an: i beautifully drew some of readers hand signs in case you get confused… they’ll be seen along the way
The three first years all sat around Gojo, listening intently to what he was saying. Their guts churned and their hearts ached for the Jujutsu sorcerer, who masked his expression with an unwavering look as he spoke.
"She was perfect in every way, she was kind, she was gentle, she had a way with her words and actions, but little did I know how how horrible of a person—a monster she was...the Queen of Curses, almost as strong, if not stronger than Sukuna himself. It was too late before I realised who she was, what she was. It was hard to accept that everything had been a lie, her affection, her touch, everything, and at first she was a nobody, then a somebody. What's worse is I fell for her."
Nobara raised her hand, a chill running down her spine at Gojo's words. "I have to ask, how come you didn't sense her presence since she is a curse user?'"
A sigh left the silver haired sorcerer, as he leant back in his chair. "That's the thing, I don't know. Not even the higher ups had an explanation. She was an anomaly, and could obviously do things so strange it's hard to wrap your head around. I think she was able, somehow, to mask the sensation."
Nobara's head tilted to the side, her brows furrowed with thought. "And why did you have a relationship with her then? Surely there had to be some hint of danger there."
Gojo smiled. "I didn't know, god if I did? Maybe l'd be able to have stopped her, l mean, unlike Sukuna, she isn't contained," Gojo motioned towards Yuji. "She was pretty normal, and after spending a lot of time with her—since she used to teach here, I fell for her, and she... well what I thought, fell for me too.
Megumi had been quiet this whole time, stock still as he took in this information. "Where is she now?" He asked, glancing over to Yuji, hoping Sukuna would come out to answer, but no avail, before he looked back at Gojo.
Gojo he ran a hand through his snow white hair. "That's the tricky part," he said. He leaned back into his chair, crossing his ankles and clasping his hands together. "I don't know."
"Wait, wait, wait, if you said she's stronger than Sukuna, the—." Yuji's words got cut off as a mouth formed on his cheek.
"Watch it, brat. She isn't stronger than m—." Yuji slapped a hand over the mouth, muttering a short apology.
Gojo leaned forward, resting his chin on his hands, as he watched with a sly smile as Yuji fumbled with a few words, then went quiet. "No need to apologise, Itadori. In fact, I want to hear from Sukuna. Sukuna, did she have any correlations to you?"
Another mouth formed on the back of Yuji's hand, that still held his cheek. "Tch, no. As much as I know she's strong," Sukuna sighed. "I wouldn't work with someone who can overshadow me, I'm the King of Curses for christ’s sake!"
Gojo's smile grew wider, and Megumi's eyes widened. "Overlooked you? You underestimate her then." The white haired sorcerer leaned further back in his seat.
Sukuna grumbled something colourful. "If you're so damn invested in her, why don't you go and find her?"
Gojo let out a huff of laughter. "As if I've not tried?" He said, amused. He folded his arms, tapping his fingertips against his arm. "I've been searching for some decent time now, no leads."
"Pathetic." Sukuna mumbled before disappearing into Yuji's smooth skin.
"Ah, you're so mean." Gojo teased, a smirk on his face.
Nobara still had more to ask. "I know this might be a personal question but, do you have a photo of her? In case we find her if we don't sense her? Surely we should know who we're dealing with."
Gojo's smirk faltered at Nobara's question. His expression morphed into a guarded look as he reached inside his inner pocket and pulled out a small, wallet-sized picture.
"I still have this," he muttered. He looked down at the photo in his hand, staring off into the distance for a moment, lost in thought, before he looked back at the trio. "You should know that she looks completely different than you'd expect."
And Gojo was right, they expected to look at a woman who looked evil, who looked like she tore towns to shreds, something Gojo couldn't tell if he was so blindly in love, but no, instead they saw a beautiful woman standing next to their smitten sensei, a soft smile on her face.
How could you be such an impure woman? It made them shudder.
Gojo noticed the shock and disbelief in the expressions, the photo clutched in his hand. "I know it's hard to believe, that someone can look like that and be as twisted as she was." He took a slow, steadying breath, his hand clenching the photo a little tighter.
Yuji was still staring at the photo, a distant look in his eyes. He had seen you. He had seen the epitome of hell and evil herself. Worst of all, he was kind to you, and you were kind back. He quickly shook his head and schooled his featured with an easy look.
