Ok but seriously, is every ancient this deeply connected to the beasts or did Shadow Milk just win the reward for worlds best stalker?

Does Shadow Milk Cookie have a physical form or is the one we see just a hologram of sorts? I mean, when White Lily closes the tree Shadow Milk isn’t somehow dragged inside but instead fades away.
