Was playing Oregon Trail for funsies and decided to add EE characters to spice it up a bit.

Caricare i nuovi file

Usare un programma FTP per caricare i seguenti file e cartelle sul nostro server

Caricare i file del backup

Ripristinare le modifiche effettuate ai seguenti file

admin.php

index.php

Ripristinare i seguenti file dal backup

system/expressionengine/config/config.php

system/expressionengine/config/database.php

Ripristinare le seguenti cartelle dal backup

system/expressionengine/language/ 

system/expressionengine/third_party/

system/expressionengine/templates/

themes/third_party/ 

Verificare i permessi dei file

Impostare i permessi su 666 ai seguenti file

system/expressionengine/config/config.php

system/expressionengine/config/database.php

Impostare i permessi su 777 alla seguente cartella

system/expressionengine/cache/  (e le rispettive sottocartelle)

Far partire l'Update Wizard

Inserire nell'URL del browser il percorso del file admin.php, per esempio http://www.esempio.it/admin.php

Seguire le istruzioni della pagina per aggiornare ExpressionEngine

Una volta finita l'installazione, eliminare questa cartella dal server

ExpressionEngine - I segment

Tutti gli elementi separati da slash (/) nell’URL in EE vengono definiti segment. Si può utilizzare questa funzione per rendere dinamicamente selezionate le voci del menu in base alla pagina visualizzata.

  Per la Home:

  <a {if segment_1 == “”} class=”current” {/if} href=”{site_url}”>Home</a>

  Per le altre voci del menu bisogna vedere a quale segmento fanno riferimento, per esempio in una pagina posizionata in {site_url}/news_articles/page/category/news, l’elemento news è in quarta posizione e la nostra voce del menu sarà:

  <a {if segment_4 == ”news”} class=”current” {/if} href=”{site_url}/news_articles/page/category/news”>News</a>

e così via per tutte le altre voci del menu

ExpressionEngine - Funzione Embed

Per non scrivere le sezioni ricorrenti in ogni template (come l’header), si può scrivere una sola volta e richiamarle con la funzione embed di EE.

Creare un nuovo gruppo includes e un nuovo template document_header, dentro incollarci tutto fino a </head>. In tutti i template che lo usano basterà mettere:

{embed=”includes/document_header”}

al posto dell'header.

Si può fare anche per il sidebar, il footer, e tutte le sezioni ricorrenti del nostro sito.

ExpressionEngine - Importare un template

Creare un group Sito, nel template index copiare e incollare il codice html del file index del template.

Creare un nuovo template CSS, chiamarlo style e incollarci dentro il codice del CSS del template.

In index modificare:

in

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" href="{stylesheet='sito/style'}" />

Dove sito è il Template Group name e style il template name

Creare una cartella interface dentro alla cartella images di EE.

 Modificare in index i path di tutte le immagini da

<img src="images/...">

a

<img src="{site_url}images/interface/...">

  e nel css da

url(../images/...);

a

url({site_url}images/interface/...);

Set in 5x01 “Love, Love, Love”

Burt honks the horn lightly.

“It really is time now,” Blaine says sadly.

“Yeah, I don’t want to miss my flight,” Kurt responds.

Neither of them move, cemented to the spot in the driveway. Both of them unable to unclasp their hands or even take a half step away.

“I’m going to call you to say good morning and good night every day,” Kurt starts.

“And texts in between,” Blaine finishes.

“And I’ll send photos of all the crazy new things I’ll be seeing so you can see them with me.”

Kurt squeezes their hands tighter again and plants another round of soft kisses on Blaine’s cheek.

“I’m going to miss you like crazy,” he confesses quietly into Blaine’s ear. Tears start to seep out of the corner of this eyes. It’s a wonder he has made it this far without full on weeping. He pulls back to give one final look into Blaine’s eyes and sees them full of tears. “Honey, no, no. I love you so much.”

“I love you, too. And I am so proud of you.” Blaine sniffles. “I just, not having you will be, well, kinda crappy. But I’ll be okay. We will be okay.”

“Okay, okay,” Kurt repeats, shaking his head.

Blaine leans in for another kiss. They melt into one another, what was soft and sweet becomes heated and passionate.

Burt honks the horn again.

“Call me when you get there?”

“Yes, I promise. I still want to say goodnight, every night.” Kurt smiles at Blaine.

“I might hold you to that,” Blaine teases.

“I’m counting on it,” Kurt says.

ahh I see- also very interesting topic! and yeah, I do go to an ib school- so we all had to fill out rpf's before they allocate subjects for all of us

well, for our RPF we had to pick three subjects and I chose Bio, Chem, and English- so I picked ocean acidification for bio, the detection of pesticides in water using sensors, and I chose the satirization of the educational system in Calvin and Hobbes :D
