⭑.ᐟ synopsis: rodger simply comforts an insecure glisten after a devastating view of others leaving him again

⭑.ᐟ a/n: this fanfic was simply my friends' idea so hehe and i kinda made this like a few days ago or something

“you’re leaving..? w-wait! don't leave me!” twisted glisten yelled, rushing towards the players in the elevator.

ichor fell down his half shattered face, a look of panic on his face when the elevator slammed shut in his face, leaving him alone. he fell down to his knees, crying quietly and choking on his tears.

he slowly stood up, sniffling a little as he walked towards twisted rodger’s capsule, sitting by it. slowly, rodger emerged from his disguise, towering over him.

“glisten?” he called out to him gently, his voice low yet soothing in his ears. glisten lifted his head up, hesitantly looking into his one eye.

“i'm sorry you have to see me like this again.. i swear, i just.. i can't–”

rodger placed his hand on glisten's head, looking towards the direction of the closed elevator that was just a distance away from them. a disappointed look crossed his face, making him sigh.

“it isn't your fault. those players were the ones who abandoned you anyway, but i most likely won't, despite my form,” he pointed out, looking down at the pool of ichor that went from his waist to the floor.

glisten followed rodger's gaze, gazing at his pitiful state. glisten’s eyes softened in pity and sadness, but he looked away afterwards.

“i'm sorry you had to be like that too.. you.. didn't deserve getting infected like that,” glisten mumbled quietly, avoiding his gaze. rodger's gaze softened at well, watching as he wallowed in his self-pity.

“why are you apologizing? this infection isn't something you did. it's that.. ugh, blasted dandy,” rodger voiced out the name with hatred, clenching his free hand into a fist. his other hand stayed on glisten's head before rodger looked down at him.

“you know i won't leave you, right?” he questioned, giving him reassurance as he ran his fingers through his swirly hair. although glisten had taken the time to style it, it didn't matter if it was rodger who messed it up.

glisten stayed quiet, still feeling insecure and rodger could sense that. he sunk half of his body down in the pool of ichor, making sure he was the other's height. he reached out, placing his hand on glisten's cheek and caressing it.

“don't stay quiet. say something, glisten. i beg to hear your voice at least,” the magnifying glass spoke, his gaze showing a slight look of desperation. it was rare for the detective to show such emotion, but he couldn't help it when it came to glisten.

at his words, the mirror sighed, his breath shaky. immediately, he wrapped his arms around rodger, hugging him tightly. “i don't deserve you..”

rodger's eye widened at his hug, feeling a tad bit off guard. but he didn't pull away, he simply wrapped his arms around glisten, one of his hands cradling the back of his head and the other on the small of his back.

glisten smiled faintly, nuzzling his cheek against rodger's, finding comfort in his embrace. soon, rodger spoke his last words, wanting nothing but to cuddle him.

“you do deserve me. you just.. didn't know it. but i’ll make sure you see how much i value your existence, glisten. to me, you're everything. and.. i’ll never let you go. i won't let anyone hurt you either.”

“my promise. from me, to you.”

also, what could be if rare toons will be a mastermind (Im just wanna listen your opinion)

well let's see there's glitsen who probably would have not want to do any of it but I got forced to do to the role.

Then we have Roger who would probably oh I don't know do it for like to see how Toons could investigate stuff. And try to hide the evidence or try to get away with it but of course fails pretty much he just hosted like a murder mystery party to see which Toons would be best for his crew of detective stuff.

Goob and scraps, I really can't think of anything for them I feel like they would also be forced to do the role trying to protect one another.

and Gigi we're probably like it cuz it's like a gambling with your lives.

Then lovely flutter definitely will be probably one of those dangerous masterminds in the game cuz she's always so quiet and has stuff written her diary. No like everyone secrets and knows everyone for abilities and weaknesses.

Could you do little Rodger headcanons? I can picture him age regressing due to stress and Toodles playing with him

Yes!

I also imagine the same thing of Rodger regressing and toodles playing silly games with him if he regresses, toodles don’t know what exactly age regression is but realizes that he acts differently sometimes!

He probably don’t have an exact cg or even people he usually play around cuz he wouldn’t really wanna tell anyone but some of the toons have figured out or had a feeling about it (Teagan, Glisten, Goob, Flutter, Shrimpo, and kinda Pebble and Toodles)

He probably secretly loves playing more feminine games, idk why but he just probably does

His regression is 100% involuntary (due to him overworking)

Sorry I haven’t been posting btw I have been really stressed and busy. I promise to slowly start posting again but it will take me a while. I’m starting with getting some of my simpler requests and simple posts done before working on the harder ones.