Gojo studied Yuji's expression, noticing his faraway look and the slightly forced appearance of his features. He knew his students well, and he could sense a slight unease in Yuji. He assumed it was because Yuji also couldn't believe why you turned out to be who you are, so he shrugged it off and pocketed the photo.
He cleared his throat. "Right, well, tomorrow I'm taking you three on a mission to fight some third grade curses and get one of Sukuna's fingers— his pinky of course!" He exclaimed, cracking his back as his mouth fell open in a yawn. "I don't know about you three, but I'm tired, so goodnight!"
"Yeah, we should definitely head off." Nobara agreed, gathering her things and standing up from her chair. A tired look was on Megumi's face as he stood up, stretching out his arms above his head.
The four dispersed and went to their rooms. Gojo arrived back in his room. Once he entered, he made a beeline for the bed and threw himself down on it. Exhaustion washed over him, and he let out a deep, long sigh.
Now the four walked under the dazzling sun, there was supposed to be the curse behind the coal factory, yet they didn't sense it. "Uh, are you sure it's supposed to be here?" Yuji asked, glancing at forest surrounding the rear of the factory.
Megumi, who was walking alongside Yuji, shrugged. "The higher ups said to check the factory. I'm sure the curse is there somewhere."
Nobara looked around the area, a suspicious look in her eyes. "This place is deserted. Are we sure something isn't up?"
Gojo hummed. "Well Sukuna's finger is supposed to be here, its presence is strong enough to lure in grade three curses or higher."
"True," Megumi said. He scanned the area with a focused look, his hand on his sword. "Something is definitely off here though."
Gojo tapped a finger on his chin as he thought. "Megumi and Nobara, you two check inside to locate the finger, Yuji you'll stay here and see if any curses or curse users come, I'm gonna go sit on that bench."
Megumi nodded at Gojo's directions, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Right. Got it," he turned to Nobara and pointed to a large doorway that led into the factory. "You can lead the way." He said.
The two disappeared, leaving Yuji to walk up and down. Gojo sprawled out on the bench, enjoying his moments rest.
The silence was almost deafening, but it was calming. Gojo closed his eyes, the tiredness of the day catching up to him. He leaned back comfortably onto the bench, stretching out his legs.
Yuji walked around the premises, looking for anything out of the ordinary. He was alert, on the lookout for any cursed energy. "Damnit," Yuji muttered, "Where are you?"
Gojo snickered as he watched Yuji, frustrated and seeking curses, trying to feel their presence but got nothing. He couldn't help but find Yuji's frustration somewhat amusing, so he just watched, lying back on the bench, a smirk on his face.
Yuji's frustration grew as he continued searching, but still, there was nothing. It was almost as if the area was void of cursed energy. "This is weird," he muttered to himself, looking around. "I mean, you wouldn't have known Sukuna's finger was here unless one of the higher ups told you. You can't even sense the finger," Megumi and Nobara emerged from the factory, looking around. Megumi tilted his head as he approached Yuji. "Any luck?" Yuji asked.
Nobara shook her head. "No, I don't sense any finger there, or even a trace of it. Something's off, if Sukuna's finger being here was correct. I can't even sense any small fries... it's like, like the sense of any curses has been hidden or covered."
Yuji swallowed, a worried expression settling on his face. "Wait, you don't think? I mean, Gojo, you said that no one knows why this happens, not even the higher ups, and we only know of one person capable of this... but it's impossible...right?"
Megumi hummed, a look of thought on his face. "It's possible," he said slowly. "But we don't have any concrete evidence, so we shouldn't jump to conclusions just yet."
Nobara nodded. "Yeah! Gojo and Sukuna said they don't even know where she is, she could be in Kyoto or something now."
Gojo shook his head, his voice drawing the attention of the others. "She wasn't one to meander far, even as powerful as she is."
Megumi and Nobara glanced at Gojo, their expressions serious. He was a lot more invested in the whole ordeal than he seemed to be, and they could sense the hint of worry in his tone.
Yuji looked a little worried. "But why would she stay here of all places?" He asked, confusion clear on his face.
Gojo shrugged. "She was always fond of Tokyo, it's where she had her best memories, or so she said."
