And the ring he proposes with is just...a hideous, colorful thing from a gumball machine because Mike doesnt have money but wanted to give sth to Ness anyway.

And he's all like:

"Once I saved some money I'm gonna buy you a prettier ring, don't worry..."

And Ness acting all insulted be like:

"Are you insane? This one is perfect! I'm gomna wear it until it falls off!"

Either that or Mike proposes with a ring Abby made. Both adorable ideas in my opinion

Summary:

Mike was sleeping on the job, stupidly making a deal with the Ghost Children. As he tried to right his wrong in the same dream, he get's woken up by a familiar voice, crying for help.

Some drawings because being in the SecurityWaiter/DreamTheory Discord server has made be repeatedly forget that I should actually be posting stuff lol.

Anyways this is just some one off stuff of Mike and Ness as TreeBros (and Jack as Jared) because I was listening to Sincerely, Me and it took me back to the days of fandom when everyone animated every ship to that song.

I would make a full AU out of it, but the character relationships just clash too much, so it’s just these three (plus a bonus drawing of Abby but again the relationships DONT MIX BETWEEN THESE TWO STORIES SO ITS JUST A FUNNY ONE OFF THING NOTHING WEIRD)

I HAVE A DETECTIVE NESS AU‼️‼️‼️

I'll never write a fic on it but anyone else is welcome to, or just use it to inspire your own ideas

(Warning: I have not watched Escape The Night in ages and I never watched season 4, so whatever happened in season 4 is being disregarded)

So it starts with Escape The Night (not YouTubers AU), when Matt is revived he basically becomes part of Everlock so when they defeat the carnival master or whatever, Matt is forced to stay behind in the 1970's.

For whatever reason reason Manny doesn't die just bc I don't want him to, I had reasons for this but I don't think it really fits with the Escape The Night lore so back to the drawing board.

Matt is left in the 1970's with no house, money, friends, family etc. I'm pretty sure everyone living in Everlock died but whatever, this is an AU so no, they didn't fully die they were just in limbo or some shit idk. Anyways, the point is Matt manages to make some friends and get back on his feet

By the mid 1980's Matt is an actual detective and is living a good life up until some time in the 1990's when people are like "bro, you literally haven't aged a day in the past 30 years"

Oh, yeah forgot the mention, Matt/Ness is immortal in this AU bc spooky revival stuff and he can also like sense ghosts and his orange tinted glasses allow him to properly see ghosts, he doesn't doesn't age and when you kill him the wounds just sorta heal and he gets back up like "Damn, that kinda hurt"

People are suspicious of his unchanged appearance so he fakes his death, changes his legal name and leaves Everlock.

He purposely moves to the town with the closed down Freddy Fazbears bc the case of the missing kids always intrigued him

He chooses not to go down the detective route again and just gets a job at Sparky's diner, he works there for about a year when he meets Mike and falls in love, at this point he was already aware that he wasn't straight (I headcanon him as pan) but he's never been romantically interested in a man, he's just seem some attractive men in his life time, so he was like "HOLY SHIT, I NEED TO DATE THAT GUY"

At this point he's going through a "Hell yeah, I'm fucking immortal" phase, he gives no fucks, has a "respect is a two way street" attitude and is absolutely serving cunt. He's practically a different person to who he was when he first went to Everlock. He has his ears pierced, he paints his nails and he sometimes experiments with make-up but it's not really his thing

So now we focus on Joey who has gotten Manny and Nikita (and I guess any other survivors? Completely honest, I never finished season 1 and I never even started season 2) together and have taken them to the abandoned Freddy Fazbears and is like "I think we can revive everyone here" and then time travel stuff happens and they end up in the year 2000 with no limits or instructions of where to go or what to do

The go to a random diner to talk it out and Ness shows up like "Hey, welcome to- ah shit, not you assholes" Manny and Nikita start up normal conversations like "omg I love your nails and your earrings" and then Joey's like "Help us revive people." And Ness is like "No?". Quick side note- Joey continues to call him Matt through the conversation and Manny and Nikita are like "Don't deadname him, damn"

Thats mostly what I have so far, theres a scene I have in my head where he gets springlocked and Mike and Vanessa get him out of the suit in a panic and Vanessa's like "He's dead, theres nothing we can do" and then Ness sits up and is like "Owwwww, fuck"

Also, Manny, Nikita and Joey are very shocked by Ness's cunty personality and but they're like "Yas queen, you ate that up"

They're less shocked about his boyfriend, they're kinda like "Well, he was a theatre kid"

*fuckeeennn... THROWS THIS AND RUNS*

CANON.

