Curate, connect, and discover
this is it. this is the chapter that makes me vibrate with excitement at 9.9 on the richter scale and also makes me want to hide under a rock like a bug until someone comes to tell me how it’s been received.
if, as i do, you like seeing Sephiroth frolic in fields and interact positively with animals (and also with Cloud), you may enjoy this fic.

Chapter summary: Blue petals, green leaves, and a tiny gold sun.
Their journey takes them back to the coast in the last long hot days of summer, to a large town with a similarly large sea monster problem. The houses here are plastered in pale peach and yellow, their roofs made of terracotta tiles that fit together like the scales of a giant fish. Steep, ruddy hillsides scattered with hardy scrubs and firs; bleached pebble beaches; buildings, all drawn together by the warm glow of the sun at its zenith.

Not strictly a Sefikura Week entry, but I managed to cover 5/7 prompts in this chapter, and have been living in a very happy sefikura daze this week while editing.

Cloud Strife in Final Fantasy VII Remake 7/?
☁️✨🩵 Inspired by scenes from FF7 Rebrith and also an homage to my last Cloud piece after Remake [x]. I personally STILL love the direction they are taking the story! Agonizing wait for part 3...

So this is neat. The new chapter makes it interestingly clear that Sephiroth, for all his rank and reputation within Shinra, doesn't actually have any real authority within the system.
For years we'd been giving Sephiroth the fanon rank of "General", but the truth is that his hands are pretty tied with the inner workings of SOLDIER. The company that raised him, abused him, dehumanized him, and exploited him for profit didn't even have the courtesy to give him a position of actual legitimate authority.
Sephiroth is basically just their trained dog. Their Stamp. He acts as their mascot. He does tricks for them on command. He has the "privilege" of being famous and respected. But he's still very much on their leash. And that's all he can ever have.
"What I want, Cloud, is to sail the darkness of
the cosmos with this planet as my vessel."
I was going to post this for Cloud's birthday, but well, it is what it is. Belated happy birthday little dude ‧₊˚ ☁️
As always, prints available at INPRNT
Chapter 7 is up!!
They're more and less comfortable together now.
For some time they proceed as they were before, because that’s what feels simplest in the plain light of day.
Sephiroth’s understanding of where to go has become more nuanced since his ordeal, and he leads them with purpose.
He hears whispers, sees flashes of other lives lived in these lands as they pass through. Insubstantial farmers waking with the dawn and working until the sun is high; ghostly hunters stalking their prey at dusk; a robed group of nomads from long, long ago whose apparitions sing their way through the landscape each night with twinkling viridian flecks swirling around them like dust motes.
The hills here are gentle and covered alternately with kaleidoscopic floral expanses and long, yellowed, rusty-dry waving grass that looks soft from far away but whips and prickles if you reach for it as you walk.
As they carve their long parallel paths towards the horizon, twin memories of the silvery twilight forest and the amber-gold afternoon meadow simmer under their skin and flash unbidden in their minds.