There was a brief moment of silence amongst the trio, as they all processed the information. Megumi leaned against the wall, his chin resting on his fist, his brow furrowed in deep thought.
Gojo threw his arms up. "Ah, well. I say we call quits, it can be the second years's problem now," He said with a grin, beginning to follow the small path in the trees they came from. "I just wanna go back and eat some of those French pas—." Gojo stopped himself as he stumbled back, almost crashing into Megumi when he felt it.
When he felt you.
So you were here, and you had let your mask fall. Your sense so strong it almost pushed the strongest sorcerer to his knees.
Gojo slowly looked towards the source of the presence, his eyes widening slightly. The other three also turned to where this strong presence was coming from. Gojo's breath hitched in his chest. His stomach did a flip as his eyes widened further. "I can feel it," he said, his voice barely a whisper. "It's her." He took a step forward, his body tense as his eyes searched, trying to catch a glimpse of you.
"It's who?" Your voice came out from behind the four, it was as calm as you were described to be, you stood with your hands clasped and a beautiful dress, one that wasn't from this era at least.
Gojo spun around, his eyes landing on you. "You." He sneered, an edge to his voice. He couldn't believe it— you were really here. You stood there, as calm and poised as ever.
Megumi's eyes widened as he saw you, surprise and confusion on his face. Nobara was gaping at you, a look of shock plastered on her face. As for Yuji, he just stared at you, a mix of worry and uncertainty in his eyes.
"You three, get behind me and stay close, now." Gojo sneered, raising two fingers, ready to attack. The three immediately took his advice, moving to hide behind him. Gojo's eyes narrowed, his face hardening as he faced you. His muscles were tense, ready to move.
"Oh, don't be so haste towards me. I'm merely stopping by." You said, with a tilt of your head and a smile on your lips.
Gojo gritted his teeth, frustration evident in his expression. He clenched his hands into tight fists, his patience running thin. "What are you doing here?" He asked, his voice low and stern.
There was a wind that blew your hair to the side, and the silks of your clothes. "It's a beautiful day out, no? Remember when we'd take walks on days like these, Toru?" You asked, glancing at the dancing sun specks on the dirt path.
Gojo's jaw tightened, a pang of emotion shooting through him at your words. He took a deep breath, his eyes flickering with a mix of pain and anger. "Don't call me that." He seethed, his voice laced with bitterness.
You gave him a small frown. "Is someone still mad at me? Come on, Toru. It's been, what? Six years?" You ask, taking a step closer, your eyes settling on the pink hair behind him. "Friend?" You gasped, staring at Yuji.
Gojo felt his blood boiling with each word that came out of your mouth. He turned partially, his gaze flickering between you and the younger, a protective look on his face. "Don't look at him." Gojo snapped.
Megumi and Nobara looked equally as tense, their eyes darting between the two of you. Yuji on the other hand, looked completely lost, mock confusion written all over his face. "Friend?" He repeated dumbly.
"Yes friend, dummy. You were the one who helped me pick up my oranges when they fell, how clumsy of me to not hold the bag right." You giggled, eyes closing at the short yet fond memory.
Yuji gulped. "U-Uh, right. That day..." he trailed off, ignoring the confused look the others gave him. Gojo's expression darkened further, his fists clenching even tighter as you continued speaking. He shot Yuji a warning look, silently telling him to keep quiet.
"I do hope to see you one day again, maybe then I would make you my delicious orange cake! Toru used to love it so much, isn't that right?" You ask, turning to face the sorcerer.
Gojo's jaw trembled slightly as he met your gaze. The memory of the delicious cake you used to make him filled his mind, a bittersweet taste flooding his senses. He took a sharp breath, trying to shake off the memories and focus on the present. "You're just full of pleasantries, aren't you?" He countered, his voice strained.
"What? You didn't like my baking? How mean, Toru. And to think of all I baked for you, or when you'd help me in the kitchen and then we'd..." you began, a blush dusting your cheeks. "Whoops! There's children here."
Gojo gritted his teeth as you continued speaking, your reminiscing bringing back more memories that he had tried to forget. His knuckles turned white from how tightly he was clenching them."Watch it," he warned, his voice low. "Don't bring up the past."
You told your chin to the side, a sad pout pulling at your lips. "I miss you, Toru. Why don't you come back to me?"
