some covah sketches.
Meet Lyrus, the support dog! ....What do you mean he looks funny? He's just your average dog from the pits of Hell! No big deal! Lyrus is an emotional support dog for Covah post-story. He is trained to help Covah with his PTSD and Autism (yes, Covah is autistic- I just don't mention it often). Covah named Lyrus after the first wielder of Simone's sword, whom he heard many stories about during his time under the Viking Princess.
Lyrus:
His eye opens up to his mouth if that’s not obvious. The eye flips up like an eyelid but goes behind the skin instead of scrunching up at the top of the mouth. He only opens his mouth to eat- any noises he makes (which are at the volume of the average dog) are made with his mouth closed. He does not need to eat, but he does like treats and food.
Can eat souls, but does not like them. They taste funny :c If he ate a soul, that would destroy it forever unless he barfed it up.The barf would contain broken chunks of the soul, and the soul needs to be repaired - which is hard to do. Only the strongest souls can do it.
Leaves hell fire where he walks. These are black flames that do not burn the average mortal, or inanimate objects- but will burn a soul (so ghosts will be hurt)
Is very friendly! Think your average, over excitable puppy with support dog training.
Is the same size as a Doberman
Cannot die unless his soul is destroyed, which is hard to do for the average man. This makes him perfect for the immortal Covah so he doesn't have to go through the death of someone he's attached to again.
thank you so much for drawing her again!!! she came out so wonderful!! 💖💖💖
Reference sheet commission for @yaboy-robin !
She was great to work with! I never thought reference sheets could be fun
I made a generator for steven universe so you can do random fusions/ships. This is mostly for my own use lol. But if you wanna use it you can!
The second of my bonus gems; Confusionite! They are mostly a gem version of my non fandom character Hitchcock, lol.
Confusionite is the only one of their kind, being an experimental gem crafted by Blue Diamond. Confusionite has future vision, like Sapphires. But something…. Off happened.
No one’s sure what’s wrong in Confusionite. Their gemstone, hole, coding- everything says they are an average gem. But, they are…. off. Not fully there.
It could be explained with the power of their future vision, being stronger than even Garnet’s. They foresee any path the future may hold, and are not bound by perceptions towards those who they are predicting for or probability. So, Confusionite’s predictions almost always happen. Even if they do not, hints and echoes of what they foresaw are left behind. Their predictions tend to be vague as well, cryptic and riddle-y.
Confusionite is a very free willed gem, not conforming to the Diamond’s rule and instead being a rouge gem and predicting when they feel like it to those who visit them. The only reasons the Diamonds don’t shatter them when they defy their order is their vision is too powerful to waste.
In era three, they move to Earth and enjoy the spontaneous nature of the planet, and only look to the future if absolutely necessary now.
TIME FOR ME TO FINALLY SETTLE ON A DESIGN FOR THIS CONCEPT I’VE HAD FOR YEARS. NEW DECADE, NEW ME.
Legends tell of a man who collects souls deep in the forest. Be good, children, or The Soul Collector will swipe your soul away....
Sabres is a crossbreed. Born to a one night stand between a water fae and an Atlantean, Sabres was raised by his fae mother and his other fae relatives. His father didn’t have a chance to fight for his custody, being killed by Sabres’s mother after a confrontation.
Since he was a tiny guppy, Sabres has been.... Different. Even amongst other fae. He’s always been interested in death. Nothing too out of the ordinary for the fae who study necromancy. But, Sabres seemed to take his fascination... In a different direction.
He knew that his father was killed by his mother. His mother was open about it to her son. But.... Sabres wanted to know his father. Know his Atlantean side.
He studied up on magic and, as a teenager, finally could cast a spell to contact the dead. What he found was.... horrifying.
His father was in Hell. He wasn’t a perfect man, by any means, but he wasn’t terrible either! (At least, not by his standards.) Sabres was confused. How could his father be in hell if he wasn’t too bad?
Sabres wanted to save those who weren’t bad, like his father. He couldn’t save his father now, but he could save others! He had to. He would find a way to sneak the “less bad” into the demanding heaven. Or at least find a way to lessen Heaven’s standards.
He started to tinker in dark magic, turning himself undead at some point so he could have more time to study up on magic. After Primrose’s confrontation with him, Sabres found the last bit they were missing. He found a way to get souls into a “neutral state”. They wouldn’t fight against him, they wouldn’t commit more “sins”, they wouldn’t do anything in this state. Not even think or speak or anything. But, that was fine. Once Sabres found a way to sneak them into Heaven, they could catch up on lost years!
Sabres uses his magic to keep him and his souls undetected by the “higher-ups”. So many souls have gone missing over many years. But, the higher-ups never noticed. At least, all of the higher-ups except for Death. It was his job to find souls after all.....
Now Sabres is in crunch mode. Someone’s bound to come looking for Death sooner or later. Maybe he could use the man as a captive? A ransom so Heaven would lessen his standards? He isn’t sure, but he knows he needs to figure it out soon. Or else fail. and waste his life’s work.
The diamonds
Since Diamonds are generally seen as "romantic" gems in jewelry, I thought I'd give them a somewhat romantic purpose! Here's a Pink Diamond whose purpose is to see the various relationships between gems - and pair the best possible ones together for missions! Close enough they get along, but not close enough a fusion occurs.

Developed Atonal Dissonance more. Read under the cut for info:
So Cypress was a bright-eyed fae who wanted nothing more than to save people. Their power developed when they were twelve, the average age for more vocal-based powers. And they were thrust into the spotlight. As soon as it was acceptable, POINT scooped Cypress up, having them create the hero title of “Galant Cadence”. The reason, however, was less than pure. POINT saw Cypress as a threat. A fae with such powerful siren magic? Fae were known tricksters, and too many recorded to be villains. They wanted to keep an eye on this powerful being. They didn't treat them well as a result and brought them on as little missions as they could. No need for a villain to spark inspiration in the young one.
Resent grew, but.... they held it in. These were their friends, their allies. They became close with Carol when she joined, finally making one friend in all this. She made it all almost worth it.
All this secrecy went on until they found correspondence that detailed what they were doing to them. That they thought of them as a villain. Carol never knew. She was only a junior member, after all.
The night after Laserblast, Gar, and Carol all went on the sandwich incident mission- Cypress stood up for themselves. They couldn't stand up to Laser- and Carol had already left. But they wouldn't miss their chance with the rest. Hit them while they're down. They all thought they were a villain? They'd be a villain. Cypress was known as Atonal Dissonance from then on, just doing whatever they thought would be "bad". They were no longer that bright-eyed kid who joined POINT. They were a siren who wanted nothing but others to feel the pain they did.
They'd appear in various photos Carol keeps from her time in POINT. Flashbacks too, with hints of their fate, sprinkled about. They show up in their villain form during a musical episode. Their goal is to ruin Carol for her betrayal, as Cypress had been boiling about their friend's betrayal for years, and had finally found her. They find Carol knew nothing about the betrayal and this is the first the mother learned about it. Cypress leaves to contemplate this.... They end up neutral at the end of their character arc, realizing not everyone was terrible to them. But, not fully wanting to go back to hero-hood. They call themselves "Falsetto" now.
