One year ago was not the start of the brain rot but it was the date I could find for when I started making fanart disclaimer I didn’t finish most of them lol

In honor of this special occasion let’s look back on some of it!

It is the only finished one that I will be showing here lmaooo wow Khalid has changed over the year. For context this was before I saw githyankidanky’s design and was like “that’s him, that’s the guy”

I was doing an expression challenge at the time which I also never finished but THIS WAS THE BEGINNING

These two never got out of the gesture and the structure lol.

The one on the right was going to be the picture Jaheira has of them down in her basement in Bg3 that Khalid got from the wizard since she banned him from poetry. I don’t know why I cropped it at the thigh?? I feel like it should be down to the waist at most but whatever past wren.

The unfortunate thing is that most of these relics are now lost as I doodled them on the sides of my notes, I did find one though! And it was this:

You know the clothes are haunting me because I literally had a dream that I was working on this and JAHEIRA HERSELF appeared and chided me for giving her a “bad outfit” IM SORRY JAHEIRA I DIDNT MEAN TO!!

A WIP of a drawing I’m working on but the clothes and colors are killing me lol but I vowed to finish this before I put myself in art boot camp

I’m happy with the sketch but not married to the colors and I don’t like how monochromatic it is around brown and beige so I’ll be experimenting in the lab

If you look closely you’ll see Khalid’s outfit looks quite similar to astarions but we don’t have to talk about that :)

I think I might make rp blog for her (and my Durge, but mostly her because she’s the favorite lol) we’ll see if I get around to that ;-; it also would be nice to have a separate place to put her too for organizational purposes

Wanna draw some memes with the bg1 characters, probably mostly jaheira and khalid because hyper fixation go brrr, but if anyone has any suggestions feel free to suggest

I’m curious, does anyone have a hc about which god took Khalid’s soul after he died?

My take is Silvanus but if anyone has a different idea I’m interested

I hc Khalid’s patron was ilmater when he was younger and still in Calimshan but shifted to silvanus more when he met jaheira

For anyone who doesn’t know about the afterlife in the forgotten realms:

Afterlife in the forgotten realms is kinda vague especially in later editions but my understanding of it is after someone dies they go to the fugue plane and either

a) get picked up by an agent of the deity they were associated with (if they didn’t do something in life that goes against that gods doctrine which makes the god not want them

b) make a deal with devils and go to the hells as a lemure or something else if that’s part of the deal

c) go to the city of judgment. In 3e there are the faithless and the false. The faithless are those who don’t have faith and they become the wall until they get eaten by mold. The false are those who committed some kind of infraction against their patron that they didn’t want them. They become members of the city and are punished according to whatever they did.

I believe that the faithless has changed since then because I’m pretty sure the wall doesn’t exist anymore and faithless wander the fugue plane, in Bg3 withers says the same thing so in the Baldurs gate universe we can say the wall doesn’t exist. The sword coast adventuring guide used to mention the wall but according to the wiki this mention was removed in 2020 so it’s very vague (side note bring back the detailed campaign settings I love them I want the lore) i think the new lore is either the gods will take people who are worthy even if they weren’t necessarily a worshiper or that they still go to the city but kelemvor judges them based on their life and they chill in the city. I know the gods got mad at kelemvor because he was applying mortal morals to his job (since he was mortal) which is when he became more neutral
