this is formatted like a webweave only it's not really one bc i srsly couldn't make a webweave like for my life but at the same time i didn't know how else to condense the brainrot into a consumable form. anyway. something something things that changed and things that didn't, vassal drives me crazy bonkers insane and i think about c!dream in season 1a forever and ever and ever, holy fuck.

(i tried colorcoding but idk how much it helps at all. green emphasizes how he sees L'manburg in relation to the Dream SMP, blue emphasizes his motivations re: L'manburg and how he sees its residents into and out of Pogtopia, and yellow specifically highlights him and Wilbur, specifically how he treats him and his words with authority.)
we dont talk baout ctubbo giving away the cookie outpost without telling cranboo first like we dont talk about how thye dont talk about it you know, why ctubbo is doing all this in the first place, the isolationism, how the missing nuke was meant to be single use because it was meant to kill him, and how ctubbo is still spying still investigating because thats the only way he can feel safe, how hes spending more time doing this than at the unfinished mansion that was meant to be a family home. Can we talk about how he gave it away and cranboo never knew what that meant. can we talka bout it.
honestly i do think cdream blamed ctommy on a lot of his problems bc it has easier than see the nuance in what happened to him and his actions on exile weren't bc of obssesion with ctommy but more of a taking out his anger with him. And it's interesting how both cdream and ctommy blame each other in ruin each other lifes Instead of seeing the nuance and the other people in their lifes that contributed to that happening

We as a society (fandom) do not talk enough about wilbur's first introduction to dream because it's actually hilarious, and we do not talk about the Minecraft dream cult enough
For context, this is from, like, April of 2020 (a solid few months before the whole pizza hut date fiasco). You can watch the video here, and the time stamp for this particular realm is around 19:25
If you don't know, essentially, wilbur did a video where he stole from his subscriber's Minecraft realms, and one of said realms ended up being a """cult""" (in heavy quotations bc it wasn't actually... it's Minecraft) for dream. wilbur goes in, he's on edge, and he has no idea what's going on—he just wants to steal and move on to the next realm.
Anyway, watch the video if you want. What's really funny is that wilbur had no idea who dream was at the time, so it was just some eerie Minecraft realm to him.
A few months later, tommy & tubbo join the dsmp, and wilbur via tommy asks dream on a pizza hut date, and you know the rest. I wonder if wilbur ever connected the dots between dream and the realm.
If you think about it, the idea of wilbur interacting with a creepy cult then meeting the figure of said cult, only to have his first reaction be to ask said person out on a date, is kinda funny.
Some bonus screenshots from the video:
No one makes Galadriel spooky enough. Like yea I get she’s the most beautiful elven maiden the world has ever seen but she’s also downright unsettling.
I bet she fuckin stares at people without blinking for like a solid five minutes and then when you finally ask her what fuck is up she tells you how you’re gonna die.
now there's going to be a funny question: what rational reasons does he have for burning himself in lava? XD
there's nothing else to do obviously 🙄 it annoys the warden and getting a predictable reaction out of him is Useful :) and it's not like it does any real damage soooo. you see he's causing himself repeated pain for very well thought out reasons that he's completely thought through !! knowing how other people will react is Useful. and it shows how not fazed at all he is by pain which is also Useful. and yeah the answer is he's being very rational about it obviously even if it might look like he's not because he's showing sam that he's insane which is important to keeping up the ruse and again the pain doesn't mean anything. so yeah.