The pain in your voice tugged at his heart strings, and he felt himself falter. He looked at you, a mixture of anger and sadness in his eyes. "Don't try to manipulate me," he said, trying to maintain his composure. "You can't just waltz back into my life like nothing happened."
"Nothing did happen!"
Gojo's anger flared up at your words, his eyes narrowing. "Are you serious?" he demanded, taking a step towards you. “Nothing happened? You just left without a word, without any explanation, and you dare to look me in the face and tell me 'nothing happened'?"
You grumbled, blood simmering in your veins. "I'm sorry that I had urgent stuff to attend. But everything's fine now, I'm strong, Toru. Can't you see? Aren't you happy for me?"
Gojo scoffed, his jaw twitching with anger. "Happy for you? Happy that you went off and left me behind without a word? Happy that you're now a curse user? Yeah, I'm just over the moon." He said bitterly.
"Don't be like that. I was at level four when I met you, and now? Now I'm off the charts, baby. Just like we've always wanted, don't you want to be strong like me?" You asked, sticking a hand out for him to take, even if there was a good few meters between the two of you.
Gojo tensed at the sight of your hand, his eyes flickering from your outstretched hand to your face. He felt conflicted, a mixture of anger and longing warring within him. "You think just because you're strong now, it means anything to me?" He snapped.
"Does it not?" You mumbled, feeling your brow twitch.
Gojo clenched his jaw, his hands balling up into tight fists at his sides. "Don't be naïve," he shot back, his voice icy. "Being strong means little when you've abandoned the people who care about you."
You clicked your tongue. "Being strong means everything when you leave the people who would only hold me back, Toru." You curled your fingers up and crossed your arms, feeling rather upset.
Gojo felt a pang of hurt at your words. "Hold you back?" He echoed, incredulous. "I was never holding you back. I pushed you to be stronger, to be better. And what did you do? You left without a trace, then came back as something so vile you'd think it was indispensable ."
"I left to be stronger, and now I rule over all curses. I'm unstoppable."
Gojo's eyes narrowed at your words, a mixture of anger and disbelief etched all over his face. "Is that what you tell yourself?" He scoffed, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "You left because you wanted to be stronger? Do you really believe that? Or are you just trying to justify your cowardice?"
"You're really starting to upset me, Toru. And I don't like being upset, so once again, I say, I left to be strong, and now I'm the strongest." You huffed, folding your arms over your chest.
Gojo's patience was wearing thin. "Oh, I'm upsetting you?" He asked, his voice raising. "How about you think about how I feel, huh? I wasted years of my life chasing after you, thinking you had been killed. But no, you just abandoned me, and now you come back in here like nothing happened."
The other three were completely silent, their eyes darting between themselves and the intense exchange. Gojo and you were engaged in a shouting match, your words cutting into each other like knives.
Yuji stood there, a mixture of confusion and unease on his face. He felt uncomfortable witnessing this fight between the two of you, unsure of what to say or do.
"I'm not an enemy, baby. I never was," you mutter, taking steps towards Gojo. "Why would you say such to me?"
Gojo stood his ground, his eyes locked on yours as you took a few steps closer. "You're a curse user," he spat, his voice steady. "You're no longer a person, you're a monster. And yet, here you are, standing in front of me, acting like nothing has changed."
"Do I look like a monster?" You nearly growled, now a few feet away from the lot.
Gojo's eyes flickered over your figure, taking in the sight of you. You looked almost the same, your gentle features only slightly sharper than they were before. But he could see the darkness lurking behind the surface. "You may not look like a monster," Gojo said slowly, his voice measured. "But you're far removed from the person I once knew."
"Yes, and it's better this way. I'm not some pushover I once was. I'm not weak, or ill-fated. I'm who I was born to be."
Gojo clenched his jaw tightly, his eyes never leaving yours. "And what, exactly, were you destined to be, hmm?" he asked, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "A monster? A killer? A destroyer?"
You shook your head. "Enough already, I'm trying my best not to hurt you, and I don't want to hurt you." You screwed your eyes shut, trying to settle your emotions.
Gojo watched as you struggled to control yourself, your words hanging heavy in the air. He could see the effort it was taking you to restrain your power, and it tugged at his heartstrings. But his anger and bitterness didn't wane. "You don't want to hurt me?" He repeated, his voice laced with disbelief.
