ꪆ ⋆⁺₊ The response Harvey gave earned him a knowing smirk from Selina. She wasn't bothered at all by the challenge. They were right after all - it was big talk. Fortunately for the catwoman, though, she knew she could back it up. There wasn't a safe in Gotham that she couldn't crack, and she prided herself on that. She only hoped that Harvey would keep their word and come through with her reward.
"Well then, no point in standing around here any longer," she replied. Trusting they would keep up, Selina headed down the alley towards a window that was left open. It sat near the ground, but led into a basement - the basement of the building they were going to rob.
She dropped in gracefully, then began to lead the way to another room. "I've already scoped the place out. Security is in this way. We just need to shut down the system before we can help ourselves to the vault on the third floor."
𝐔𝐏 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄 the minutiae details of their scars , every ridge to be traced it told the story of that day ; though , in reality , these scars were formed over years . Sure 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐘 had only exposed what was already there , hidden beneath the once seemingly incorruptible visage of HARVEY DENT !
𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄𝐖𝐈𝐒𝐄 ... CATWOMAN had a reputation behind , maybe not quite like that of the infamous 𝐓𝐖𝐎-𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐄 but it was still enough to catch his attention . && She's got the personality to boot . Hands tucked away into his pocket , long-tailed coat draping towards the floor && taking drags from the cigarette between his teeth && lips .
❝ 𝐁𝐈𝐆 𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐊 . Lets see if yer can live up to it , pussy cat . && You'll get yer reward . ❞ Of course he's left out the details about the coin but for now he needed her hot on her feet .
ꪆ ⋆⁺₊ The railings of balconies and fire escapes were slick with previously fallen rain. That made sliding from one to the other all the easier for Selina as she gracefully leapt from building to building towards her destination. The cat burglar was well aware that she was late to the rendezvous, but she had her reasons. Two-Face had a reputation in Gotham, but she'd never worked with him before and wanted to do her homework. She might metaphorically have nine lives, but why waste one being so careless?
The street lamp was out over the alley, allowing darkness to completely swallow it whole. She knew it wasn't empty, though. Landing on her feet, making only a small splash in a puddle, Selina stood and regarded her current partner. "Relax, honey," she cooed, a carefree smirk playing over the parts of her face visible under her cowl. She knew his injuries would be a sight, but seeing the scars up close didn't come close to what she saw in pictures. "The Bernadottes' will be an in and out job. I've seen what their safe looks like and it'll be a piece of cake. Just hold up your end of the deal and everything will be smooth as silk."
SELINA KYLE 𝙿𝙻𝙴𝙰𝙳𝙴𝙳 : ❝ i hope i didn’t keep you waiting very long, did i? ❞
❝ Any longer && we'd may as well just do ourselves int'the pigs ! ❞ If any of them saw 𝐓𝐖𝐎-𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐄 waiting around the alleys of GOTHAM like this no sooner after they escaped ARKHAM ? She knew the risk already damn feline / @felin3fatal3 ! She kept them waiting ; either out of carelessness or to rattle his cage like frigging canary at her mercy . 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐀𝐓 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐂𝐘 . He would never succumb to that .
❝ What were yer even doin' yer 𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐘 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐘 ? I said meet me here at 2 it's now 4 ! It'll be daylight before we hit the BERNADOTTES' ! ❞ A wealthier family in GOTHAM . Much like most of the aristocrats here they built their fortune on top of a pile of corpses for the mob !
୨୧╼ Harvey was no longer the man Violet had once known. Of course, she had followed his venture into wickedness in the papers. The acid scarred face did not cause her fear and trepidation. Moreso his public obsession with duality and basing choices on a two headed coin. She had never been very lucky, and she did not like her odds.
The way in which Two-Face smiled was dangerous. Equally as threatening as it was teasing. When he probed her on staying, she paused. Unsure of what was the best way to handle the situation. She decided to indulge him. As to not cause a scene or his annoyance. “I suppose I could use the company.” It was not her first foray into dealing with a rogue. Her voice was steady and she was as cool as chilled cucumber soup on a cold day.
“It seems we’ve both been in the news lately.” Violet may have been mostly innocent, but the result was just the same. No matter how unjust it was. “I am sure they’ll figured out more crimes against humanity to pin on me. Lex never was one to let things go.” A soft sigh escaped plump lips as she relaxed in her seat. “So, are you going to buy me a drink? After all I believe your criminal endeavors are much more profitable than mine.”
𝐇𝐈𝐌 , 𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀𝐋𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 , 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄 DENT , DENT 𝐖𝐀𝐒𝐍'𝐓 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 . So long ago had MR. DENT encountered VIOLET BAUDELAIRE . He is not quite an ALLY nor an 𝐈𝐌𝐌𝐃𝐈𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓 ... the night can take them either way . 𝐓𝐖𝐎-𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐄 in a sense could remember her almost as vividly as HARVEY . He was there for it ; the accusations stacking against her , they could entertain whether the sea of indictments have ever stopped lapping at her heels .
The asymmetry of his visage now obverse . He follows her eyes , she's already considering leaving , && 𝐒𝐎 𝐅𝐀𝐒𝐓 ? !
A smirk as he stoops onto the stool , elbows onto his thighs .
❝ Yeah , sometime , ain't that a fact ? Yer plannin' on stayin' for a drink && a chat or are yer stockpilin' more of 'em ' 𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐄𝐒 ? ' ❞
୨୧╼ A life on the run for crimes she did not commit – was nothing new for Violet. But the disastrous events that occurred in Metropolis had left Violet truly on her own. Before she could often rely on the strengths of her siblings and the love of Beatrice. Now she felt adrift in the wind. For now, she found a home in the less than savory part of Gotham. Another night spent at some dodgy bar. Where Violet would hope to drown her plentiful sorrows in a whiskey neat. At first, she paid no mind to the person who sat next to her. It was only when she heard the familiar voice of her one-time lawyer, that she turned her head. Many things had changed in both their lives, how strange it would both lead them to the same point. Worry filled Violet that she may be recognized. That it may be the end of her life as a free woman. Nervously she turned her face to him. Though he had been an ally once, that did not mean he still was. “It has been sometime Mr. Dent.” Her chestnut eyes darted from him to the door.
