Curate, connect, and discover
Same storyline of previous post, just went through and rewrote some parts, fixed grammar. Note to self, write fanfic at reasonable hours next time. Okay, done yapping. Hope you enjoy, Blazamy fans!
Calm. So very calm. The house was silent, and still. Calm. Not as though recent days had been hectic. More, lively. But with Surge off helping her friend Kit pack his things to prepare to move, Shadow off on some mission with the rest of Team Dark, and Katami(Trans Metal Sonic(read separate fic I wrote)) was over at Tails’ workshop to get fixed after an incident with the oven, which also needed to be fixed. The house has never been quite this devoid of activity. Currently, there is only two people in the house, Amy Rose, and her first love, Blaze the Cat.
Amy had come to such a realization rather late in the day, while she was lying in bed, getting ready for the night. She saw how empty the bed was when she noticed how much free space there was on it. It felt weird to her, having grown to appreciate how close they would all be come bedtime. Perfect for cuddles, and they would never get cold at night. She felt a tad lonely, that was until…
Blaze: “Hello Amy.”
Blaze entered the room, fresh from a shower. She was draped in her favorite bathrobe. Her hair hadn’t been tied up, and fell across her head in such a way, Amy needed to restrain herself from getting lost in the sight.
Amy: “Hi Blazie!”
Blaze joined Amy on the bed, looking content.
B: “You look comfortable.”
Amy snuggled closer to Blaze.
A: “Yeah… gosh, it’s been a while since it’s been just the two of us here, huh?
B: “Mhm, … and I think I want to take full advantage of that.”
Amy felt her face flush, and before she could say a peep, Blaze pulled her into a cuddle.
A: “Oh.”
B: “Is something wrong? I thought you enjoyed hugging.”
A: “I-I do, it’s just… forget it…”
B: “What? Is this not what you expected?”
A: “No… actually, it’s perfect…”
Amy nuzzled into Blaze’s embrace, exhaling deeply as she felt herself be engulfed in her love’s warmth.
A: “Are you gonna read tonight…?”
B: “… Oh, of course. Goodness, how could i forget?”
Blaze released Amy, the latter would move to cling to the former’s waist, taking in her piney-clean scent. Blaze reached onto the nightstand, and took a large book off it.
This tradition started sometime before the polycule. It began when Amy had noticed how Blaze would always read a book before bed. It started with simple questions, then evolved into being cradled to slumber every night by her love’s soothing voice as she would regale them with fantasy tales of knights and kingdoms, dragons and great castles, and lively taverns where adventurers would gather and rejoice over a successful journey. The current story book she was reading was one of a love not meant to be, a lowly knight and the princess of a mighty kingdom had fallen madly in love with one another, and can only show their true affection in shadows.
B: “Now then… ahem,”Your majesty…”, the knight kneeled, the princess stood before her, and gently relinquished them of their helmet. “Please… none are here… I made sure of it.” The knight climbed to her feet, and took the princess’s dainty soft hands into her steel plates mitts. “Abigail… I have missed your gentle voice. Its beauty brings songbirds shame, as they know their cries and squawks could never match your simple melody…”, “Nataline…”. The princess helped her lover out of her chainmail, the heavy metal fell to the ground with a clang, the two having not a care for it. They spared the moment to embrace one another with their eyes, soaking in the beauty of their lover. The knight and her toned, broad, yet lanky figure. The princess and her thinner, fragile self. Before long, the two took to the princess’s quarters, scampering in the night, hidden under moonlight. “Abigail…”, “Nataline…”. The two would collapse upon the silken sheets and wool mattress, their hands roamed slowly, taking in every moment, every beautiful nook, cranny, and curve. They held tightly to one another till sunrise and after, their love for each other finally allowed to be shared, they found a greater solace in each other’s arms, silently praying the night would never end, that they could remain like this for all eternity and then some. But-…”
Blaze paused, when she heard Amy’s soft snoring, feeling her breath exhale onto her stomach. She smiled softly, her heart warming at the very sight. She made sure to fix her bookmark onto the appropriate page, and placed the novel back onto the nightstand. Blaze scooted onto her back, pulling her sleeping partner’s head onto her chest. With her love secured safely in her grasp, she allowed herself to drift off along with her. The room fell quiet, the only sound to be heard was crickets, and the shared gentle snores of embracing lovers.
The sun had returned in the sky as if it never left, a yellow glow filled the sky. Entangled under their blanket, the two were awakening as the sun shone persistently through the window.
B: “Good Morning…”
A: “mmmmmmmorning…”
Blaze chuckled softly at Amy’s drowsiness, giving her a soft peck on the forehead before beginning to get up.
A: “nnooooo… stay.”
The pink hedgehog clung tightly to her love’s waist.
B: “Amy…”
A: “five more minutes…?”
As much as she preferred getting up at a reasonable hour, Blaze couldn’t justify saying no to that face. She would lay back down and give Amy her five minutes, then another, then another.
