@picavecalyx:
Sapphire!! How do you feel about Devon corp? [ ACCEPTING ]
“…ah. I forgot I was suppoesd to be there for a sponsor last week, woops.
Eeeh. They pay good for the TV spots, and it’s fun to chat with The Stoners:tm: every now nad then.”
The Stoners are literally Champion Steven and his dad CEO Mr.Stone.
"just karate chop them in the throat? that usually works."
[ also quickly added this rule since ppl are still allergic to overpowered female characters ]
"Wait, real?"
Cue a thumbs up.
"Cool, thanks dude. Then hold on one sec."
And at that she turns to the boat, puts two fingers between her lips and whistles. In a matter of seconds here comes Lyle, her Blaziken, effortlessly holding- Oh that's a lot of bags. She picked up-- arguably the biggest one, one hell of a trekking backpack, but that's still a lot.
"Can you hold 'em a little longer, buddy?"
Cue another thumbs up, this time from the Blaziken.
"Hella." again, she returns the same gesture before fixing the bag on her shoulder, turning again to Hau "Okay, lead the way."
"Oh! I do know where that is, actually!"
"I can take you there if you want? I don't have anything better to do right now anyway." It would take their mind off swimming, too. Apparently you can't swim with a new tattoo? Mean to him.
Well, that was easy.
It's always fun to run into big legendary Champions out of the blue. They're all the same: chill and cool with battles, and ready to have a little bit of fun. At least, as long as nobody was there to watch. Sapphire would've loved to have an audience, but when it came to some big boy like Red it was much better to have as little distractions as possible.
And as little stuff to destroy as possible.
"Neat-o."
Message loud and clear. We're battling, folks! We're playing all the toys we want. A hand went to her pockets as the other kept playing with her own Pokèball, waddling away to make sure they'd have enough space for their Pokèmon to have all the space necessary to have fun.
"Got any preference, buddy? Like, can I use Megaevos? Six Pokes or do we go one on one?"
@whereskymeetsea "Heyyy bucko. Heard you're a big deal, yeah?" She knows who he is. And she's sure he knows who she is. She's holding a pokeball in her hand. "Wanna play toys with me?"
Oh, he knows exactly who she is. Who wouldn’t? The stories ran wild together with his own, and going missing for three years don’t make them disappear. He recovered all the missing pieces one day he tentatively went to the town’s library - old newspapers kept as relics, and read all in a single hour by him. You simply can’t not know who Sapphire is.
And he’s so glad they happened in the same place at the same time.
Just seeing her makes a chill of excitement run down his spine - and seeing her hold a Pokéball sends another one, a much needed smile appearing on his lips. Wanna play toys with me? she asks, and his reply is as silent and as clear as he’s ever been: he takes out a Pokéball from his own belt, throws it up in the air, and catches it again with a firm grip. Oh, he loves playing toys.
"Surprised?"
She's chill, sure, but still beaming with pride. Everyone always talks about the children who faced the bad guys who wanted to take over and/or destroy the world, everyone forgets to ask them how they feel about it.
Good. After all those years, after Archie outed himself as a pretty cool guy, Sapphire still felt good.
"Ssssso you're saying I did you a favor back then?" she giggles, her legs wriggling back and forth over the chair she slouched on "You're welcome, my duuuude!"
@whereskymeetsea approached: " i was pretty mean back then, wasn't i? " <- said with a chill yet slightly smug grin. yea. mean. she kicked his ass severely
"...Yeah, actually. Ya were." He hasn't forgotten the massive ass-kicking, no. "Ya still smug 'bout it, hmm? Well, no matter. I needed it a' the moment."
