I’ll dogpile on, how would Hudson feel if Ray liked him lol?
He would be very VERY flustered and might even go out of his way to hold the door for him, make him coffee, stealing ink bottles and paper for him (without Ray noticing), etc.
Hudson would still act distant and annoyed, but that's due to him being scared and still in a tight hold with the ink.
He would also probably set flowers on Ray's desk when no one's there to see him do the crime.
I personally think this would be a very cute ship XD or dynamic
Hudson placed his cup down, quiet more than ever, before muttering softly, "Maybe it is, in a way,"
He shook his head, rubbing his eyes, "Or....you know, whatever. What do I know? Hah....."
“Heya! Sorry to bother, just wanted to stop by to uh… Check in. Hope you’re doin’ okay.” He set down a cup of coffee on Hudson’s desk, leaning back with his own cup.

Hudson lifted his head from his desk, his eyes red and tired. He glanced at Ray, his lips pressed in a thin line.
He took the coffee and sipped it.
"Thanks...." he mumbled.

Hudson let out a chuckle, still fiddling with the lighter.
A small smile came creeping on his face when he replied, "It started with me telling Jack how good his tunes were. How everyone liked 'em in the writing department. And when our director was away, we'd blast the radio on full volume."
He smiled a little more now, but still flicked the lighter open and closed.
A young man approaches, offering a small smile.
“Hey, I hope I’m not interruptin’? I’m from the storyboardin’ department, I was told to grab the scripts…If they’re done, that is.”
“The name’s Ray, by the way.”

Mister Hendricks slowly peeled his eyes off his typewriter to look at the young man, tired brown eyes turning into mild distrust.
"Okay...? Hold on," the man muttered, having to hop out of his chair and search his lower cabinet drawers.
Finally, he pulled out a crisp file and gave it to the man.
"Here, most of them are finished, but there are some where you're going to have to fill in the blanks," Hendricks said gruffly.
"Hudson," the man pointed to himself.
Hudson hummed in agreement, his eyes studying Ray.
"Will you quit being so nervous? I haven't even touched a hair on you," he grumbled. "Nor light you on fire." He pulled out his lighter, flipping it open and fiddling with it.
If Ray had heard any rumours about this man here, he wouldn't know Hudson committed arson. Twice.
"So how'd you meet Jack, mon ami?"
