Curate, connect, and discover
Every human has a brain, whether it looks like it or not,
Some are better than others, as all things are in life,
We can stare longingly at the sea, our long lost paradise,
But understand it’s better here, more food less strife,
You see, to live is to sacrifice, you may not experience everything,
If we were to see the water’s depths, we may not have
felt the sun’s gentle caressing, the touch of spring grass,
Warmth
And if we ever feel too homesick for humanity’s crib,
Remember, our favourite organ, that can
replace our own body parts with prosthetics to survive,
Just because we want to live,
Will always find a way to relive part of what we lost, trust me,
We always do.
Some fish use a kind of lung to be buoyant, whereas the more successful have adapted the swim bladder,
We have no need for swim bladders, as we weren’t meant to see the depths of the sea,
We have long ago left it,
Even so its gaze commands us to admire or fear its beauty,
we came from it and many have gone back to it willingly or not,
I would like to go fishing some time soon.