Your eyes fluttered shut. "Not physically, anyways, but that might have to change." You idly raised your hands.
Gojo's eyes widened slightly as you raised your hands, his body going tense. He instinctively took a step back, his senses on high alert. Megumi, Nobara and Yuji were watching the exchange with bated breaths, their eyes darting back and forth between you and Gojo.
You glanced at the first years. "Oh, don't worry you three, I won't kill your precious sensei... at least not in front of you," you gave them a small smile, before uncurling your fists and pressing the bottoms of your palms together. "Domain expansion; Lotus!"
Yuji screamed, but it was too late before a giant orb swallowed you and Gojo up, sealing the other three out.
Meantime on the inside or the orb was a vast, and endless realm. The floors rippled with dark blue waters, and the sky was a dark abyss. Giant lotus flowers bloomed everywhere— yet they emitted this gas that would daze any who'd go near. In the centre was a giant lotus, its petals peeled back to reveal you, perched on the bud.
Your malicious laugh echoed through the domain. "How I'd never expected to see you here, Toru," you spoke, gliding down a petal as you trekked towards the sorcerer. "It's a shame, really."
Gojo stood in the center of the infinite dark realm, his eyes flickering around, taking in the expanse of your Domain. He was wary, knowing that the other side of this was your own twisted world, the place you'd been trapped in for years. "What a shame, indeed," he said gruffly, his voice steady. "I never would've thought that l'd end up here, face to face with you."
"Yes, and now you're going to die."
Gojo couldn't help but scoff a little at your threat. The arrogance was almost comical, but he knew better than to take it seriously. He crossed his arms, his eyes locked on your figure. "Oh, really now? And pray tell, how exactly do you plan to kill me?"
"Easily, I am stronger than you." You spoke, slowly circling Gojo, feet gliding through the shallow waters.
Gojo's eyes followed your every movement as you glided around him, the arrogance you exuded only increasing his annoyance. He raised an eyebrow at your confidence. "You think so, do you?" he asked, his voice laced with skepticism. "You really believe you're stronger than me, even after all this time?"
"I do, I really do, I've learnt a lot during... my time way."
Gojo's jaw tightened as you spoke, a look of disbelief crossing his face. "Learnt a lot?" he mimicked, his voice tinged with mockery. "You think a few years in solitude are enough to surpass me?"
You shrug. "There's only one way to find out," you said, in a sing-song voice. You stretched out one hand, spreading your middle and ring finger apart while your other hand splayed out behind it. "I believe you haven't met my Shikihami? Kitsune!"
A blinding light formed beside you before the giant nine tailed fox leaped out, its white fur decorated with red markings, its jaw snapping. It growled and yelped, before it launched from its haunches and charged straight at Gojo.
Gojo's eyes widened in surprise as the nine-tailed fox bounded over to him, the sheer size and ferocity of the creature momentarily taken aback even him. He quickly regained his composure, however, and raised two fingers. "Curse reversal technique: Red!"
A saturated ball of red light beamed from his fingers before it exploded, sending you and Kitsune flying away. You gasped in surprise before you managed to grab onto the thick stem of a lotus, using that to ground you.
Gojo waited a few seconds before taking a cautious step forward, his eyes scanning the surrounding area. "Not bad," he commented, his voice laced with grudging respect. "You've got some powerful Shikigami."
The fox managed to stop itself before barrelling forward. "Get him!" You yelled after the fox, gaining your footing again before you lifted up fingers and sent a change of cursed energy to Gojo's way.
Gojo was quick to react, his Six Eyes allowing him to sense the incoming attack. He immediately raised his arms, creating a protective barrier using cursed energy. "That's your best shot?" He taunted, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips. Gojo's smirk faded as he watched the massive lotus flower make its way towards him, closing in rapidly. He tensed, his Six Eyes allowing him to sense the exact moment to dodge.
He dashed to the side, narrowly avoiding the impact, the flower smashing into the waters behind him. You groaned out, doing the same for two more flowers, simultaneously, before your fists bashed together, the flowers now heading for each other, with Gojo in their way, no doubt to crush him.
Gojo's eyes widened at the sheer speed and precision of your technique catching him off guard. He knew he had to react quickly to avoid being caught in the collision, but the moment you slammed your fists together, he realized the dilemma.
