Okay Ima be honest-

When I first watched acolyte, I wasn't too confident in it for a handful of reasons. The premise seemed interesting tho (Im a sucker for mystery thrillers lol) but the script, acting and other aspects had me feeling offish about the show, especially ep 3. HOWEVER Lee Jung-jae (Sol), Jecki and the fighting scenes (way better than the Ahsoka show s o r r y) from the trailer kept me going.

Im one of the stupid viewers that didn't really connect the dots until episode 4 but I had doubts watching episode 5 when Osha said her mother could get into Jedi's heads like Zipper dude was doing BUT IHUDJWIUDJWIJDIWJIOAJ

For me and some other people Manny Jacinto saved the series. Every scene he was in during/after the fights were tense and had me on the edge of my seat. Especially his scenes with Lee, their the best actors in the show (my opinion don't kill me ;-;).

But yeah like many, I'm head over heels for the sexy, no chill at all villian and probably Sol too since it seems like he's got his own *ahem* DARKNESS *ahem*.

TL;DR: I had many doubts about the show but episode 5 was the best episode for me. Still have doubts and issues but the episode made me more hopeful. Manny Jaciento and Lee Jung-jae's backs must hurt from carrying this episode. They had great chemistry (platonic, they're trying to kill eachother ;-;). Also a Qimir-based appreciation post :D.

Thank the YouTube recommendation gods for showing me this MASTERPICE OF A PILOT I've watched it 4 times now. I decided to try and do headshots of the characters from the pilot of lackadaisy so to start we have Miss Pepper and Freckles! Rocky and Miss M are next and I'll color them once I'm done if I can

I would also like to say that the Ivy, Freckle and Rocky were very good representations of how my three braincells act on a daily basis :D

BIT OF A SPOILER FOR THE HELLUVA BOSS EPISODE TODAY

Near the end of the episode, when Mammon is threatening Fizz. You see Mammons sigil in the back of Fizzie BUT FOR LIKE A SPLIT SECOND (Had to put it in 0.25x speed for this)

Just got ibis paint recently (don't judge) and I decided to draw some eyes. Any critics or tips? (Please be a bit gentle)

LATE AS ALWAYS TO THE PARTY BUT THE LOKI EPISODE HAD MY HISTORY LOVING BRAIN GEEKING

Okay so the episode is called "1893". The episode starts in 1863 I believe where Renslayer and Miss Minutes the psycho clock dropped off the TVA guidebook to Victor. That was actually a really good time to drop off the book because the Second Industrial revolution starts at around 1870. I say he was around 13 or 15 years old in the first scene so he would be in his early 20's when the industrial revolution kicks in. A young inventor who has the knowledge of a whole class of inventions he can create during a time where innovation and new technology was the best way to make a name for yourself is a great way to start his character in my opinion (Also a lot of African American inventors were applying for patents and creating inventions like Madam CJ Walker, George Washington Carter and Lewis Latmer to name some well known ones.)

Basically the time period for the episode was perfect for Victor. Everyone was racing to make the next big thing, make something that was never seen before and Victor had the TVA guidebook and his mind to completely wipe the floor clean with them. But as he said in the episode, he was limited by the technology available at the time.

ALSO a small thing I noticed when watching the episode was that the guy who tried to 'scam' Victor into giving him the patent rights (I think). If you have the captions on, he's called "Robber Baron". No, that's not his name, it's actually a nickname made around the time of the 2nd Industrial Revolution. It referred to business men who gained their wealth from exploiting people/employees and used corrupt business practices. Business men like John Rockefeller, John Jacob Astor, Andrew Carnegie and Leland Stanford were all called this. The name was originally from medieval Europe and was about feudal lords who would tax his people heavily and in some cases rob travelers :D

Kind of a hint to the audience that the guy is a shit bag before he even shows he's a shit bag. The deal he struck with Victor made me and my dad both think of the deal Tesla made with Edison.
