she's a villainess??? wrong. she's my special little girl with her enriching little hobbies. only a few people died anyway
Okay, first off, I mean no harm.
What really put me off about the twisted series is its toxic perfection. Everyone is perfect. Even Alex Volkov the Controlling Bastard. He's got problems, sure, but he's so handsome! Therefore murderous intent is inexcusable.
I'm not saying this because I hate the series, or anything. But a little originality would be nice. The Twisted series is just like an updated version of 50 shades of Grey. Everyone is a CEO and is handsome, and all them girls are broke and in their 20's.
And the female characters are so feminine with their perfect bodies, and their perfect wardrobes, and their sad, boo-hoo pasts. As someone who is imperfect, I feel irked.
Also- this toxic masculinity. All males must be dominant and un-emotional until Female Charact walks along with the pouty lips and the curves and the perfect chest, bla bla bla. It's a nice escape into the void, but we need representation. Not everybody is aesthetically pleasing. Not everyone will heal. No one will open up completely.
In conclusion, the books are well written, even if they are cliche.
