1. Maybe it sounds banal, but the first thing that comes to my mind is love. Love, in all its forms, big and small! It makes me so happy to love and be loved, to consume media about love! Love and peace on planet earth etc etc

2. Art!! To create, to draw and write and make little silly homemade thingys is so delightful. Art fills my life with purpose. I'm so proud of myself when i look at a painting my hands made, when I reread a fic or a little novel I wrote with my heart and my mind. Art is a form of love btw, that's why it's so beautiful

3. Music! For me, song lyrics is a way to express my feelings. My life is a musical and I'm the main character and

4. Color! Idk if I'm neurodivergent but I have this colour obsession thing... I sort things by colour to soothe myself and feel joy, colour is the most important quality of clothes to me, I associate people with colours and so on. Recently I started playing minecraft, and I'm so happy when I build something with a pretty colour palette! For me, the worst thing about winter is the lack of colour outside. The list goes on.

5. It's... The small things in life, you know? My mom taught me to notice beautiful things around me, to see and appreciate even the smallest beauties of it. You know, like a flower growing in a crack in the asphalt, a dog looking out of a car window, a pretty cloud, a happy person walking through the crowd, a cute little sparrow sitting on a tree branch. I think it's really important to take a pause every once in a while and remember that the world is actually beautiful. It's not made of wars, taxes and grocery stores, it's so much bigger than our gray everyday lives...

You know, this post made me realise that there's actually so many things that make me happy! I've been kinda feeling down for a long time, but today was a really nice day, and I'm smiling while writing this. Hope whoever will read this has a nice day too! :)

Well, at this particular moment I'm sitting in my evil gay bed getting late for my evil gay walk, but generally I'm trying to rewrite my fanfic that I've abandoned a huge time ago... I really really want to finish flame of hope bc this story is VERY important to me and I want it to be told but... writing is hard sometimes and there's school and my iron deficiency....... i am cringe (also not free)

I'm not sure I should share some of my new work right now bc I'm afraid that if I promise something to my readers again I'll fail again, so I'm trying to write just for process' sake. Besides flame of hope I'd like to post something abt Morfonica again, but I'm not quite sure what exactly... Well, we'll see if I can do something nice for the fandom again <3

It's hard to post regularly... Well here I come with a new Morfonica analysis! I hope someone still remembers me :_)

Today I wanna talk about the birthday illustrations! This post will be divided in two parts because of the image limit. This post is about Mashiro, Touko and Rui.

Birthday illustrations are really interesting because they represent the girls' personalities and the things they like as gifts from their bandmates. So, let's see what we've got here!

💙MASHIRO💙

Mashiro is a sweet and cute girl who has a dream to become someone significant. I like that she is blue-themed, because blue is accociated with calmness, kindness, softness and all such (at least I think so...) Her illustrations always fill me with joy. She collects stuffed animals and knits, such a SOFTIE... Look how happy she is on the third pic with all those plushies! She is their mom now 🥺

Her gift is a seal plushie, I wonder who gave it to her (mashirui brainrot activated) Also the same seal on the cupcake holds a sewing needle, so maybe it represents Mashiro herself? She is a baby seal your honor

There's also some interesting things in the big picture :

1. Mashiro follows a butterfly, gently holding her stage costume hat. So wholesome.

2. Why are there fish? I suppose it's either a dream or a metaphor, maybe a Shinkai Shoujo reference. Shinkai Shoujo is a perfect song for Mashiro, by the way, it's so sad...

3. There's a stone with the school motto in the background! It appeared in the beginning of Morfonica's BS1. I don't remember the words perfectly, but it said something like "Your radiance will light up your path". Tsukinomori literally has a motivational quote on a chunk of stone in their garden. So fancy.

Here goes our dorky fashion icon! Her gifts are all food, and I think it's from Nanami. Touko gave Nanami a bottle of spicy sauce for her own birthday, so it would be a fair exchange. Touko is having a time of her life eating fried noodles, and I'm proud of her.

There's not much to say about the first picture, but I like how it represents her two biggest passions – making clothes and playing guitar. Also a cute little detail – she's wearing a butterfly necklace. It would be so cute if she started wearing more butterfly accessories after joining the band! And I like those birthday glasses from the third pic! You go girl!!

I've already talked about Rui's 2020 birthday illustrations in this post about Rui slander. It's interesting too, so read that and come back here!

So, we see our beautiful beloved Rui-Rui being a little happier than usual. She's wearing glasses because she is smart and classy and everything

I don't like her pose from the second pic because it's strange, but here's a little detail: she is watching magical white flowers grow around her! You know what it reminds me of? BS2. Yeah, it came out later than the birthday pictures, but still it looks like a parallel... I'm probably reading too much into this lmao

There really isn't much to analyse anymore, I just love looking at her and thinking about her making friends and doing what she really likes instead of trying to reach some weird non-existent "perfection" that her parents created. She is my little meow meow and I will protect her with my life. >:[ 💚💚💚💚

I'm returning with a big project I've been working on for a week – the cover art for the fanfic! I didn't post anything on tublr for a long time because I had a depressive episode, but now I'm trying to make art again! I'm so happy about how this drawing turned out!

