You’ve been at Nekoma High for approximately two weeks when Kuroo finds you sitting under the bleachers in the basketball team’s main gym, chocking on your sobs. Coincidentally, you’ve also been the manager of the boys’ volleyball team for about a week. 

Kuroo likes to think that even though your time at Nekoma has been short, he’s got you figured out. Keyword: likes to think. 

By some miracle, you’d ended up in his and Yaku’s class, sitting diagonally from him and to the left of Yaku. A stroke of luck; well, that’s how he sees it, anyway. 

He’d raced to get you involved with the volleyball team after he’d heard you mention to Yaku how you were fairly close to the volleyball team at your previous school. And he’d managed to get you to agree, though Yaku had almost slapped his soul out of his body because “She’s been here for two days, do you ever shut up about having a manager?”. But hey, you hadn’t minded.

i’m gonna , in my non professional opinion, go over 5 of the most “annoying” or worst yanderes to have based off my main fandoms rn. in no particular order

Overhaul: (My Hero Academia):

Kai is one of the most unique yanderes, solely based on the fact that he’s obsessed with health and values cleanliness. He wouldn’t accept anything less than what he expects from you, and it can be very irritating at times since Kai doesn’t believe in compromising his ideals.

Forces his lifestyle onto you, not caring in the slightest what your feelings on the matter are. He wants you to eat healthy, get enough sleep, take nasty tasting vitamins, get very regular checkups, and is just an overall pest about it. He can control his emotions around you but there’s a sense of irritation when you put up a fight on any of these fronts.

Kai is also thorough in everything he does, you’re no exception. There’s basically no chance that you ever get to escape or bend the rules. He’ll find out and deal with it accordingly, but the opportunity will never present itself to do these things most of the time. 

Illumi (Hunter x Hunter):

Illumi is a nightmare as a yandere. It’s a whole package as well, since his awful family comes with the Illumi yandere package™. Illumi would not ever amuse any of your thoughts and opinions on things, or if he did, it would only be so he could sate your feelings. It’s condescending and annoying, even if he doesn’t mean it that way.

He thinks there’s not a single thing wrong with what he’s doing, there’s no moral awareness whatsoever to be had here. He doesn’t really help you adjust to your drastically new life as well, as he doesn’t think it should be a problem for you. Illumi will be a great husband after all, and you’ll never want for anything! Right? 

There isn’t anything that you can keep to yourself. He’s instructed butlers to befriend you, so anytime you confide in him he knows. It puts you on edge as you realize his statement of having eyes on you at all times is truthful. 

Izaya Orihara (Durarara):

He messes with you a lot, and is sadistic in general. Not physically, but just wanting to challenge different beliefs you have and seeing what happens. Being around Izaya too long can be dizzying. He’ll go from cooing and calling you precious to asking if you’re any different from the people you hate. 

So annoying and he doesn’t care. He shows up at your school, bringing you a lunch as if it’s a casual thing to do. Will show up at your job and introduce himself as your boyfriend to your coworkers and boss. He’ll even run into you when you’re out with friends, and hang out with you as if he was invited in the first place.

Has a lot of issues with loneliness, which leads him to being clingy. He doesn’t care for other people interacting with you. If he hasn’t already kidnapped you/threatened you into compliance yet, he gets rid of any nuisances that hang out around you too often. It stirs up an ugly feeling in his gut that he has a distaste for.

Bucciarati (Jojo Part 5):

Bucciarati is a difficult yandere for a different reason than most of the others. He’s so attentive to your needs and cares for you deeply, and you know that he does. So that’s why it hurts even more when he denies you your freedom under the pretense of your well being.

He’ll hear you out, patiently waiting as you sob your heart out; begging for him to let you go. Bucciarati will even hold you as you do so, comforting you quietly as you cry into his chest. The comfort that he provides feels so genius, that even though he’s the reason you’re upset, you can’t help but accept his warmth in the moment. He’ll be reasonable and say he understands how difficult it must be for you, and you think you might be going somewhere.

But then he’ll put his foot down, saying that this truly is for your well being. He’ll talk about how much he loves you, how you mean the absolute world to him. How he couldn’t stand the thought of something happening to you, his beloved. All you can do is repeat the cycle. 

Kishibe Rohan (Jojo Part 4):

Due to his stand, you have no choice but to be with him. Because of Rohan’s pride, he wouldn’t want to restrict you too heavily with Heaven’s Door at first. He would want you to return his feelings naturally, but would begin with restrictions on you not being able to talk to people he dislikes. 

But if you began to drift away from him, he’d begrudgingly use Heaven’s Door to make you fall in love with him. It would be Black Mirror esque, as you loathe him in your mind but every word you speak says differently. Rohan would cruelly tease you about it, wondering where the sudden change of heart came from.

There’s no escaping this yandere. The restrictions would be impossible to break, but he might lessen them up if you promise to be good; he doesn’t want you to be a robot after all. Don’t betray this trust if you ever get it though or you’ll have to follow Heaven’s Door for the rest of your life.