Mike: *Complaining about his eyes and lights and stuff*

Ness: The think you have astigmatism

Mike: ...Autism.....?

Ness: Uh, yeah, that too

CANON😭

Ness: I know you’ve probably been emotionally unavailable since you were twelve, and look like you’re about to die of sleep deprivation, but I would run away with you if you asked.

Mike, just trying to order a hamburger: what?

25th of January, 'Freddy's-a-go' update from a healthy Ness, no longer sick + photos of Freddy's from the outside. Radio update and a hint to a live interview on his radio station with a "certain security gaurd".

January 31st, Ness posts on his story about a radio update along with his Lock Ness Monster theory board as the photo in the background.

Between all of those posts, Ness has interacted with the Sparky's Diner account too, which is ran by his sibling 'Andy' (because in the book it's said that Ness' family own the Diner, that's the only "canon" I'm taking from the book. Completely made Andy up)

Andy teases Ness about how he stares at "your security guy" in the comments of several Sparky's Diner posts, Ness responds back and that leads to him getting Mike's (security guys) number after Mike had written it on a receipt that Andy picked up instead because Ness was busy with another table. Andy makes a post on the Sparkys account about how "you should really notice this! Also, make sure to return 10 receipts to get a free coffee on the house!" Ness proceeds to freak out in the comments at realising Mike left him his number and offers anything in the world to Andy so he'll give him the receipt that had Mike's number on it.

This is the shortest way I can explain the LOOORE, but I plan to make a full in depth post about it all soon Including behind the scenes lore that has only been hinted at and not given full context (Mike randomly posting on Ness' story is a GREAT example because securitywaiter isn't established yet. As far as people knew, Ness just had a supposed crush on him and then BOOM Mike Is randomly in Ness' room taking care of him while he's sick + now he's following a certain @MichaelSchmidt1975 too, hmmm??) (Also, you don't have to like securitywaiter to enjoy the account, you wouldn't even notice it:))

All set in the 2000's like the movie by the way!

Part 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 of NestorTheory lore:)

Ness never gets sick. And when he does, to put it lightly, it fucking sucks.

He's usually zooming all over the place, taking orders (in the diner, duhh) left and right, making cheery remarks and comments to whoever, and flashing that cheery grin.

And then he gets sick. Looks like he hasn't slept in a month, paler than the uniform on his back, and his eyebags are like nothing you've ever seen. Andy doesn't even give him the chance to tie his apron before he's shoving him out the back door with an order to go home and sleep "for ONCE, Ness".

And no matter what disease or sickness he's picked up after working and theorising 25/8, he always gets the sniffles. Constantly has a rose tipped nose and tissues by his side. He doesn't even have a cold or anything of that kind, but a runny nose always comes to haunt him. He hates it. He whines about it to Mike who jokes that he has a curse, which of course sends Ness falling deep into the rabbit hole of disturbing the paranormal and the consequences behind jt (its all tied to the freddys case, its always tied to the freddys case). Mike puts him on bedrest for a week, even notepads are banned until he's better.

You cannot tell me this isn't Ness crashing after staying up for 2 days to prove that he's right about the cop (vanessa) going into the pizzaria at night.

Guys he's just so silly, the goober just needs to sleep before going on a tangent about how he "didn't get sick from the air, Mike. Really, I'm fine" (he literally broke into Freddys a week ago with a flashlight, camcorder and bag. Genius didn't even bring a face mask so he wouldn't breath in whatevers in the pizzarias air)
