its actually SOOO tragic that there are so many things tagged Sonic & Tails and Sonadow, but I can't find what seems (to me) to be the natural longfic premise of

Sonic is a struggling young adult who picks up an abandoned Tails from the streets and is like 'well ig i'm a parent now' but he's working three or four jobs and he barely had it together Before Tails, and now he's gotta afford preschool??? and daycare??? He's a Mess, but he really needs to do right by this kid -- Tails has had enough people let him down already

Shadow is the neighbor/customer that has his shit together, graduated from college top of his class, and works for GUN which is really a cushy desk job. His only friends are his nosy coworker Rouge, and his pet cat Omega

shadow, as neighbor/customer, frequently runs into sonic, who always looks frazzled and exhausted, but is always kind to him, and they have a good banter with each other

and then yadda yadda yadda, inciting incident (tails gets lost/tails gets sick, shadow helps sonic and continues helping and hey this kid isn't half bad and his older brother's...ok), they fall in love, coparent Tails, move in together, GUYS CMON THE SINGLE DAD FIC PLOTLINE IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU

My mom was at the store and after paying, the cashier asked her whether she'd like to receive a gift toy for her child if she had one (you get them after spending a certain amount of money as a present for your purchase) and she said he'd looked so doubtful that she had a young kid that she replied yes to his question and took the toy of 'some blue critter driving a blue car' for me, her 31 year old adult daughter and only child.

second of all, I’m not sure if this has been asked before but what’s your opinion on Lansoni? (From sonic and the black knight) I mean it is technically a sonadow sub-genre but in my opinion it’s a completely different vibe. It’s one of my favorites and I wanted to know what you think!

Lansoni is very near and dear to my heart and I really hope to write a story for it one day, but it will be much further down the road and after I actually play the game HAHA gotta do some "research" (cough cough see Shadow in that damn knight outfit ROFL)
