my old man yoai trope is the one where Shadow (over the years) finds contentment with how he feels about Sonic, and Sonic is in denial that its even happening

other words, Shadow tries to subtly (not so subtly) make a move and Sonic friend-zones him in panic

i got two tropes i like about them!

1. the whole bit where sonic is conflicted asf bc why is he falling for his rival in a different font?? is his shadow actually a softie too??

2. not only was sonic dropped into the whole black knight dimension, so was shadow. lancelot’s missing (couldn’t come up with anything else maybe shadow actually killed him) and shadow took over his role. blah blah overall sonic rules camelot with shadow by his side to keep up the guise,,, love blossoms over time all that cheesy shit
