The Little Donkey without a Tail. As you can tell, I've been looking at a lot of Eyvind Earle and Mary Blair lately.

Throwback Thursday! This is the logotype of a children's series that I created for a truly lovely client a couple of years ago. I had so much fun working on it. Happy nearly-the-weekend!

Leo The Artist - vortex . . . These two version came from a collaboration with a few of my friends. They are my own rift on a particular branch on glitch art. I didn't really pursue to create a glitch piece. I was messing around with a square plain of dots that I found a way to warp and bend. That plain became the three spheres you see in the middle of these two pieces, with a rainbow gradient added on top. sometimes a artist my come across or come up with a interest and unique object, sound, material, or form. These things can really motivate an artist to focus on the piece to its completion. Unfortunately, they also can cause artist to overload a piece because they like that sound or object so much. Artist can also overload a piece in the effort to stay in a certain style. What I've learn is to keep in mind what demands to be the focus of a piece and not drown it with to many things. I feel Kanye West does this well. It is most apparent in his album 'Yezzus' where there are a limited number instruments used on each track to give a unique sound space to make more of an impact. This is what I tried to do with these pieces. I had to go back and take off a few things including a image of mega-man. Still however, I think I filled up these pieces to its brink when comes to too many things included. That's what I like about it though. Gotta Respect the artist IQ.
