one big thing in the Obito lives au is I don't think Obito and Sakura ACTAULLY try to hide their shennanigans or involment therein even a little. they'll say 'oh, well if we do this like this then kakashi will never know' while kakashi is. in the room. Absolute queens of NEVER coming to terms with their actions having concequenses. if anything, Obito still being alive and having to heal IS the concequenses of his actions. and he does NOT want to face them. he'd LOVE to die as he lived. silly and doing war crimes. unfortunately Sakura REFUSES to let him die because it would make their team sad. so now they're stuck with each other

JOKES ASIDE this is actually sad because I am sure he really just did pick up every summon dog he could until he was on the edge of his chakra resources. Like none of his summons are from breeds meant to fight except for maybe Akino, Uuhei and Bull.

He already had all of his eight dogs while he was tracking Orochimaru and he was ~14 at this point which means he had chosen all his summons while being a literal child. Which also means he acted like a normal child picking random animals on street and taking them home except that he didn’t have parents who are usually against this behaviour :( fuuuck imma cry on this hill
