I’m drawing the new poster/fanart for Stamps & Sleepless Nights. 🌙

⚡️A little on my creative process: in trad art I feel more in my element. In this case it’s going to be a complex illustration so I decided to refine on color. I used a blue Prismacolor (ran out of nano-dia erasable leads for my mechanical pencil) and starting doing really fast shapes for the body structures. I wanted have the position first, then create the anatomical perspective of the characters and made some really basic details. For this first sketch, my main goal was to have defined the position and some detail on the hair that is defined by position, too. On my next rounds (some still in this sheet, other rounds on a new paper) I’ll clean up everything more and add some more details.

I’m thinking about doing a trad art version and a digital one⚡️

I wanted to take today off the computer, been going through ups and downs with writing for the past weeks. When I think my inspiration it’s better, it’s not…and it doesn’t help reading certain stuff. So thought it would be better drawing traditionally and listen to music ✌️✨✨✨

this is officially PART 1 tune in for more!!

yuri on ice hits so deep for me bc how it portrays a story abt reigniting one’s passion. w alot of sports animes a big aspect of the story is making ur way up from the very bottom - (which don’t get me wrong, i absolutely LOVE), but the professional level is is usually the conclusion. the end goal. but in truth, as obvious it may be, professionals are still human. they can and will make mistakes and theres that added pressure of supposedly being the best in their field which only adds to the crushing weight of their passion.

yuuri katsuki is already a well established, professional figure skater (despire how he may describe himself). but he’s at a loss. he’s suffered a crushing defeat and made plenty mistakes and he’s reached a point in his life where he’s unsure of how much further his passion will take him. hes loved figure skating, always has, but that love has begun to dwindle inside of him as his insecurities and anxiety takes over.

but the comes viktor. he comes into his life, and things begin to change. he finds love again. for his sport - the art he’s been cultivating since he was a child, for the people around him, family and friends, understanding just how much they have been and will continue to support him, and of course, for viktor. slowly, but surely, he’s changed.

and when i watch him, i can’t help but feel like i’ve changed a little too

This is the first of three aesthetic boards that I have made! I haven’t had to time to make one before now and that upsets me because this is such a fantastic series (if somewhat tear-inducing).

Tried to do a 90's style like from this posters of Resident Evil - Katsuki Yuuri with Jill Valentine's outfit ❤️‍🔥 for a Resident Evil + #YuriOnIce crossover. Played a lot with the saturation and hard contrasts, for that 90's vibe. It was fun! ⚡️🧟

Well, I fulfilled a crossover with the two things I love the most: Yuri On Ice and Resident Evil 💗⚡️⚡️⚡️ AND FEELS FREAKING AMAZING. Might repeat it next year, just to see how much I’ve improved. And because who else will give you this strange crossover, than me? ✨🫢

Yuri’s mouth is trembling, his eyes too bright, reflecting the lights in the city below like a thousand points of open flame. For an awful, yawning moment, Victor thinks he might step a little too far to his right, get a little too close. He’s reasonably certain there’s a forcefield up here, but he doesn’t know.

For @farashasilver‘s fic for the Big Bang!!! on Ice, Glitter and Gold. It might not be obvious in what I drew but it’s a Hunger Games AU, Victor and Yuri centric.