"flame of hope" is a psychological and romance drama about Morfonica – a musical band which has five special members: Mashiro Kurata, who always follows her dreams; Touko Kirigaya, who wants to share her awesomeness with the world; Nanami Hiromachi, who hides her true artistic self to make friends; Tsukushi Futaba, a reliable but underrated older sister; and Rui Yashio, whose family and past hides a few dark secrets. Where their love for music and each other will bring them? We'll see!

flame of hope in a nutshell:

When Rui decided to join the band:

It finally happened! The full MV came out, so here I am with the 3rd part of my analysis and simping for Rui and Mashiro! Read the previous ones for full view~

The beginning was really dark and sad. We already saw Rui playing in the dark, but there's more about it – she's alone, the shadows absorb her and she closes her eyes. The violin disappears, and the butterfly flies away. Rui got lost.

What amazes me is that we really see her emotions on her face. I've waited so long to see her sadness and her smile, and my expectations were more than met!

These shots below don't go one after another, but it's a perfect comparison, isn't it? Mashiro's moon is full and shining, nothing obtains it's light.

Then goes the clip we've already seen, and after that the best part begins – RUI SINGS! WITH MASHIRO! SHE'S SMILING! Her smile and her voice didn't make my day, it makes my every day for two years, since Morfonica was announced. I just... I love them so much. Besides, this set being mashirui and this song with mashirui moments makes me, an ultimate mashirui shipper, wheeze and cry.

These pictures just blew me away. Rui has never, NEVER smiled like that before. I hoped she would one day, but I didn't realise how happy it would make me feel. And like, it's not just my fantasies and headcanons, which nobody cares about, it's canon. It's real. Rui, my precious baby, I love you with all my heart, I'm proud of you and happy for you making friends and letting yourself experience your emotions without repressing them.

Singing and making music together, becoming friends, becoming a family, they make this world bloom with bright colors, dreams, hopes and love. This warmth is what's really important.

The waiting is over, Mashiro.

So, back to the talk. I just love this moment where after this Mashiro shot we see Rui, so geniuinely surprised. She looks so innocent. She's nothing like that stiff cold strict image she presented to us at first, can you see it now? She is just a child. And I love that child.

The butterflies, which in my opinion represent the girls' efforts, hopes and dreams, form a new violin for Rui. It looks the same, but feels diffirent. Fun fact: butterfly is the symbol for rebirth.

But there's not only the violin. A new butterfly was born from the others. A small and fragile, but bright spark, which can lead Rui to a happier tomorrow, to a better place.

I can't wait to see the full version of this amazing MV and play this event! I hope you like my textposts, because I wanna make more! I have the idea of a post about their birthday illustrations in mind ;)

So, the 2nd chapter of the main Morfonica story trailer and a new MV teaser dropped, and I want to talk about it.

I will never shut up about how amazing the Morfonica MVs are. The graphics, the facial expressions, the colors, the lightning, the music... *chefs kiss*

As far as I know, Rui is going to quit the band in this story. Ow. That's bad. What confuses me is that there's no explanation WHY Rui wants to do so. It must be her parents, because she said once that "Instead of wasting time on things where you will not be successful, it is better to use time on things that you are confident in. These are the words of my parents, but I think so too" for a reason. I can't say much about the trailer itself, because there's just some japanese text abd the new cards. The new cards are beautiful, of course. When I saw Rui SMILING like THAT i almost fell from my bed, screaming. That's what you need to know about me as a person...

So, about the MV. Finally, fucking finally they showed us Rui's weaknesses and emotions. At the beginning she's playing in the dark void, alone and forgotten. Looks heartbreaking. Just. Just look at her face.

Then we see Tsukushi standing in a colorful pretty forest, but she looks worried. And then, all the light fades out.

But despite being in the dark, stuck and lost, they keep on singing. Sparkling bright butterflies appear, flying forward. The girls watch them fly by, and they look really proud of what they're doing.

And then Mashiro sends these butterflies to Rui with this gesture and face expression.

She's like a force of hope, love and light in this dark and scary place. And she gives all this light to Rui, to make another butterfly, which can fly up to the sky, when Rui can play her violin again. And I just think that's incredible.

At first I considered it quite a random combination, but on the second thought I realized that they really could get along!

They both are insecure inside, so they make up a confident socially acceptable image, which actually can prevent them from making true friends and developing as a person

Actually, a lot of bandori characters hide behind some masks – Kaoru, Nanami, Misaki, etc (I don't know all the characters perfectly). And I think it's really cool that CraftEgg raises topics such as sibling conflicts, insecurities, weaknesses and other emotional issues. The lack of these things always upset me in many idol fandoms – it's sad to see hundreds of plane, cliche characters without negative emotions and any inner conflicts. I understand the specifics of this genre, but I don't think any idol or rhytm game would be worse with some good character development. It's actually an advantage, because people like characters who they can empathize with. That's what i like in bandori. Maybe its characters aren't as deep and complex as they could be, but they don't have to. That's what the fanfiction is for.
