I'm not hating on this person and I wanted to talk to them privately but I couldn't for some reason so I'm just gonna say this. I'm not worried about the views or that they'll cancel it again. Why would I be worried about the views? And plus, they won't cancel it again for the exact reason that the episodes are already paid for. That's pretty common knowledge. The reason this is such a big is because these are the last episodes of the owl house. There aren't gonna be anymore after this. I've been in this Fandom since season 2 came out and I've never seen something like this where people are posting the full episode everywhere and people leaking spoilers even when others say specifically not to leak them, like in the post I mentioned. Those aren't innocent fans, those are people who want to ruin the experience for everyone. I mean, the majority of the Fandom on multiple platforms are upset by this because it's really disrespectful and disappointing. And Dana thinks so too. Not to mention TheOwlClub posted the whole episode and made a whole apology post but still haven't taken the episode down, which given that they can put episodes up, I'm sure they can take them down as well. It's ruining the experience for everyone including all of the people who worked hard on this show and these last few episodes. The voice actors, the directors, the animators, the writers and Dana herself. So maybe it's nit the biggest deal in the world but it's still not fun when you want to experience something for yourself and it's ruined because people just won't listen. And honestly I think it's fine if people are understandably upset about it.
Bro- the amount of disrespect the Fandom has been protruding with For The Future has been insane.
But tbh I'm not all that surprised. There's always people like this in fandoms. It's awful, but atleast for me it isn't that surprising anymore.
The thing that gets me is that TheOwlClub released the episode. Just like they did with True Colors. It's one thing to make that mistake once, but twice? At that point is doesn't seem like a mistake.
They made a whole post regarding everything and apologized, which is nice, but the episode is still up on their website. "Maybe they haven't had time to take it down yet!" They posted it yesterday. I have seen people say that and oh no, they've had plenty of time to take it down.
Maybe it was a mistake, and they didn't mean to upload the episode. But they still did and now I'm seeing spoilers and the full video all over YouTube. This is honestly awful. Last few episodes and no one can respect that. Not to mention that cute message Dana made with the titles "Thanks For Watching" and now "fans" are uploading it everywhere and spoiling it.
I saw a post on YouTube about someone posting a picture of Luz's palisman being that purple cloud and said "If you know what it is don't spoil it!" And luckily most respected that, just commenting "It's really cute and creative, that's all I'm gonna say" and stuff like that. But then there were people in the replies revealing what it was, and they were all doing it multiple times.
God, I can't blame Dana for being pissed. This is just so disrespectful. I know it's just a show, but it has already been disrespected enough, with season 3 being cut short and the LGBTQ+ rep being censored in other countries just so Disney can get their precious pennies.
Like, imagine wanting to make a show, actually getting to do it, the last season being cut short and just as you were telling hundreds of fans who enjoyed the show "Despite the last season being cut short it was still great to create a show!" And promoting a website that showed your episodes, just for those fans and that website to bite you. That must sting.
Edit cause I'm still very mad: Saw someone on here post spoilers with no tag and said "haters dni" like dude we're not haters we're actual fans. I know what I just said is super cringey but that's just how I feel. A very impolite screw you to them and everyone else acting like this :]
