Horrific realization: Elon Musk is about as close as you can get to a real life modern day Cave Johnson.
He knows nothing about the science he claims to be developing for humanity, instead taking credit for the work of unnamed researchers in his employ. He doesn't care about the lives of the people who make or use his products. He's driven entirely by impulse and ego and spends his wealth on whims. He's insufferable to work with or under, but he has just the right kind of charisma to bluff thousands of otherwise intelligent people into liking and supporting him, until the moment they realize: it's not a joke, it's not a persona, it's not even Miles Bron levels of lying, it's just the unbridled ego of man who can't be convinced that he's ever been wrong.
