Nightmare Eyes
Tumbling down the Sleep Token lore hole (probably rolling into another hyperfixion) and finding out that part of their theming is worshipping a deity that is abusive got me like
Oh. No wonder I feel these songs so deeply and relate to them.
me and some other gay itch devs friens have been annoyed by people making accounts for the sole purpose of spamming 1 star reviews on lgbt projects and like trying to report that when its blatantly obvious (like i had PAID projects that werent even purchased but still got 1 star reviews lol)
if you like my game and want to go the extra mile to support me for free rate my game on itch dot io
like i know i got patreon and donations too but im always honestly caring more about the ratings cause more ratings means algorithm is happy and more people will see my games.
its essentially the same as youtubers requesting you to like and subsribe and hit hte bell icon it really tells the algoritms that this game is good and will try to show it to more people so especially when youre playing gay games on itch io i think everyone should get in the habit of liberally rating the games they liked
Do you think Shadow would listen to Sleep Token?
au where sonic and silver end up on the ark because i say so
a perfectly normal child being raised on a space colony for scientists that are slightly maniacal
I love how irrelevant tumblr is. like no celebrities on here, no colleagues or family on here, no one’s famous off tumblr or making money, tbh no ones even updating the site like is there even any staff? who knows? it’s bliss
For those complaining that the Shadow Dark Beginnings episodes are too short, I urge you to look at some of these scenes frame by frame (pauze the video and use , and . to go back and forth per frame). The attention to detail is immaculate and there's no way they would've been able to achieve this high quality if the episodes were like 20 minutes long. Remember that it's still all free promotional videos we're getting here.
Taking this two/three second clip here to explain my point. First the indicial pose, Shadow's attack in a flash of light, camera following it, a pauze frame, then the impact shot with flashing lights, camera shaking, bight light fading to show the broken arm with the chain, even the lights at where the arm was separated flashing on and off each frame, then BAM Shadow's shoe covering up most of the view, only to be wayy in the back one frame later to give a real sense of speed, the camera needing to catch up to him, one more flash as Shadow slides into place, giving the feeling of slow-motion which also puts more emphasis on how fast he's moving, not to mention to give the viewer a tiny moment to take in the composition of it all. The way it's angled leads the eye from the robot to Shadow, the size difference between the two and hhh the chain so perfectly put in place, slightly tilted towards the camera for an extra sense of depth. It all seems so simple, but there's so much thought and effort put behind this and it's absolutely gorgeous. Putting the frames together below the cut
There’s a certain thrill I get from playing Sonic games that, whenever I find it in other games, I immediately latch onto it. The more I think about it, the more I find it in my other hobbies and interests. I’m guessing it has to do with quick reaction times and rewards. Either way, here’s some things that make my ADHD brain go brrrrr in no particular order:
Speedy Sonic levels
Web swinging in Spider-Man games
Rhythm games
Fast paced music
Skateboarding (or what I imagine it would feel like when you’re actually good at it)
(Mountain)biking
Driving on the highway (still a lil scary tho)
Imagining the running parkour man outside of the car following you
Free running / parkour
Running on a trampoline
Tree climbing
Might add more later if I come up with more stuff
Felt
having feelings atm
Hyperfixation goes brrrr
