if you are thinking penelope scott’s gross then you are thinking correct lol. kind of hoping you are - that song is one of my personal favorites hehe. kinda sad if it is - the original idea got warped into something WAY more fluffy than gross is, but never fear bc that song will return with its intended angst wether i have to force myself to write it or not.
anyways, you probably won’t have toooo much interest in it, seeing as it isn’t for sp. it’s a one piece (live action bc i love them) fanfic, because i am a liar and a fandom hopping fraud. I was scrolling through my yt shorts one day and stumbled upon that one “you dated brutal dictator of Nicaragua?!” meme and my brain went: “oh. i can do something with this. Small snippet under the cut ;P
REMINDER THAT THIS IS A WIP AND A ROUGH DRAFT AND THAT I KINDA SUCK AT WRITING OK OK GOOD NOW PROCEED WITH CAUTION
Sanji is washing the dishes, the rest of the crew sitting at the dining table conversing. He flits in and out of the conversation, adding bits here and there as he continues his task. The day is peaceful, and Sanji feels at rest.
Nami sits, legs crossed over the top of the chair next to her - Zoro’s - with the newspaper propped into her lap. Zoro sits in his chair, slouching against it and looking mildly annoyed at Nami’s legs at the back of his chair but not saying a word about it. Across the table is Usopp, tinkering on seas knows what, and Luffy, content in gnawing through a bundle of fish jerky Sanji made earlier that morning.
The breeze is light, floating through the open windows and door. The sunshine shines brightly through into the galley, and with the crew this docile together it’s, well… peaceful, like he’s said before.
Of course, that’s when they decide to throw the conversat into a depth Sanji is thoroughly avoiding, and has been since six months after… that.
“Usopp, how long were you and Kaya together?” Luffy asks, interrupting Usopp’s story - one about Kaya, and those were the closest you can get to the truth from him.
Usopp pauses at the words, face going slightly red as he sputters out a reply.
“W-Well, Luffy, the great captain Usopp speaks not of the mountains of women he’s conquered! It is not befitting to-“
“They weren’t together,” Nami says, looking at Usopp with an unsurprised look. “He’s too chicken for that.” With that, she turns her attention back to her newspaper, flipping the page and reading it off.
“Hey-!”
“Did you ever have someone like Usopp didn’t have Kaya?” Luffy asks, because the kid can’t read a room. Usopp lets out an offended noise, and Nami doesn’t even look up from the paper as she speaks next.
“Nope, no time for that.”
Luffy hums, looking over the table. He goes to speak, most likely to ask the question to Zoro, but the green-headed swordsman interrupts him.
“No, Luffy. That’s not my style. Why not ask cook?” Zoro’s tone turns from unamused to smug, and he smirks. He turns in his seat to face Sanji, who has gone back to vigorously scrubbing the plate in his hand as he hopes to be kept out of the conversation. “He’s seen the most people, he must have great stories.”
Sanji turns, sneering at Zoro, before he grabs the next plate and gets to scrubbing.
“Sanji! Tell me a story!” Luffy shouts from his spot, getting excited. Nami turns her attention from her newspaper, looking mildly intrigued. Sanji sighs.
“No. I gave you food, occupy yourself.” Sanji shouts over his shoulder, and Luffy pouts.
“C’mon, Sanji. You must have a good story for us.” Nami says, trying to bait him into it. Everyone turned to face him, Usopp and Luffy putting on their best puppy dog eyes in hopes for some entertainment. Sanji pauses his fish washing, considering before shaking his head and turning around.
“I’m sorry, Nami dearest, but there truly is nothing for me to discuss on this topic. There has been nobody of notice in that area of my life, and besides, a gentleman does not kiss and tell.” He says, using a tone of remorse. Nami quirks an eyebrow at him, face going from casual to interested.
“Was that a lie, Sanji-san?” Nami asks, face breaking out into an amused smirk.
Of fucking course the brilliant redhead would see through his lie. He sighs, admitting defeat.
“You truly are too clever for your own good, my swan.” He says, moving to the table and sitting in an empty seat. The other three males look at him with varying degrees of surprise - it is very out of character for Sanji to lie to the crew let alone Nami, a woman.
“Sanji, share!” Luffy whines, wanting to hear what could possibly be such a grandiose secret to Sanji that he’d hide it.
“Be quiet, Luffy, I’m thinking of where to start.”
“How about the beginning, curly.” Zoro says, and Sanji so wants to ring the other man’s throat for being so smug. Instead, he takes a deep breath.
“Alright,” Sanji exhales, grabbing at the pack of cigs in his pocket and the lighter sitting near them. He knows he’ll need a cigarette to get through this. “So this story starts about five years ago…”
The earl grey thumbprints were really good, however were a little dry, any suggestions?
Hmmm, I guess my first question would be whether the batter was dry before baking or if the cookies came out dry despite the batter.
If the batter was dry before baking them, there's a couple things you can try:
Double-check your measurements. One of the big reasons I like using a kitchen scale instead of cups is it takes the guesswork out of how much of an ingredient (like flour or butter) you're actually using. Moisture in the air, how tightly you packed it, etc. can all affect the consistency of the batter. If a scale isn't an option, or you're already using one, then I would suggest;
Add more butter or reduce the amount of flour used. The butter and egg are the only things adding liquid to the batter. If it's dry, try adding 1 or 2 tbsp. more butter, but avoid adding more than 1/4 cup extra. The flour could also be a problem (see previous point). Avoid packing the flour when measuring with a cup. If the batter is still dry even if you're avoiding packing it, start removing flour 1 tbsp. at a time from future batches.
If the cookies came out of the oven dry, despite the batter being fine, I've got a couple suggestions for that too:
Add more apricot jam/marmalade. The jam inside the cookies is meant to keep them hydrated as they bake. When I make them, the dents reach almost to the bottom of the cookie and I fill them well past the top. If this is how you've made them too, I'd recommend checking how you're baking them since;
Convection baking kinda sucks. I kept the convection option in the recipe since it was printed in the book, but I've found it bakes everything a little strange. Try following the instructions for baking in a conventional oven for the next batch (if your stove gives an option between convection bake and conventional bake). If not, start checking the cookies 5 mins before the recommended baking time and take them out just as the bottoms turn golden.

