Kismet Harmony

Part 1, Part 2(You are here!), Part 3,

Alright, here's what I'm thinking about what our 4 boys do once they have to leave Branch behind with promises to be back with BroZone.

Hype is the one to point out they have no idea what John Dory even looks like. Boom says he probably looks like Branch. Trickee says they can just ask other people on the trail.

They talk to both giants and other trolls and every single one seems to either know of John Dory or know someone who does. They each make him out to be some feral mountain man.

“Are we sure we need him?” -Hype

“Yes.” -Trickee

“Then how do we find him?” -Boom

“Maybe if we play BroZone on full volume he’ll appear.” -Ablaze

Ten minutes later, sitting on a hill top, Boom cranks a boom box to full volume and plays ‘Perfect’

“It was a joke.” It works.

Rhonda comes bursting out of the bushes, scaring Kismet, and almost destroys the boom box in her excitement to get to it. John throws the door open, ignoring the 4 trolls who had tackled each other to get out of the way, and and loudly shouts he’s here and who is playing BroZone?

"Wow he does look like Branch."

Gonna work on part 3, and hopefully it'll be a bit longer, if anyone has any ideas/questions just toss them into my inbox and I'll try to get to them.

Boom:

- Loves "What a Man Gotta Do" by the Jonas Brothers

- Guilty pleasure for country, really likes "Homegrown" by Zac Brown Band and "I Don't Want This Night to End" by Luke Bryan

- Favorite song of all time is "It's Gonna Be Me" by BroZone and he will not tell Branch that.

Branch:

- Eclectic loser, doesn't have a favorite

- Really likes "Lose Your Way" by Broadside and "When the Earth Stands Still" by the Phoenix Chamber Choir, though.

Ablaze: Raspberry Sprite and Steak Nachos with extra jalapeños.

Trickee: Limonada/Brazilian Lemonade and blackberry and cheese danishes.

Hype: Fruit Punch Energy Drink (any brand) and fruit salad without any grapes.

Boom: Supersweet caramel coffee with whipped cream and soba, hot or cold for both the food and the drink.

They all build their bonds with Branch before they start to meet each other through him. Their individual friendships start to form long before they consider starting up a band.

Branch never stopped singing, not completely. Not until Kismet broke up. He didn't sing often after Grandma Rosiepuff died and he never sang in public. What he did sing was never happy but he still sang to himself on occasion. Music was in his blood, both as a Troll and as someone who's been performing since he was in diapers. It's not something that he could just quit at the drop of a hat like that.

It's only after Branch builds them their own hideout that the idea starts to form. Kismet are all hanging out in the space that Branch built for them, drinking after some party or another, and singing loudly. Underneath them screaming the lyrics, though, one of them hears a softer voice singing along. "Oh my- Branch your voice is so good!" "You sing!?" "Hey, that's damn good."

That's when the first spark ignites.

It takes a while for them to bring up being a band, let alone getting Branch to join in, and it takes even longer for Branch to open up about BroZone and his childhood. But they get there, they assure Branch that there's no pressure, but Branch feels safe with them and he likes singing so one day he tentatively agrees.

Branch never preformed on stage and he was never shown in the band's branding but everyone knew there was a fifth member of Kismet.

No no I know but wouldn't it just make so much sense if while the Funk Royal parents are searching for their missing egg they instead find a wandering grey Pop trolling in the wilderness they would be like "cool, the universe sent a free son"

Wanna present more of the characters I built for the AU so here we go!

Diamond Hype AU: Hype

Hype was the eldest of the 5, essentially stepping into the role of the big brother. He was about 6 years older than branch. When branch initially met the group, it was in a sort of therapy group for children who’d been having a hard time whether it was losing family members or other issues. During this, they discovered all of them had a passion for singing and dancing, so they formed a band called kismet for fun to get their minds off of it. The band ended up gaining a fair bit of popularity, surprisingly.

When branch’s grandmother died and Branch went grey and swore off singing, the band went on “hiatus”. Hype ended up being the sole caretaker of the other 4, despite not being a teen yet. He tried to keep all 4 happy, he’d sing to them, he’d cook their meals, he’d tuck them into bed, he’d do everything possible.

When the first two, Ablaze and Trickee, left about a year after Branch went grey (their departure will be further explained in their own posts), Hype made sure they had everything they needed, packing their bags, and comforted Ablaze before he left. 2 years after that, when Boom left, he did the same, making sure he’d have everything, and despite being sad to see him go, he wished him well and sent him off.

Hype stayed with Branch for several years after this (nearly a decade), despite Branch mostly isolating himself and barely talking to him. He continued to take care of him and try to make him feel better, to no avail. After getting into an argument, Branch tells Hype he doesn’t need anybody, and that he could take care of himself and he doesn’t need Hype worrying over him like a child. Hype asked branch whether he wanted him to stay or if he actually wanted him to leave, and Branch told him he’d be fine on his own and that he didn’t need Hype to take care of him anymore.

Due to this, Hype respected Branch’s wishes, but before leaving, told him that if ever he needed him for any reason whatsoever, to send him a letter and that he’d drop everything and come back to help.

After leaving, Hype sent frequent letters to Branch, whether he ever got a response or not (usually he did not). As the years went, do to the lack of responses, he sent less and less letters, until he only sent one once a year for Branch’s birthday, not wanting to seem too much of a burden to his little brother (found family yippee <3)

In current time, Hype decided he wanted to experience all kinds of music, so he found himself traveling around to all the different types of trolls, and even eventually made his way to Mount Rageous. This would be a terrible mistake on his part, as this is when he is found by Velvet and Veneer and taken captive in the Diamond prison.
