happy sugimoto day๐๐
The Stark sisters are truly my roman empire, apparently being a fan of both is unpopular here on Tumblr but i love them. I think their relationship is so realistic, anyone with a sibling will tell you about the times they didn't get along, i think this fandom thinks their relationship is cruel because they think their age gap is bigger than it actually is, they're just two years apart and don't understand each other's ideals so they have conflicts but it's so very obvious how much they love each other from Arya thinking of needle for all her siblings "even for Sansa" and Sansa imagining her daughter would look like Arya โน๏ธ Doomed sisters how i love you
I haven't read all of the books yet either but I agree with you that Mu Qing doesn't deserve the hate that he gets. But he also gets a lot of love, people are just quieter about it.
No, what they went through is not comparable. They both suffered in different ways, and neither character is 100% perfect. That's how the author writes.
I'm sorry people are being so rude to you.
It's okay, i'm not in the fandom (obviously since i haven't read the books) but i am around it ig since i really like svsss, what i see is usually very 50/50 either people that love him or people that say weirdly hateful classist stuff about him, and it's quite interesting honestly, even Shen Jiu (one of) the villain of svsss is extremely loved and he is a whole child abuser ๐ i guess it's interesting to see how polarizing people's opinions of him are

from PalestineCinema.com:
Salvaged from the ruins of Beirut after 1982, Abu Ali's early film has only recently been made available. Shooting under extraordinary conditions, the director, who worked with Godard on his Ici et Ailleurs (Here and Elsewhere), and founded the PLO's film division, covers conditions in Lebanon's refugee camps, the effects of Israeli bombardments, and the lives of guerrillas in training camps. They Do Not Exist is a stylistically unique work which demonstrates the intersection between the political and the aesthetic. Now recognised as a cornerstone in the development of Palestinian cinema, the film only received its Palestine premiere in 2003, when a group of Palestinian artists "smuggled" the director to a makeshift cinema in his hometown of Jerusalem (into which Israel bars his entry). Abu Ali, who saw his film for the first time in 20 years at this clandestine event noted: "We used to say 'Art for the Struggle', now it's 'Struggle for the Art'"
I'm begging the artist of the aftg fandom to please draw Mary and Stuart more ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ especially drawing them together, doomed siblings fr fr
Hello everyone
Iโm Malk Iโm 14 years old but I am feeling that am 70 years๐
My parents took great care of us, giving us everything they had, and my childhood was wonderful to some extent.
I lived through four wars, the latest being in 2021, during which we lost everything: our warm home and my mom's office where she worked in digital marketing.
My dad is one of the owners of the Jewel Tower, but my family decided to leave Gaza for Turkey in 2022 because the tower hadn't been built yet, and to provide a better life for us.
My dad couldn't leave Gaza, so he returned before the war because my grandfather is sick and needs care. I wish I were with my dad because I fear losing him.
The past few months have been the hardest for us and our family.
I hope you can help me by sharing the link and donating so I can get my family from Gaza๐๐ป๐๐ป
Suzanne collins wrote a trilogy where a main media propaganda strategy was to market a horrific act of violence as a love story to distract ppl and then it got adapted into a box office breaking movie and ppl made it all about the love triangle. so then since they didnโt get the point the first time Suzanne collins wrote a prequel story about the main dictator and she makes it so that you as a reader want it to be a genuine love story so badly even tho itโs so very clearly not and instead feels extremely unsettling to make her point even more meta which then gets adapted into another box office breaking film and now ppl are making romantic snowbaird tik toks. do u think sheโs gonna write another book thatโs somehow even more blatant or just give up and start executing ppl? hard to say but I wouldnโt blame her for the second one
Part of what charms and compels me in Jeyne Poole's arc is her reaction to her predicament. All the female POVs in this book are dealing with a lot of gendered violence, and they all deal in different but dignified forms... Jeyne is not a POV character and she is absolutely not dignified lol. She cries and begs, she is utterly helpless. But unlike most women in this book who are utterly helpless, she survives. It's frustrating how fans refuse to celebrate that, simply because there is no glory in it.
Hello ๐
I am Maysaa Aldahdooh from Gaza
My family and I face death, hunger, and diseases every day. We are a Palestinian family in desperate need of help from anyone with a conscience, a compassionate heart, and a sense of humanity.
Help us overcome these hardships
I am reaching out to you today, standing firm as I face unbelievable challenges. Life in our area has become increasingly difficult due to the ongoing and escalating conflict, and I am struggling to secure the basic necessities for myself and my family.
About me and my family:
I am 38 years old, married to Hossam Al-Dahdoh, and we have five children: Jamal, 16 years old; Mohammed, 14 years old, who suffers from a chronic disease called Mediterranean fever and must take lifelong medication; Layan, 10 years old; Amir, 8 years old; and Zina, 4 years old.
We have faced death dozens of times. Our home was completely destroyed and burned, making it uninhabitable. We have been displaced more than 20 times, and we narrowly escaped certain death on several occasions. We have lost over 100 relatives, neighbors, and loved ones. The area where I live is constantly under attack with rockets, shelling, and gunfire. We struggle to find healthy food, clean drinking water, and my son Mohammed cannot access the medicine he needs. My children can no longer attend school. For these reasons, my family and I have decided to leave Gaza in order to protect the lives of my children from death, hunger, disease, and the effects of war, food shortages, lack of medicine, polluted water, and the destruction of educational institutions
How you can help us:
โข By making a financial donation, even if itโs a small amount.
โข By sharing our story on social media.
โข By offering words of support and encouragement.
The funds we raise will be used for:
โข Helping us with the costs of leaving Gaza and seeking refuge in a country that respects human rights, such as Canada, Belgium, or Sweden. The costs of leaving are high, with each family member needing $5,000 to leave. Since we will be starting our life from scratch outside Gaza, we will also need housing, electrical appliances, cooking utensils, education expenses, medicine, and health and psychological rehabilitation.
Every contribution, no matter how small, is important.
There is no donation too small. Every donation brings us one step closer to relief and a better future. Even if you are unable to contribute financially, sharing this campaign with your network can make a huge difference.
Thank you and gratitude:
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for your kind generosity. You can help us get through these difficult times.
she/her I'm in so many fandoms I've forgotten the name of most of them ๐ญ๐