Sugar cookies are a staple of the holiday season. Whether decorated with frosting, cut into festive shapes, or sprinkled with powdered sugar, they are the go-to cookie for gifting!
When I first decided to try this version of sugar cookie, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But, I figured I’d give them a shot since it uses my favourite tea. In the end? Best. Decision. EVER! I’ve made them for myself and friends in past holiday seasons and I constantly get asked for the recipe and/or when I’ll be making more (the answer is always December, guys).
Like the Soul Cakes marking the overlap of four different holidays at the end of October, these cookies offer a twist on the traditional treats served this time of year.
Consider baking them with the Cranberry Banana Muffins to really spice up the holiday season!

This is based on projection of my own experience of identifying as MLM trans guy to nonbinary butch lesbian so I headcanon Kirino to go thru the same pipeline, hahah. Though different to my labels, I headcanon that Kirino is both transmasc and butch lesbian.
The idea came from how Kirino keeps his pigtails despite not liking being mistaken as a girl, so I headcanon that he has a complex relationship with masculinity, hence his complicated gender journey where he mistook his masculinity as being a binary man, but in reality it's entirely outside of the conventional idea of gender (being butch)
Other than his refusal to let go of his pigtails, my main idea of the headcanon is the way he finds kinship in Joan of Arc who during her entire life was demonized for not conforming to gender roles, leading to her death. And Kirino's Joan of Arc theming doesn't end in his mixi-max but it extends to his keshin sharing the same traits as Joan's (banner bearing / raising morals of other fellow members)
I also found Kirino's development to embrace his calling as a defender and to support Shindou and other members similar to butches in history where they took the role of supporting and protecting other members of the LGBTQ community in past, too

i actually once drew him in a baseball cap before during my webfishing hyperfixation phase (full post) so it's the first thing that came up in my mind.
there's also this art used in natsu bomber of penguin trio and megane as cowboys and i think sakuma is rocking his cowboy hat so much. i always get excited whenever i see fanart of him.

