‘depressed’ and i helped people feel better after anxiety or depression and then i stopped doing it. so today i decided id go onto omegle and help people, ive been at it for four hours now
