Two nights ago I turned on my game and decided to see what Geoffrey would authentically lead me to in Strangerville. Originally my plan was to have him gather evidence, complete a dossier, and get inside a lab where he may or may not have been consumed by the mother plant, but I didn't want to do heavy storytelling. I decided to just play and get some ideas because sometimes that spikes up my creativity more especially since I just wanted this to largely be gameplay.
When I first switched to Geoffrey he was on the verge of death in San Myshuno. Lowkey took this as foreshadowing, but I got him dressed and sent him on his way.
I decide to go to Strangerville's library to have him ask civilians about their awareness of the town. However Geoffrey...was watching a sexual act between Katrina Caliente and Marcus Flex.
I won't tolerate this behavior, so I send Geoffrey outdoors to find more upstanding people. An infected sim is walking around, so I have Geoffrey speak to him.
'Consume the fruit of the mother and know peace.'
Now, despite being lead detective we can all agree that Geoffrey is not the smartest guy around, right? Which had the gears in my head turning, like: "is my Geoffrey going to be willing to examine the fruit, and take a bite of it?" After a few moments I decided yes. Yes he is.
i've been working on this legacy challenge on and off for months now and it's finally here! i really made this because i wanted to play something like it. but i thought it'd be fun to share for anyone else who might be interested. if you do play, feel free to tag me. i would love to see your journeys 🥹 there are too many words for a tumblr post, so you'll have to check out the google doc. the general rules as well as a link to the "deck" and dice roller will be under the cut!
Click here for the Tarot Legacy Challenge
Start with a single founder in a new save.
Each generation follows the theme of a Major Arcana Tarot card, completing its unique goals and embracing the fate of the tarot card pulled.
Each heir must fulfill their generation’s goals before passing onto the next.
You may draw your Tarot card for the next generation when the first heir is born. You are welcome to choose any of your current heir’s children to be the next generation’s heir.
This challenge will include all packs so feel free to modify to fit your needs when necessary. This was created with Life & Death as the most recent expansion pack. As new packs release, you are more than welcome to modify the rules for the new content.
Play on any lifespan and with any mods or cheats you’d like– whatever makes the challenge more fun for you, have at it. Add any little twists that you’d like to spice up gameplay. If you want to use different traits/aspirations/careers than listed, go for it! Again, whatever you feel fits your playstyle best. Just try your best to stay aligned with the Tarot theme of that generation.
You can play as many or as few generations of this legacy challenge as you’d like. You don’t have to play all 22 generations. I would recommend a minimum of 5 just to make it a “legacy” – but follow your intuition 😌✨🔮

Transcript below the cut:
Iris: Wait...
Iris: Oh no.
Ezra: Good morning. Iris: We need to talk. Ezra: Oh. Okay. Should I be worried? Iris: I don’t know.
Ezra: What is it? Iris: I’m late. Ezra: Like late late? Iris: [nods]
Ezra: How late? Iris: Enough to worry. Like four weeks. Ezra: … Iris: Will you say something?
Ezra: What do we do? Iris: I should probably take a test. Ezra: Right, um, I’ll get dressed and we can go pick one up. Iris: Okay. Ezra: Do you have any idea what you want to do? If it’s positive, I mean.
Iris: I can go to the clinic. It’s early enough, I’m sure we have options. Ezra: [nods] Is that what you want? Iris: That’s the sensible thing, right? I mean, we’ve only been dating for a few months. Do we really want to jump into raising a child together?
Ezra: What if we did? Would that be the worst thing? Iris: I don’t know. Are you just saying that because you’re against abortions or something? Ezra: No. If that’s what you want to do, then you have my full support. I will be by your side the whole time. But, if that’s not what you want, then I support that too. And I will be by your side the whole time.
Iris: Maybe I should take a test first, and then we can talk about this when it feels less… hypothetical. Ezra: Sure. We can do that.
Ezra: Well? Iris: [nods] I’m pregnant. Ezra: Wow. Okay. How are you feeling?
Iris: Are you still on board with keeping it? This is your chance to change your mind. Ezra: If you want to keep it, then yes, I’m 100% on board. Iris: You’re sure?
Ezra: The timing is not ideal, I admit, there’s still a lot we don’t know about each other yet. But there are three things I do know: I know we both want kids; I know you’re already an amazing mom; and I know that I love you. So, yes, I’m sure.
Iris: I love you too.