The Adult Trio Snaps At Clingy S/O

Hisoka:

Honestly Hisoka is pretty hard to envision for this one! But I think I got it!

He’s most likely dealing with some ‘toys’ of his, and you just so happen to be with him

At first, he doesn’t seem to care! He might as well have fun with showing off

But you don’t seem to pay attention to his displays of power

You probably will be sitting on the ground, giving him words of encouragement or complaining about the time you’re waisting

And at first he’s kinda irked? Like why won’t you be quiet and just watch him?

So eventually he gets hurt because he’s distracted

And that’s when his bloodlust is fucking everywhere and it shuts you up

He doesn’t give a shit about his ‘toys’ and he just kills them right then and there

And then he proceeds to walk towards you, his face stone cold

And he just whispers in your ear about how he’s really thinking about killing you

You know he wouldn’t do that to you, but doubt is a strong threat.

So with that, you take off running, not even waisting time in apologizing

He just watches you, wondering what he said wrong...

Let’s face it.. he’s dense.

You avoid clinging to him after that, seeing as you blame yourself for him getting hurt

You tell him that you’re sorry and that you’d try to be better.

So with that conclusion, you hang out with a few friends the next day

And you dont notice that he’s watching until his familiar bloodlust fills the area

All because you had grabbed your friends arm.

He’d appear behind you seconds later, the trace of his dangerous aura is nonexistent

He’d snake his arm around your waist and would whisper something in your ear...then he’d disappear

And that’s when you’d let your friends know you had to go home.

What he whispered? That’s a secret for you and you only.

“Seeing you touch other people really turns me on. Bloodlust wise of course ➖⭐️〰️💧➖”

Illumi:

In all honesty, Illumi doesn’t seem to be the type of person to adjust to affection so easily

It be something foreign to him

So he’d be really confused at first? Is this what Killua had that he didnt? Love?

And sadly, your clingy tendancies would freak him out because of that

He didn’t want to be like Killua. The whole point of being an assassin was to be an emotionless killer

So he’d tell you to leave him alone altogether..

Of course he didn’t mean it, he was just terrified that he’d be seen as weak by his family

That’s when you turned your affection towards the younger Zoldycks

You’d hold Kalluto’s hand, reminding him that he was perfect and didn’t need Killua’s approval

You would go out and find Killua, only to end up talking over lunch and buying him chocolate robots

You would shop with Alluka, buying her all the pretty dresses and things she could want

And you’d even go out of your way to buy Milluki a few games he’d talk to you about.

It seems you were avoiding any contact with him.. and it scared him even more

Now he was alone again

He’d approach you when you were alone, most likely reading or training

He’d hug you, and tell you he was sorry

He’d even open up to how he was scared.. and how love was such a foreign topic

After that, the fear of affection had gone away

He realized that love didn’t make him weak, it made him stronger.

“....You can hug me.. if you still want to that is.”

Chrollo:

In order to see him a lot, you’d have to be a troupe member! So a troupe member you shall be!

Tbh the Troupe itself is full of eccentric and loud people, so you being clingy really isn’t a problem.

To Chrollo, it’s not the clinginess that bothers him. It’s the fact that you will put yourself in danger because of him

When you go on missions with Chrollo, you make it clear that you’d put his life before your own.

And that bothered him.

On a mission with Chrollo, you underestimated the enemy and they had shot a powerful amount of nen at Chrollo.. and you jumped in the way

After thats when he snapped. He yelled and told you that he didn’t need you around him because you only caused trouble.

You listened of course, and tried your best to not speak to him

You’d join in on more games with Shalnark, or partner up with Feitan. You’d do anything that didn’t include Chrollo.

And that’s when he realized that he made a mistake

You didn’t cling to just him. You didn’t risk your life just for him. You did it for everyone.

You got hurt when you paired up with anyone, because you always put their lives higher than yours

He realized that telling you to stop.. wasn’t going to work. You loved everyone to much.

And that’s when he would come to you, apologizing over and over about how he was wrong

He would laugh at your injured state, embarrassed that he yelled at you about something so stupid

You were shocked?? You thought he didn’t like you working with him?? But he just didn’t want you throwing yourself in the way?

You definitely punched him after that, and he let you.

“You can punch me all you want. I just want to feel your touch and know you’re there.”

he did not disappoint. he gave it his all and that’s the most we could’ve asked for.

I wonder if Tolkien ever daydreamed about Middle-Earth like many worldbuilders do about their own worlds

okay but

after everything goes back to "normal", Steve and Eddie obviously stay friends. and Steve has a crush on his new friend. obviously

so one day Eddie decides to give the inside of his uncle's trailer a new coat of paint, including his own room. the bad memories of what happened in that trailer still linger, and the physical reminder on the living room ceiling isn't doing Eddie any good. Steve, of course, offers to help him paint

when he knocks on the door, Eddie yells at him to come inside. Steve enters, and almost chokes on his own tongue

because there is Eddie, in jeans that are more rip than denim, an old ratty crop top with paint on it, and his hair up in a messy bun

they don't get much painting done that day. obviously