Gojo quickly muttered a chant before he teleported a few meters away, the flowers colliding precisely in his place, crushing the area where he had stood just moments earlier. He raised a hand, and you watched a blue light glow from his palm before he disappeared again. He was right behind you in the blink of an eye, his voice close to your ear.
"I do have my own tricks," he said, his tone smug. "Curse reversal technique: Lapse." He chanted, placing a hand near you before you felt a hard pull, sending you flying towards him before he chanted again, then sent you flying back.
You failed to catch yourself, quickly raising your pinky and index finger. "Oni!" You yell, watching as the red, ogre like demon emerged through the waters, sending drops of water and rubble to fall back, before it ran towards Gojo, your nine tailed fox following. Gojo reacted quickly, a barrier of cursed energy surging to life between him and the oni. The demon's charge met a hard force, stopping it in its tracks.
"Really?" Gojo said, a hint of annoyance in his voice. "Another Shikigami?"
Your breath was knocked from your lungs when you made contact with the ground, back aching when you stood up, a scowl on your lips. Your palm sliced through the air, "Devine Lotus, take me there." You muttered, watching as the giant lotus extend a vine that reached for you, then wrapped firmly around your torso before raising you, managing to keep you upright before hurtling you to Gojo, you already had another curse to send his way.
Gojo watched the giant lotus lift you up into the air, a look of surprise on his face. He was taken aback by your use of the technique, but quickly regained his composure. As you were being hurled towards him, Gojo prepared himself, creating another barrier to protect himself from the incoming attack.
Your Oni and Kitsune lay in black puddles by his feet. It caused your anger to bubble, you pinched your middle finger and thumb together, yelling out a curse which caused a vine to strike out. Gojo let out a pained gasp as the vine pierced his leg, the pain shooting through him like fire. He stumbled, his knee buckling momentarily. He clutched his leg, a look of surprise and anger on his face.
Gojo had an idea, one that he had no idea if it worked, he quickly sent another 'Red' your way, this time only pushing you back slightly before his index and middle finger crossed over each other. Gojo took a deep breath before speaking, "Domain expansion; Infinite Void."
You were caught off guard by the sudden surge of power as Gojo unleashed his domain expansion. The Infinite Void appeared before you, its sheer weight of information crashing down on you.
You found yourself in the realm of infinite knowledge, bombarded with a rush of endless, overwhelming information. Your mind raced to make sense of the chaos around you, but it was like trying to catch a rainbow in a net.
You blinked, hard, yet it didn't make sense. If you turned your head slightly, you could still see your domain. Was Gojo not strong enough for his domain to surpass yours? Were you not strong enough for his to not form?
Gojo was watching you intently, his eyes never leaving yours as the domain expanded around you. He noticed the slight movement of your head, the way you glanced towards your own domain. He raised an eyebrow, a hint of challenge in his gaze. "Still there?" he said, his voice laced with sardonic humor. "You seem a bit distracted."
"How..? Impossible..." you mutter, feeling the tightness from the lotus vine go away, the vine falling to the floor, but never leaving. "Eurgh! You bastard!"
Gojo smirked as he heard you mutter, your surprise at the situation evident in your tone. He took a few steps closer, his eyes narrowing slightly. "What's the matter? Not used to losing control?" He chuckled, his voice laced with mockery. If you dared to turn around completely, you'd see your domain was still there, yet somewhere along the seams, it met his.
"You always have to try one up people, and that's a shitty thing to do." You groan, taking a step towards Gojo.
Gojo watched as you took a step towards him, his expression remaining nonchalant. He chuckled at your comment, a smirk playing on his lips. "You know me too well," he replied, his voice tinged with a hint of humor. "I can't help it; competition is in my blood."
"You're really starting to piss me off," you grumble, taking staggering steps towards him, until your palm hit his chest. "Curse abduction, Red." You mutter, joe obtaining his quirk (Gojo still has his), before a red void swelled under your palm, then burst, sending Gojo flying away.
Gojo lost his balance for a moment, skidding across the ground before regaining his footing. He dusted himself off, annoyance now clear on his face. He gritted his teeth, his eyes fixed on you. "Now you're just getting reckless." He growled.
