Outcodes: The Goddess & The Revenant

The Goddess Yu Wa is an Outcode variant of Snyk inspired by the Chinese folk goddess Nu Wa, creator and protector of humanity. Yu Wa guards my corner of the multiverse as the embodiment of my creative will: what I want for my own story world is what will be. In the legend of Nu Wa, the goddess uses five colored stones to patch a hole in the heavens causing a great flood. Since Undertale has 7 colors associated with a major part of its world (the human SOULs), I decided to give her 7 stones that help her patch parts (and people) of the multiverse that have broken. Generally, Yu Wa is friendly but detached, a serene being with a time-and-space spanning perspective.

The Revenant is the opposite of serene. Having been murdered by the Bad Sanses across time and space in different timelines or AUs, the bits of code that recorded Snyk's deaths coalesced together from her strong sense of JUSTICE and her ability to use KARMA and created the Revenant. The Revenant isn't a fully sentient being. Her singular drive is to hunt down and eliminate Bad Sanses in the multiverse. She can't be reasoned with or convinced to show any mercy, even by living variants of Snyk. While she won't kill anyone besides Bad Sanses, she will forcefully move others out of her way if they try to stop her. She rarely speaks other than to pronounce her judgment when facing a Bad Sans.

Some friends and I were joking around about an angel & demon au on Discord a while back, so I did designs for Snyk as both.

I dunk on him lovingly but Killer is my favorite AU Sans, after all. He's a good boy and after a long road home, he deserves a smooch.

MafiaSwap Snyk was created for @archiarthur ‘s very fun MafiaSwap AU, and I decided to finally figure out Snyk’s SwapFell variant (lower right) because I love Archi’s SwapFell: Chain Bond AU so much. [Actually, I should make a Chain Bond specific version of her... though the design would be similar, I’d like it to feature a chain somewhere and maybe incorporate Chief’s, the FellSwap Sans’s, colors since she’s his ardently devoted lackey/simp personal aide...]

And priestess Snyk was created for @scrambledmeggys ‘s samurai AU which I also adore with all my heart!

Rough design concept for a Post-Killer!Sans after a Good Timeline of Something New. We never got to see what @rahafwabas [Killer's creator] would have done, but I like to imagine that with the help of his loved ones, Sans killed Chara, and was able to have the Determination extracted from his SOUL with the DT extraction machine after using Chara's SOUL with the other six break the barrier. He's not completely back to the way he was before his code was tampered with, but he's recovering and looking forward to the future. (Yes that's basically a snuggie and cutoff sweats. He's probably not going to wear them forever as his new signature look, but the man deserves to be extra comfy for a while.)

Snyk has continued to work as a counselor now that monsters have rejoined the surface world, and specializes in post-underground transitions and human-monster relations. She also runs free community workshops to help build bridges between humans and monsters in the area she’s visiting.

She’s an old friend of Sans and Alphys, and is doing Sans a “favor” by helping to socialize his “cousins” (pro-bone-o, of course). They’re not her clients, but making friends with them should help them to shed some of their more asocial habits, right?
