Hi,,,,, so, this is what I've been working on- I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO SAY, IT'S NOT THAT LONG FOR THE TIME IT TOOK ME TO MAKE IT!

but to be honest this isn't the finished version. Just wanted to show a little bit of the process (in case it ends up being just a wipjeje) i'm a slow worker jiji.

I don't plan to do a full “animation” I want it to look like an animatic, but polished(? if that makes sense.

Drawing hand is so hard 😭

I have super bad test anxiety and it's literally 4am rn BUT I started drawing to calm myself down/make myself sleepy enough to just fall asleep instantly and I started zoning out and OH MY GOD?? HOW DID I DO THE HAIR LIKE THIS???? WHAT,,, I've always had the HARDEST time coloring hair and ig something jusy clicked???? what the hell..

HOW THE ACTUAL FUCK DO PEOPLE DO GRAYSCALE 💔💔 I really want to try more dramatic lighting so I was like omg genius idea!! grayscale!! so like cool cool,, you do the base in grayscale,, render in gray scale,, now.. how do I slap color on this in a way where he doesn't look like he came outta a morgue 👻

also side note,, I haven't drawn ace in like 20 million years so he started looking like bootleg epel 🧍‍♂️but I don't wanna redo this so 🙂‍↔️

um anyways if anyone knows super cool ways to add color without making them look like they lack blood flow- that would be mega awesome!!

Okay I made a sick sketch

It's tiny (like on the corner of my sketchbook) but I saw that pose and I was thinking like, okay this is EXACTLY how it looks when he uses his quirk so I scribbled down the pose and then drew him.

I want to make that in big. With markers. And maybe even make a background. And hang it on the wall to Kirishima and Denki.

And I was also thinking of something funny. The way he would describe how he fights with his quirk:

I can use my quirk as a weapon. Just think of it ... like a table. A table isn't dangerous, right? Then you accidentally drop something beneath it, try to pick it up and while getting back up you hit your head against the table. Although, it's just a table, it still hurts, right?

(I'm not sure if I'll allow him to reshape his forcefields but if I do, he would add:

Now imagine the table being a spikey pyramid...)

And I can't stop moving the hand in all different positions. Now I've realized that the way I drew it, it is similar to that one scene where Katsuki and Shoto make those stupid cute anime faces. That scene made me laugh for over a minute.

That piece is pain. I traced the sketch on a separate layer and started with the lineart but I messed up the eyes. I tried to fix it but now it's smudged. Now I can start over again tracing my sketch.

I think this time, I won't trace the eyes and just try to get the expression I want.

Some warm-up and trying to figure out how to draw Error. So, I made this little reference sheet for myself 😊 (there's also more stuff on it, but this is the most important part 😂)

I was also thinking: Okay, I need to think about when he reacts in a certain way to draw him. I could technically go and combine some emotions in a scene and make a little comic out of it. With that I would be able to train expressions AND train drawing comics 😁

(if you couldn't tell already, I like to set myself overambitious goals 😅)

AND what will be the most difficult, as I realize right now, I always tend to forget the glitches 😥 Need to keep that in mind...

I want to draw ...

but I don't know who. I need to train expressions and wanted to do the "25 Essential Expressions" challenge but I don't know who to draw. So I thought: Hey, this could be a cool idea to let somebody else decide!

Sooo, that's what I'll try:

Currently WIP for a drawing competition I want to participate. The theme of the competition is 'villain'. I still need to figure out the background in more detail and then I can start the actual drawing (and yes, I still consider this as a sketch. Just a pretty detailed one.🤣)

I have also never been drawing this long on a single drawing (an entire week). Normally, I finish a drawing in a couple of hours or in half a day. Still got a week left to finish that thing😁.
