Where can i download your mods? They sound awesome!
hey anon, thanks for the ask! as of yet, my mods are still in the tried-and-true concept and design stage! i'll post every step of the way on here, and all my WIPs and polls and such are in the Discord server that's linked basically everywhere.
since CurseForge sucks, my mods (Naturality, Prehistorian and Mythos) will be hosted on Modrinth once the time comes! i'm so glad you're enjoying my stuff- it's an absolute joy to make. hope to see ya around!
DUMB DISCORD (and DUMB TUMBLR's here, obvs)
I know you little guys like animations- boy do I have a gift for you! Two things actually- I updated the goose textures so they're a bit less noisy (and then was so excited I cranked out an animation in like 30 minutes) so enjoy the continuation of the GOOSENING!!!
ALSO coding has begun on Naturality! Hoping for a release sometime this year!
i want to beat IntelliJ to de- oh someone said something
As always, obligatory Discord plug-
More info, pics and a super secret new item teaser below the cut!
Dewlap geese. Boy oh boy were their textures hard to do. They're very soft fellows- I fell into an over-reliance on near-invisible gradients until another texture artist snapped me out of it. Also self-indulgent back texture pic because yes, I am that guy.
OooooOOOoOoOO! You've stumbled upon the bottom of the post!!! oOOOooooOooooooOOO I wonder what this could be for...
standalone big huge pi for the pi day
Good Googly Moogly !!! normal posts coming soon
But guys. Flood my inbox with Blockbench requests and emote requests and general tomfoolery while I’m gone :)
while i’m still working on the discord (esp. onboarding, don’t expect anything craycray there yet) and Mythos doesn’t even have a channel yet, i decided to open ‘er up to get feedback and share my goobers. follow the rules and have fun, proxels! (and also DM me for any roles you want in the meantime). my friend requests and DMs are open, as well!
Hello there.
As a mc mod dev, do you have any advice on how to approach modding/learn it and how did you get into modding in the first place? What motivated you or moved you to it?
Have a wonderful day/night and this cat to keep you silly company:
PS: I love your mob models and their themes. I wish you all the bestest free time and motivation to continue your amazing work.
here's some tips before i yap -
one : assemble some good tutorials before beginning coding ! i can't recommend kaupenjoe more when it comes to 1.16 and above .
two : hone in on stuff you want to improve when it comes to modeling ! i'd start focusing on hue-shifting ( rather than color-ramping ) and other minecraft-style-related things ( such as tiling , light & shadow , & color blocking ) .
three : have a mentor or buddy for modeling , coding & bouncing ideas off of ! there's nothing more valuable than a fellow nerd to talk to / guide you through stuff . i can gladly point you to some of my talented followers / mutuals / friends or be your mod buddy if you have any questions .
four : have a doc of mod stuff ! no matter word or google , some kind of giant collection of everything you could ever dream of for your mod is super useful . if you need an example , DM me !
onto the yapping - i started modding because of my love for the game . i started playing back in 1.10-ish mc , and have been modding since 1.12 or so . eventually i couldn't find any mods that scratched my itch for realistic animal / dinosaur mods with minecraft-style models , so i decided to make 'em myself ! feel free to ask more !
lovely cat btw ! what's their name ?
