Bloodbark trees are highly prized for their exotic red wood. Also called Murder Trees, they produce large amounts of sap that looks strikingly like blood.

Those who have felled this tree claim to have become convinced they were striking down a human being. This is thought to be an adaptation that allows Bloodbarks to survive in an increasingly deforested world.
