Watching the original alien at work tonight this is the gc half way through
Imagine in the wof au dragonet!reader is the first to hatch of all the eggs and after getting a good look at everything around them, they crawl over to the nearest wiggling egg and just BONKS their skull against the eggshell to free their friend/sibling.
The adult watching the eggs is just like π¦ as they watch the second hatched dragonet get dragged out of their egg like they already owe reader money.
Then they hold the reader up away from the eggs when another adult bursts into the nursery demanding to know what's up
(I love wof fan and I love what you've done with the X-Men via this au)
Hahaha! YES! First, yay, a Wings of Fire fan! Second, yes, someone who asks about it! Let's call you... hmmm... Which dragon tribe is your favorite? Then we can call you that tribe Anon.
Newly hatched baby dragonet Reader, just bonking their head against their siblings/friends shells to help them hatch: ππ₯΄π―πΎπ₯
The adults watching them: π¨π±
Adults: snatch Reader back, only after they already opened an egg or two
Random adult entering the nursery: Hey, what'd I miss?
Random adult: sees dragon Logan or Victor holding Reader high up and like they're dangerous, dragon Storm or Mystique checking the remaining eggs, and dragon Xavier or Magneto face-palming in annoyed despair Ummm... I see now is not a good time promptly leaves
The moment they get tiny baby Reader away from the eggs and check gheif head, they're placing then in a little nest (for nap time or time out is up to you). It's especially funny if Reader is a bigwings, or is a powerful or royal sibling. Amd the adults are all just, trying to figure out how to raise these five, seven, or ten different dragon babies, with little to no clue on how to raise children. So expect a few learning curbs, panicked adults, and lots of parenting scrolls...
(Reader books their head head into a lot of things, such as the walls, the floor, the adults' legs, their siblings, their siblings' heads, the shelves, etc. . They just can't seem to stop hitting their head, that the adults start to worry about their sight and if Reader has a concussion-)
(Please ask any questions you have about this AU, Anon! I'd be happy to hear them!)
"we may be to full for shwarma after the qidreh and musakhan yeah, I'll also have some Rumman to drink" she said closing her menu. Dina was excited to see if this food really was like here family's home cooked food, It was definitely gonna be better than what she had been eating for the past 5 years.
for the longest time she would have begged just to eat something her mother had made, even if it was something she despised like falafel. 'I'm sure baba feels the same way about how his family' she thought carefully 'especially about his wife and daughter..." Dina knew of all this from overhearing Xavier and baba arguing during battle.
"baba... What was your family like?" She asked hesitantly "before adding with a more confident tone "I want to know as much about you as you know about my by the time the evening is over"

Magneto stands at the edge of the training grounds, his imposing figure casting a long shadow. The air hums with a quiet intensity as he watches Dina practice, his expression unreadable. With a deep breath, he steps forward, his cape billowing slightly in the breeze.
"Dina," he calls out, his voice firm yet gentle.
As she turns to face him, he approaches with measured steps, his eyes studying their face closely. "I am Magneto," he begins, his tone carrying the weight of his name. "I've come to speak with you about something of great importance."
He pauses, searching for the right words. "I know this may come as a shock, but I am your father. I have watched you from afar, knowing that one day this moment would come."
Magneto's gaze softens, a rare vulnerability showing through. "I understand if you have questions, or if you feel anger or confusion. But know that I am here now, and I want to be a part of your life, to help you understand your abilities and your heritage."
He extends a hand, a tentative yet hopeful gesture. "Will you allow me the chance to explain, to show you the truth of who we are?"
Dina hesitantly hugged her father back, then she squeezed him tight as though she were afraid that he'd disappear like a mental hallucination caused by a telepath.
"Shukran shukran shukran ya baba!" She said with her face smashed into her dad's chest
(Thank you thank you thank you father!)
Granted this isn't the first time she'd head words, she's heard similar speeches from sinister and Xavier. However when they spoke to her it always felt like they wanted her for their damn schemes. Her reality warping abilities are strong enough to rival legion and were strong enough to trap mad Jim jaspers in her own liitle dimension and destroy him.
'If magneto were to try and use this newfound relationship to use me I wouldn't mind doing the same.....NO this is my father even if he did I wouldn't...' she thought
Dina wants to stop being the aggressive vengeful person she currently is cause it hurts her more than it protects, the other teens really have softened her. Perhaps this relationship with her new dad could also help.

i don't understand the thing of doing modern aus for originally fantasy stories, like, why would i prefer to read about this guy being a high schooler or a frat boy when his original story includes dragons, magic, superpowers, aliens, etc?
Hello π
Please take a moment to read my story.
I am Heba Al-Dahdouh. I currently live in the completely destroyed city of Gaza. Since the war on Gaza began on 7/1/2024, my family- my father Nasif, my mother Asmaa, and my siblings Khaled, Ahmad, Muhammad, and Malak-have been living in constant fear, crying, and suffering due to shrapnel, shells, and bullets.
We have no food, no electricity, no cooking gas, no schools, no homes, no cleaning supplies, and no clothes. Our house was completely destroyed. My school has been bombed, and my brother Khaled's university is now rubble, depriving us all of education. The war has forced us to live in displacement centers, which are just tents unsuitable for living, especially in winter.
Every day we live death, terror, and panic a thousand times because of the ongoing bombardment of my city. The war has killed more than 50 of my relatives and neighbors. At the start of the war, we sought refuge at my aunt's house, but it too became rubble. Imagine: we have survived imminent death more than 20 times and have been displaced among shelters more than 13 times. My siblings and I have suffered from many illnesses due to malnutrition, and we need medication continuously.
If we stay in Gaza, we might lose our lives. Recently, we have been seriously considering leaving Gaza for a safe place. However, travel costs are extremely high. We need over $50,000 to leave Gaza. Due to exorbitant prices, rampant unemployment, lack of security, the ongoing siege, and relentless bombardment, we have lost all our money. How can we live in such insecurity, with constant shelling and shrapnel flying above us? Dear compassionate friends around the world,
With your generous donations, even if small, you can save 7 people from imminent death, allowing us to start a life outside Gaza filled with love, peace, and hope.
With my warmest regards from the city of Gaza,
Heba Al-Dahdouh.