Gojo took a few moments to recover, shaking his head as he stood up. He clenched and unclenched his fists, his gaze flickering over the domain expansion before turning to you once again.
"I underestimated you," he admitted, his voice softer now. "But I'm not going to lose that easily."
"Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! Just die already!" You yell, sending an onslaught of thick vines— stretching all the way from your domain, his way. Some managed to grab his limbs while others were fended off.
Gojo, having recovered from the earlier attack, was surprised by the sudden attack of vines. He frantically tried to dodge and defend himself, but some managed to snag his limbs, slowing his movements.
He grit his teeth, frustration beginning to show on his face. He sent a blast of cursed energy towards the incoming vines, trying to break free.
You heaved, tired and worked out, a trickle of blood dripped from your nose, you wiped it off with the back of your hand. "And now, my dear Toru. You'll die in your own domain," you heaved, clasping your hands together. "Rattle the bones, rise from the abyss! Destroy all who stands before me! Gashadokuro!"
Gojo's eyes widened as your words echoed through the domain, realization dawning on him. The sudden change in atmosphere, the growing tension, it all clicked into place.
He clenched his teeth, the situation suddenly growing more precarious. "No," he muttered. "You wouldn't..." He couldn't finish his sentence before monstrous sized bones rose from the ground, a rib cage, each bone the size of a skyscraper, then the spine, until finally Gojo stared into the hallow sockets of the skull, its teeth chattering and jaw snapping as it crashed onto him.
Gojo was caught off guard for a brief moment, too stunned to react. Then, with a burst of cursed energy, he attempted to create a shield other than infinite, desperately trying to withstand the impact of the Gashadokuro crashing down on him.
You quickly ran over, watching the bones worm their way into the ground, hopefully taking Gojo with.
He was caught between a rock and a hard place. The bones were rapidly sinking into the ground, effectively trapping him below the surface. He struggled and strained, using every ounce of his cursed energy to try and break free, but the grip of the bones held firm. His mind raced, trying to find a way out of the predicament, but it seemed hopeless at the moment.
"No, no, no, can't lose now..." Gojo grumbled, he knew what he had to do, yet he was holding it back for some reason. He quickly folded one hand over the palm of the other. "Phase twilight, eyes of wisdom, nine ropes...polarised light...crow declaration...between front and back. Hallow Purple!" As Gojo finished muttering the words, a new surge of cursed energy surged through him. It seemed he had come up with a plan in his moment of helplessness.
He closed his eyes, concentrating his energy on the technique he was about to unleash. A moment later, a blinding light enveloped the area, followed by a colossal blast of energy that tore through the earth and sent the Gashadokuro to shatter into shards. It was a power that echoed throughout the domain, the sheer force of it causing tremors.
Gojo stumbled for a moment, the aftershock of the attack leaving him a little unsteady on his feet. For a moment, he just stood there, his chest heaving, as he surveyed the scene before him. He was breathing hard, but he was alive, and still standing.
The skeleton lay in tiny pieces, a result of simultaneously being vacuumed and pushed away from itself.
Gojo stood there, watching as the shattered pieces of the skeleton scattered across the ground. He wiped the sweat from his brow, his breathing slowly returning to normal.
Your scream came from behind, no doubt ready to attack. Gojo quickly spun, his instincts honing in on your presence behind him. Before you could launch an attack, he quickly spun and seized your wrist, yanking you forward and flinging you to the ground. He took a moment to analyze the situation, his eyes flickering with a mixture of concern and focus.
With your cursed energy now directed elsewhere, he was able to maintain a slight advantage, but he was still wary, waiting for your next move.
"Let...go... of..me!" You squirmed im his grasp, sending weak volts up his arm.
Gojo grunted as you sent weak jolts of energy up his arm. He tightened his grip on your wrist, not letting up his hold on you. "Nice try," he said, his voice steady. "But I'm not letting you go that easily." You watched as he raised his other hand, it buzzed and glowed with light.
He was going to kill you.
Gojo eyes narrowed further, his mind preparing for the imminent attack. "This is it," he muttered. "I'm not holding back."
"You can't do this...to me." You muttered, staring at his covered eyes.
Gojo paused for a moment, hearing the pleading tone in your voice. He had been so focused on the fight, on the imminent threat, that he had forgotten the personal nature of this confrontation. His grip on your wrist loosened slightly, a flicker of doubt crossing his expression for just a moment.