There's a really good scene of Minamisawa that's in (currently untranslated) a drama CD that takes place between Holy Road and Chrono Stone, where Minamisawa got agitated over Gouenji and Kidou calling Sangoku's version of Rairaiken's rice bowl "not real Rairaidon" and went on an argument with Kidou over it loolll. I love how he went from apathetic to openly defending his friends...
(yes Gouenji and Kidou picked fights with middle schoolers. And Kidou got offended over Minamisawa calling him old. Grown ass adults)
I love Minamisawa's arc, I'm sad he left Raimon so early on bc I would've loved to see more of him, but it's still so satisfying.
I really like that he and the rest of Gassan Kunimitsu had to learn that they can't always depend on Fifth's rules. the team had already been following them even before Minamisawa joined, and he was already okay with - and kind of hoping - to just be able to fall in line and graduate with a good-looking student record. but having been in Raimon before, that seed was already planted about fighting for what you love, and he realized just what it was that he truly wanted- and that the only way for him to get it, was to fight like hell for it.
and I love that his teammates saw him give it his all and realized that Fifth's rules had been holding them back, and then and there decided to abandon those rules and throw themselves into the battle. not just to win, but for Minamisawa. because he fought so hard, against his old team no less, for something they were all hoping would just fall into their lap if they behaved and did as told. he, a newcomer, proved to them that standing by and watching wouldn't help them, and instead of disregarding him, they accepted his influence and fully committed to playing a fair and fun match. in a way, Minamisawa was to them what Tenma was to Raimon- a revolutionary wind.
him playing against his old team in the first place brings a lot of good drama also, like the betrayal and the anger and confusion- I don't know just how close he was with the other third years, but I think one of them mentioned that he hadn't told them anything about what school he was transferring to, or even that he was transferring at all. to their knowledge he just quit the soccer club and that was it. any feelings of betrayal make sense, this came out of nowhere for them.
and on his end, there seems to be some frustration about how things unfolded- he didn't leave for no reason after all, and even though he jumped at the opportunity to, it doesn't mean he feels apathetic about it. Minamisawa seems like the type of guy to act cool on the outside, but ruminate on things quite a lot inside his head. and he's not emotionless, leaving the team and Raimon as a whole had to be a big step for him, I just believe that he chose not to show it. it would be easier for everyone that way.
I really love that he acknowledged Tenma as a good player and a worthy addition to Raimon, giving credit for stirring the team with the wind of revolution. the effects that Tenma had on the team may have lead to Minamisawa leaving, but it also lead to him finding new friends and his own soccer at Gassan Kunimitsu, and ultimately reconnecting with Raimon after that match. he wasn't exactly welcome to change at first, but acknowledging and vocalizing Tenma's role in changing his life for the better is proof that he's changed and grown a lot.
and on top of that, Raimon assuring him that no matter what he'll do or where he'll go, there'll always be a spot for him at Raimon? that they'll always be waiting for him? ahhh man it's so good, it's that promise of eternal friendship and support, even after everything, even though he was the one who left. and they acknowledge that Gassan Kunimitsu needs a player like him, that he belongs to that team too now, but that it doesn't matter which uniform he wears- he will always have friends at Raimon.
Do you think sakuma will ever act like his off-duty self when he sees the teikoku (inago) members outside of school/work setting? If so, which of the members will be the most surprised?
I think he does drop the work persona around Miyabino! Which makes sense considering Miyabino is Teikoku's most trusted member at that time.
I think Sakuma would be more guarded around other members, but if he does get found out, he'd be more flustered than actually disliking it. I think like Kidou, Sakuma would want to keep a distance specifically with Teikoku members that live in a different environment than Raimon's, but because he is naturally affectionate he might drop his guard time to time off-practice. Members who are more prideful of their Teikoku status like Ryuuzaki and Mikado would be more shocked because wdym our assistant coach is actually friendly??
some of you think ‘nuanced’ only means ‘morally grey’ and I’m here to tell you that actually straight up good characters can still be nuanced and unapologetically evil characters can still be nuanced. the character doesn’t have to be an anti hero or morally dubious to have depth. they don’t even have to feel sorry about their crimes to have depth.

I really like the thought of Kidou being down bad for Sakuma. He's a person who is as motivated by love as many others in the show, and added with the comfort level he has with Sakuma he would be as affectionate as Sakuma is to him especially in adulthood. That aside I just love the idea of Kidou being a wifeguy (gender neutral) haha

Hi! First of all I’m sorry for using the characters JP names as i’m accustomed to them than their dub ones, and I can’t give screenshots as proofs as i’m too busy to rewatch as for this moment
I believe Kageyama’s actions would make sense if one considers that despite everything and for all his obsession for Kidou, Kageyama is attached to him akin to how a parent is towards their child. If he wants to commit on revenge he can simply do whatever, but he chose to manipulate Kidou to go back to him and refer to him as his creation because Kageyama actually sees Kidou as a son figure to him. They love each other, even if it’s twisted and complicated.
I’d recommend to check out Italy arc of FFI both Team K and Italy matches (episode 90 to 106) as they revealed so much about Kageyama, hopefully it’ll help clear things up for you! ^___^
Shin Teikoku arc has really good animation and storyboarding in general; this particular scene has cleverly drawn frames where Sakuma's hair was positioned to look like how he normally looks until he fully turns at Kidou and you can see the the black eye

