I like to think Trickee was the one that found him first, so him being the oldest of the group he became the big brother for them, although he doesn't act like it at all

Branch and Boom are a year apart so they are the youngest in the group, and have a strong bond, called themselves twins at some point, Hype didn't have the heart to tell them that twins are the same age

Ablaze is the adventurous type, Trickee is second, like he will literally do side quests when he's only suppose to be foraging, often gets into wrestling matches with Trickee

Ablaze: 28

Trickee: 27

Hype: 25

Boom: 25

Branch: 24

Character insights:

Ablaze: Protective and borderline parental. He's the oldest of the group so he feels as though it is his responsibility to keep everyone safe and happy. Having John Dory around makes him want to watch the world burn.

Trickee: More mellow than Ablaze, but still very protective of Branch and the others. Hates that Branch seems to be fine with having his bio brothers around but tries to stop Ablaze from killing JD. He's not above pettiness or violence but tries to keep the peace for everyone's sake.

Branch: He got his colors back within a few years of moving in with Ablaze and his parents (more on that later) and lived a mostly happy life until John Dory showed up and asked him to help save Floyd. By the time the mission is completed he is completely overwhelmed and just wants to pretend that none of it ever happened. Nothing would make him happier than moving on with his life and allowing past transgressions to go unmentioned.