"Without me doing it first!" You yelled, freeing from his grasp before your hand wrapped around his bicep, mustering all your energy as you could before you landed the final and fatal blow... except you'd have your own doomed destiny.
You didn't see Gojo's other hand that went for your head, nor did you hear him mutter a chant, not until it was too late. Not until you were blinded... or until you lost hearing...
Time seemed to slow dow, mind struggling to process what was happening. But then, just as quickly, Gojo realised what was coming your way. He heard you say something, but he couldn't quite make out what it was. His mind was clouded, his hearing fading, his vision blurred— and then nothing, nothing at all when he screamed in agony.
Gojo, was dead,
and you had died with him.
The two of you were almost broken down to nothing but a few bones and embers as your domains crumbled away, slowly bringing you to the outside world, the three first years tried to open the domains through the outside, but failed.
There was a gasp, then a sob, then Yuji falling to his knees at the mess. Their loved sensei was dead. The strongest and greatest sorcerer was dead. And you were to blame.
Nobara turned to Megumi, burying her face im his chest as she cried, while Megumi tried to remain calm, yet his bottom lip wobbled and his eyes glazed over with tears.
There was a heavy set of footsteps coming their way. "What happened? I got you call, and I...," the words seemed to die on Nanami's tongue when he saw the sight in front of him. "What happened?" He asked, firmly, though he was too afraid to hear the answer.
He looked over the scene in front of him, taking in the sight of the shattered domain, the broken bones scattered across the ground, and the absence of their fearless teacher. He swallowed hard.
"What happened here...?" Nanami repeated, his voice filled with a sense of dread.
Yuji managed to speak through his wrecked sobs. "Gojo he... he tried to fight her for us... to protect us but he..." Nanami watched as Yuji fought through his own grief to speak, his voice thick with tears.
"He tried..." Nanami echoed, the realization setting in. His jaw clenched, his expression hardening as he absorbed the truth of the situation.
There was a heavy silence that fell over the group as everyone processed Yuji's words. The weight of the truth hung in the air like a heavy fog, settling over them all.
Nanami couldn't find the words to respond, his mind struggling to come to terms with what he had just heard. He let out a broken sigh. "Come now, let's take you back to Jujutsu High, I'll talk to the higher ups."
A journey of several hours passed before they all arrived at Jujutsu High, the campus looking just as peaceful as ever. The sound of birds chirping filled the air, and the sun sat high in the blue sky, casting a warm glow across the grounds.
Nanami led the group towards the main building, the silence between them weighing heavy. They arrived at the doors, and Nanami pushed them open, revealing the familiar surroundings of the school inside. The group entered the building, the doors closing behind them with a soft thud. The corridors were just as spotless and silent as they had been when they left, not a sound breaking the peace.
It wasn't going to be the same, and it never was. Not only was their education in jeopardy, so was the fate of the world, yes there were other sorcerers almost as strong as Gojo, but it wasn't the same.
In the years that followed, the world didn't feel the same without Gojo. The other sorcerers they had, while powerful in their own right, paled in comparison to the strength of Gojo.
The balance of power had shifted, and the jujutsu world seemed almost...despondent. Without Gojo's presence, it felt as though there was a vacuum, a void left to fill.
The future, that once seemed as sure as a sunrise, was now clouded with uncertainty. The weight of the world was on the shoulders of others, and it was a heavy burden to bear.
And then, on one random afternoon, did a student stroll through the Jujutsu High's doors. Hair as white as snow, something about him was familiar yet unfamiliar.
Walking through the doors of Jujutsu High, a new face entered the school. The students around him paused, some doing a double take, as they noticed the white hair. It was as though they had seen it before, yet there was something strangely unfamiliar about it.
The old principle, Yaga, was sewing strings into his puppets when he heard the footsteps and looked up. "Halt, and who might you be?"
The young boy turned to face Yaga, an easy smile on his lips. "I'm Satoshi L/n, sir." The boy bowed, hair falling over his eyes.
Yaga was taken aback, he looked almost identical to Gojo, especially his hair, but he carried your last name? Could this be...? No, impossible!
You and Gojo had a son, and Gojo didn't know. And now Satoshi was going the be the worlds strongest everything.
