I feel like most fanart doesn’t give me the andrew I want.
it’s described in the books of him being really strong, neil mentions how much he lifts in the gym, how he didn’t expect him to be able to shut him out for long because of his heavy racquet, and how sturdy he is. so much fanart has him around the same size and neil and having a pretty lean physique. but I want him to be buff
in my head i’m picturing him looking like a lot of rugby players. give me andrew with large biceps and broad shoulders w/ lean more runner body type neil. I need more muscular andrew pls
Pretending to like rapist Achilles cuz the Greek mythology community can't admit to themselves he was an asshole and deserved to die ☹️🙏 My boy Hector you deserved better
If hair braiding isn’t taught in many beauty schools, why does the government force black women to go (and pay thousands) to get a cosmetology license? What’s worse is not doing so could result in a $10,000 fine and a year in prison. Since the 1990s, the Institute for Justice has been fighting for hair braiders — and a new legal showdown in Iowa could be their biggest yet.

Still can't believe this is how Neil fucking Josten is based on...wow
Neil Josten
"I can't wait for Kabru x mithrun to be in the so people see how superior it is 🤓👆" Kabru spends the rest of his post canon life with a man and it's not mithrun, just saying 💆♀️
Today we're talking about character voice, backstory, and writing with specificity. I’ve talked about all these elements separately, but combined these three are the most important elements of your description. Why? Because describing something is the best place to learn not only what the character is experiencing, but more about them and their backstory.
We do that through drawing comparisons not to abstract ideas, but to specific moments the character has witnessed. Okay, consider these two examples:
The room smelled of warm spices and herbs like a fancy restaurant kitchen.
Vs.
The room smelled like the thyme and basil that clung to my mother's hair when she had finished making dinner, kneeling to hug me after I came in from school.
They convey the same information, but we learn so much more about the character in the second example.
In my Differentiating between Perspectives post, I talked more about attitude in character voice. What your character compares things to is a great tell for voice. Here’s the example from that post:
“The bar was filled to the brim with sweaty drunks falling over each other, barely cognizant of the drinks they were spilling--much less so the people around them.”
Versus
“Upbeat dance music filled the bar. A crowd had formed in the middle of the floor, people cheering and dancing together like the rest of the world hardly mattered.”
Right?

So when you’re describing something and reaching for a metaphor or something to liken it to, try to make it personal, in the character’s voice, and specific. We can learn a whole lot more that way.
Sometimes i'm reminded Allison, Kevin and Neil are the only canonically really hot people on the fox team and everyone else is just your average Joe's
Welcome
We are the family of Zaher with his wife and five children, Manar Farah Halak Ahmed Baraa. Manar is married and has a baby. We are from Gaza, north of it specifically. Before the 7th of October, we lived a happy life and had all the necessities of life available to us, including education, food, housing, and medicine. We had our dreams that we aspire to reach. Without wars and calmly, but unfortunately the war started before we achieved a need. The occupation burned our house and completely bombed my sister’s house. Our homes became uninhabitable, and all of Gaza became unfit for life according to a global agreement. We in Gaza live a very tragic life and we hope that this damned nightmare will end. My father used to work in trade, but even his workplace was destroyed. My sister’s husband used to work in selling clothes, and his shop also burned down, and no traces of him remained. Manar, her eldest son, was born in the war, and he has no clothes left
Or anything related to children, and if there are any, it is with great difficulty due to the siege and the high prices. Manar is studying law and was unable to finish university, Farah and Hala are studying business administration in the third year, Ahmed is in high school and was unable to finish it because of the war, and Baraa is in the eighth grade
We want to leave Gaza and rebuild our future. Support us and donate to us. May God reward you with all goodness. A small amount makes a difference. Thank you
LMAOO 😭 y'all i promise you it is 🙏 me and my sister didn't get along as children but now that we are grown and are actually mature and not stupid ass kids and teenagers get along just fine.
Also in Italian culture insults are just not that deep like at all? If you go in town for like 5 minutes you'll get called 5 insults, it just is not as deep as in American (I'm guessing) culture i guess, neither me nor my sister ever actually took anything to heart cuz insults and cussing is just straight up normal here.
This whole Sansa vs Arya shit always makes me laugh, "Sansa bullied Arya" bruh my sister used to call me a fucking whale and i used to make fun of her teeth cuz she had kind bunny like front teeth it's normal for CHILDREN who are also SIBLINGS to make fun of each other "Uuuh but Jeyne Poole also made fun of Arya" I'm a younger sibling my sister and her friend did not want me around when they were together and would usually tease me to make me leave because guess what? They were children that did not want a random ass kid in their business (and they were older than both Sansa and Jeyne). Arya teases and makes fun of Sansa too y'all i promise you that shit ain't that deep, we literally know that they love and care deeply for each so this whole rivalry y'all got going on needs to stop cuz it's getting embarrassing this girls are between the ages of like 8-11 please stop trying to make them out to be bad people, they are children and children are selfish and assholes sometimes doesn't mean they're evil
she/her I'm in so many fandoms I've forgotten the name of most of them 😭🙏