I’d have to say blue diamond. I was made to be her therapist after all. I see her as more than a dictator or ruler. I see her as a person too.
So you’re a goldstone? Blue sunstone isn’t an actual gem! I love the plagioclase feldspar groups (aaah labradorite my beloved) and there’s not actually a natural formation of blue sunstone, since it’s characterised by its brown/red/pink/yellow colour and it usually has stripes of host rock in it rather than it being one consistent sparkling piece! Look into it, I recommend it! (as goes the gem collector rule: if it looks too good to be true it probably is! No shame in it bein goldstone, just that your blog title is incorrect!)

I wanted to follow up, since I'm the anon here, seeing this reply helped motivate me to tackle teaching myself animation using my main drawing program, since that was something I kept putting off.

I wholeheartedly agree with that one. No way Luke would wear things like that intentionally. I mean that man has a true pure boy energy (and actually is one, which is sad cause life does not do exceptions and look what it did to him). And he grew up on a freaking dust ball of a planet where peak fashion you see is hutts slaves wardrobe choices!
Yes, he is a Skywalker, and we all know that Skywalkers are always about the Drama (TM) and meaningful looks (even if it's cinemas fault). Which Luke certainly shares. And yes, jedis in general have their own culture and style.
So far the worst we've seen were Darth Vader and Kylo Ren. Cause they need to be intimidating and make people aware who is the Bad Guy around here. Next comes Leia with her political career. She must be aware of her appearance. And only then comes Luke with his simple Jedi look with some meaning behind it. Only in color btw. And that's it. The worst we've seen him was Dramatically (TM) taking off his hood.
So yes, I believe Luke is a true Skywalker, therefore a true Drama Queen, but more in action department than fashion one.
Leia and Luke are too practical to actually participate in real FASHHHHHION. But they both can and will do styles cause they know the power of proper look. It may as well be Force related thing cause they know what effect it causes.

Just like he ended up running around in that yellow jacket. What if he has on idea what are those clothes cause he was given them at some point and was like, oh they feet and are quite comfy to wear and fight in, thank you very much I will certainly wear them! And next time he strides in some Leias politician party/snake nest and everyone goes OH SHIT internally. Because Channel boots are what they are and they make Luke look really nice and he still a jedi and a pure boy with a power to crush you. So. While Luke definitely has no real understanding why people around him react like this, but they do and it helps him help Leia so why not.
The only culprit behind this disaster must be Han, who will laugh right until Leia comes down at him, but won't stop gifting Luke discreet fashion shit. And Luke will certainly find out at some point and OH WOW that explains everything. He will either have no care in the world or make Han stop cause it ruins his reputation as a jedi and teacher.
So yeah. I once again stress it that Luke is not that kind of human, who will care about fashion. As a crack this headcanon is fine, otherwise it is not.
Yes, Luke how I see him is a Little Shit. Is a Drama Queen because of it. He may be ace or gay or whatever. But he is not a sucker for fashion. Just. Not.

And the first 5 minutes of it explains A LOT. Never was in all that celebrity stuff, even my homelands ones. So. No idea how it may work on the inside. What is seen as normal and most widespread.
But this? I never expected something like this. Why would they encourage this spoiled child behavior in their leads? It already more often than not comes to lead actors/actresses naturally.
That is so disappointing and frustrating to suddenly find out that things we all are used to work wrong at their core.
It breaks my heart every single time to find this things normalized and integrated. And the scariest thing is - no one cares to try and change it. It always takes so much courage to stand up against old and harmful systems even when they are obviously flawed.
This ladies and gentlemen, and everyone else, are the people who wrote off Dean and Castiel in the most disrepectful way. You wonder why? Roll the video. You see nothing wrong with these clips? Oh… i feel sorry for you. If you honestly think these people love and respect both Jensen but especially Misha you are in the wrong. I am sorry but “jokes” and “funny” has its barriers. And the way Misha was treated all these years, the example above being only one from many, is just utterly disrespectful. For someone who works as hard as Jensen and Jared you are telling me this is the attitude he deserves? Saying he is “not as high quality” as the ‘duo’ of the show? I’m sorry but i cannot and will not have any respect for these kind of people.
