I'm trying not to freak out about DC but everything about the situation is just... Questionable?? The white house goes dark and then the rest of the capital? Protestors who left earlier in the night can't get in touch with people who were still on the ground. DC deployed 1000s of officers and the national guard?? Why is the media silent when DC was literally on fire??

dogs were deployed in buffalo, new york. i remember when dogs were deployed at standing rock as well. please educate yourselves about how to deal with dogs while they are attacking, as well as the wounds after (which have a high chance of infection). offer a dog your non-dominant arm and hit its shoulders (not head) with your dominant hand. pull dogs off fellow protesters by grabbing their hind legs, pulling, and throwing them as far as possible from both of you. you can’t outrun a dog, but this will buy you time to find safety.

if you know any local street medics, check in with them about this very real possibility at your local protests so that they can educate themselves and others about dog bites.

i want to be soft again but i have so much anger in me 

so today is bad i just got off the phone with my sister and she told me that the plumbing is so bad in our NYC house that they’ve been shitting in plastic bags, taking showers with cold water and washing the dishes both in the back yard, spitting toothpaste in the garbage, basically unable to use water and i have no words to how much this breaks my heart like i can’t believe they’re living like that and our abusive father is literally going to let them live like that i cant stop crying
