1st I would like to talk about the topic “They are friends”.

It was never stated that they were actually friends. Yes Seam said that he perhaps or perhaps not thought of him as a friend but he never stated that they actually were.

2nd We don’t fully know what their relationship was like before he became insane. We do know that they were companions during performances but maybe think about that Jevil became so insane and so chaotic when he met the knight. It doesn’t mean that he was this chaotic before all that. He could’ve been actually a lot calmer.

Now we come to the part where a lot of you think that the ship doesn’t make sense since Seam is a lot different. He is actually not. Seam became depressed after he locked up Jevil and seeing him become this insane. He also doesn’t mind causing or seeing chaos and would even celebrate the end of the world with the player.

Also a very important part many misunderstood is, that Seam had to lock him up because he became insane. That’s not really stated either. Seam never said he himself choose to lock him up because of that reason. He was forced to. We don’t know if the Kings asked him to lock him up or if he fought back or not but he himself didn’t choose to lock up his jester companion.
