My Life with Morrissey - 2003
Morrissey on stage in Jones Beach, Long Island, New York. July 1991.
the concept of being a recluse even on the internet
I COULDVE BEEN WILD AND I COULDVE BEEN FREE BUT NATURE PLAYED THIS TRICK ON ME.
Erich Heckel, Roquairol (1917, painting & woodcut, respectively); Portrait of a Man (1918).
Inspirations for Andrew Kent’s photograph for Iggy Pop’s The Idiot and Bowie’s hand gestures on “Heroes”. [and also eerie how much it predicts the look of Frankenstein]
Bowie bought one of Heckel’s White Horses (1912) during his time in Berlin, and later told the director of the Brücke-Museum that his painting was of better quality than theirs.
Happy 60th, Morrissey.
