Goodbye, goodbye, see you tomorrow. What time are you coming? Maybe 10, 11, on the nose. PAUL MCCARTNEY and RINGO STARR in GET BACK
Why does no one talk about this 😭
i mean he really couldn't have been clearer
₊˚ෆ #mclennon: just thinking about you.

GEORGE HARRISON and social interaction difficulties - part 2
Why I’m obsessed with this scene from Get Back - Part 3:
A very human Paul McCartney being nervous and anxious about the progression of the project.
Paul’s only responding to John and discussing his worries with him and remains quiet while the others talk.
Several people trying to talk to John but his eyes constantly shift back to a silent Paul (of course the camera decides to zoom in on John’s face at that moment)
John’s attentiveness and trying to talk Paul through his worries.
George’s coat.
Every friend group should include:
Cute Alert!
Rewatching Get Back over and over it makes you realize the true protagonist is Ringo
sorry for not being very active, lots of things happened etc etc Anywayyy a little sketch of the rooftop concert
"good vibes man" he says after quitting the band and causing everybody to lose multiple days of rehearsals. maybe oasis are george's children after all
now they're frightened of leaving it
everyone's weaving it
George staring in your soul The Office style since forever
First at all I apoligize for my grammatical mistakes, I'm not a native speaker and surely I am not fluent. Anyway today I rewatched Elliot Roberst's video on Now and Then and guys if before with his video on Get Back while he was commenting the infamous flirting moment between John an Paul as "This moment is very revealing...just perfect" on Now and Then he mentions clearly mclennon and in the end says "They’re letting us know that someday down the long and winding road across the universe, they will return to each other.”
I love this man aside from being a very good content creator he is such a fan
In conclusion his video as taken me to another content creator of my country, and the most interesting thing is the comment
He talks about the tape of Now and Then and the idea who was written for Paul: he says "è una cosa tanto romantica" it's such a romantic thing. My mind in the moment was blowing what a coincidence but for being clear he doesn't believe it because there a no clearly proofs, Yoko could have written that for organize the tapes why John should have written for Paul he didn't know he would have died... a very rational reasoning you can agree or disagree but it's not the point of my post
Te point is that I am always more convinced that even hetero men beatles's fans secretely HOPE John and Paul were a thing
People questioning the whole re-release of Now and then 50+ years after the Beatles broke up is missing the point. The song is a gift to us who are lucky enough to enjoy the magic of the Beatles, of course, but it was never made for us. Alexis Peditris described this perfectly in the last paragraphs of his review for the Guardian:
This is McCartney letting go. This is him saying one last proper goodbye to the people he loved the most, the music that defined his life, his past mistakes, his wrong choices, his "what-ifs", his family, alongside Starr, the only person who knew exactly what it was like and who's been on this journey with him together.
This is the end of 40 years of grieving that began when that gun was fired in front of the Dakota in 1980 and continued when Harrison left them on a bed in his house in 2001.
This is him, at 81 years old, knowing this could be his last decade singing the songs that he wrote with John and George because there in the songs there will always be a part of them with him, and finally being at peace with it.
This is him saying,
Thank you for the good memories.
Goodbye.
redrew a comic i made when i first saw some bits from the Get Back documentary
Some things never change
Paul McCartney and his daughter Heather recorded a punk song together, where Heather reads the label of a baby formula can.
obessed with the bit where mal turns off the amp and george immediately goes to turn it back on and mals like well i tried 😋❤
JANUARY 30, 1969 “I love when Paul jumps up and down on the plank, to see if it’s going to hold his weight. He comes across being as hard as nails. They’re all complaining about the cold, but he’s wearing less clothes than anyone else. He’d like to do a two-hour set—impervious to any temperature whatsoever.”— Giles Martin
It’s just about a gang of weirdos who love each other singing from the literal rooftops and, for a few minutes, bringing colour to a grey city. It’s about how all good things must come to an end but by simply happening they’re still significant. It’s about the constant battle between art/people/LOVE against forces that want them to conform. It’s about how friendship can literally change the world. It’s about hope. It’s about the power of dreaming. It’s cold and their fingers are going numb and the uniformed police officers, ever-present in the background, are making them unplug their instruments. But they just plug them back in!!! Maybe they can’t finish the concert but they’re finishing the song if it’s the last thing they do and they’ll even crack some jokes while they’re at it. Poetic cinema…
GET BACK, PART III — Ringo doesn’t talk much, but when he says he’s not going abroad, they are not going abroad. And when he says “I wanna go on the roof”, they’re going on the roof. (x)
THE BEATLES: GET BACK (2021) // George + Ringo (ep. 3)
January 26th, 1969 (Apple Studios, London): As the Beatles work on the arrangement for Octopus’s Garden’, Ringo tells Paul about the basis for the song, piquing George’s memory of what he was once told about octopuses. (Note: John’s on drums. This clip from the sessions is shortly followed by Heather sharing her personal octopus anecdote with John - which I can’t make out, unfortunately - and more animal banter.)
GEORGE: Hey, it was somebody – he was telling me octopuses go and pick up all the seashells. You know about that?
RINGO: Yes, that’s why I wrote it! ‘Cause the guides told me [about them] on the boat in Sardinia. [inaudible]
GEORGE: Yeah. [to Paul] You know about that? They collect all nice-looking things and make a garden around where they are and just with all their groovy things to sleep behind.
RINGO: Yeah.
GEORGE: [laughs] It’s great.
It was the morning that we recorded 'Arrow Through Me'. The night before had been a particularly long one, it was the only time he ever spoke about it, nothing about his relationship, it was just more of a feeling that I had than anything, that he just missed that closeness... just a perception. My God, he misses John - that it was a huge hole in his life.
- Steve Holley [Wings' drummer from 1978 to 1981].
